I pity people that think 100 million naira is a big money.
You are on point bro,

If you have not left Nigeria, you will think 100million is Money.
If you trade 100million naira for British passport then it shows you are daft and bereft of ideas.
That 100million that you think is money can be earned in less than 2years and you will still be with your passport and travel round the world.

We have people who had sold their properties worth more than 100million and now a permanent resident here with no regret.

Starting business in Nigeria is 50/50,if it's not carefully managed ,you can loose larger percent of that money within your 5 years of investment.

I don't get your point bro you mixing things up here.......I ask again what makes up the congregation? Trees, mansions titles (mr/ Mrs or pastor or reverend) or human beings?

If I may ask, who are the Christians that Jesus Christ heads?
A. Goats B. Ram C. Tree D. Human-beings.

What is your answer? Are the disciples of Christ trees? Are they not human beings?
So, when you keep saying....... congregation!! Congregation!!! Are congregations trees?

Haba.....this is very clear!!

You also ignored all the Bible passages I stated there that clearly buttressed the topic.

I don't really understand you.

UKVI request interviews at the discretion of the officer but most common with schools that don’t conduct their pre-cas assessment (interview).

Just upload your NYSC certificate.
Don’t complicate things by uploading employment letter.
As a fresh graduate without any study gap on your cv,you don't need any employment letter.

Reason why schools ask for employment letter is for you to demonstrate what you have been doing since when you graduated.

ebubeson:
If an instrumentalist or drummer or singer is a full-time staff of the church; and employee of the church; such a person must be paid. It is just like working in a bank. The church is his or her office, so such a person must be paid.

It is wrong to ask for payment when you are a member of a church and still get your source of livelihood elsewhere. You cannot be working in the bank, a company etc, and still tell your pastor to pay you because you are a drummer, instrumentalist, etc. Does it mean you cannot help God's house without being paid?
If church instrumentalist be paid then Sunday school teachers, ushers, sanctuary keepers,Ministers, choirs, technical department officers and every other people working in the house of God be paid .

I pray the lord gives us Wisdom.

It's a personal decision though. As for me and my family,we choose to serve in God's vineyard with our Gods given gift and talent free.

His grace has always be sufficient. Why not trying and serve in his vineyard (Church) free and see what your life would become.

Read Mathew 23:23
Jesus never apolish tithe.Rather he encourages us to be more merciful, faithful
"
What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law — justice, mercy, and faith. Hello guys,

For some days now I have been on a serious dilemma whether to resign from my federal government job that pays me above N200k for my current position and migrate to the UK or stay in naija and set up a business to augment my salary. I will be 34 years next year, I feel traveling to the uk for studies next year September will delay my chances of getting married, as I have planned not exceeding 34 years without getting married.

I belong to the school of thought that believes can make it in Nigeria despite all odds. However, considering the economic realities of the country, I have recently contemplating of japa and maybe get a Nigerian lady for marriage after my studies.

Please I earnestly need matured advice from you guys to know how to start the coming year.
Hello bro,
If you have the funds that can pull you through, start your application now for September intake. PLEASE suspend marriage as you will definitely get someone over here.

UK had stopped Msc students from bringing in their dependent. Please 200k is nothing to what you will have here when you eventually settled. Start and build your life here bro.

I am talking from experience, don't allow anyone to discourage you. You are still young and you have got lots of opportunities here bro. I Had to log in because of this trend and because we are in the same age bracket.

If you have the funds, pls leave as soon as possible.

So what's your point

You guys focus on the money earned but not on what the money earned can purchase....the purchasing power of the money. See another analysis for you to stop Lmao grin

If our bobo londoner works for the standard 8 hours per day and earning £10 per hour and he works for 5 days a week; he would have earned = £10 x 8 hours = £80/ day x 5 days/week = £400/week x 4 weeks = £1,600 per month. With this earning bobo londoner is taking nothing home at month end and cannot afford to buy that kind of £10 food every day if he does he might be in debt see why:

Now for bobo pays average of £1,480 for house rent monthly and pays average of £140 for transportation to work. That's £1,480 + £140 = £1,600 per month ONLYgrin. If bobo londoner tries to buy his £10 food everyday as man must wak that's £10 x 30 days = £300 per month.

Therefore, bobo londoner must werk grin on Saturdays to survive that's £80 x 6 days × 4 weeks = £1,920 - £1,480 - £140 - £300 = £0.00 per month grin

So Bobo Londoner must werk grin on Sundays to have £80 at every month end grin

Workers in Nigeria do not work on Saturdays and Sundays before you start your comparison again grin
That your sampling is biased.

If that's the case for everyone no one would come to the UK.

If you want to Live a Luxury Lifestyle and don't want to have any savings back home then UK is not for you.

People here Rent 3 bedroom apartments and let out rooms(share apartment) and they have huge and reasonable savings at the end of the month.
And within some few years of consistent (3-5years) savings they get their own Mortgage.

Priorities Matters Oga.

Why would you earn 1600 and pay 1480.Is that 1480 for a room or 2bedroom.

If London no pay you then you move to more viable cities.

Don't use your extravagant Lifestyle to compare with people with good savings Culture.

You can make it easily here in the UK if you know what you are doing.

I'm posting this as a response to the topic that made Nairaland front page yesterday; "See What Someone Bought With An Hour Minimum Wage In The UK £10", the link: https://www.nairaland.com/7929193/see-what-someone-bought-hour

UK & US ARE OVER-RATED NIGERIA IS STILL BETTER in terms of cost of living see a practical example why doing a price comparison: 1 pound to 1 naira today is N1,001 so are you saying with £10 x N1,001 = N10,001 you cannot buy everything in that basket and collect change in Nigeria today?

1 Sliced Bread = N800
2 Spaghetti = N1400
1 Gesha = N600
1 live chicken = N3,000
1 75cl soya Oil = N1,400
1 Midium size Butter = N600
2 Gino Tomato paste = N1,000

Total = N8,800 so your change is N1,200 that's if you exchange pound to naira at offical rate and buying at the most expensive stores or high brands. If you exchange at black market rate and buy at public market "days" you will collect as much as N6,000 after buying everything in that basket....that's about £6 left.

LET'S JUST THANK GOD FOR WHAT WE HAVE AND STOP LOOKING AT AND GLORIFYING ANOTHER MAN'S LAND MORE THAN OUR OWN....OUR OWN NA OUR OWN O grin
The Op is bereft of ideas and he does not know he's bereft.

Take this post down as there's no basis for Comparism.

It's so disheartening that some primary school teacher still earns that 10k as monthly salary in Nigeria.

One doesn’t have to wait till after 10 or 15years before one can go back to see the loved ones in Nigeria except you are not sincere or something is shady.

If you have the Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) as a student, worker or a dependant, you could enter and go out so far you have your money for flight and informed your school or took permission from your place of work.

That your kind of scenario is common in Canada, Australia and US where people that are extremely fortunate to enter with tourist visa or student visa and decided not to go again.

Ranting. Ranting. Ranting.

I have decided to rant out my predicaments on this forum today.

What is the way out of poverty for me?

One inlaw is even living with us, making it 8 in number, all in one room.

This thing don come big pass me.

I know most of you here would blame me for impregnating a woman to give birth to that number of children but then, life is life. It happens like that sometimes.

They say a poor man's prayer is "e go better" but instead of things to get better in Nigeria, everyday things get worse.

Truth is, except I drive myself out of this mess to a better life for me and my children, this poverty that is so stricken will likely be extended to my children, which I really don't want.

No two ways about it except ...

But like a car without tyres, can it move even if it has fuel? Definitely no.

For 4 days now, I sleep outside in an abandoned car because of financial war at home. I can't go back home and I even feel like never to go back there but should I abandon them like that and run away? To where?

When I went to the market the other day with 5k to buy food items for the house, I was crying and talking to myself on my way back because I came back with almost nothing.

Nigeria have succeed to plug life out of poor Nigerians. The poor cannot breathe again. Let's die and go.

Advice: never give birth when you are not financially strong. Unfortunately, I've learned my lesson the hard way.

Life happens.

How do I help this family better than I am trying?

Wishing you the best in all you do.
You are one of the problem of Nigeria.

Onedayoneday:
Based on tips, I had to attend an interview today. The information was that if I am shortlisted, I will start work latest first week of March. So I was very happy and ready to do anything to attend the interview.

As an applicant without a kobo, I had to kneel down begging a neighbour before he borrowed me 1k to enable me pay my way. The transport fare to and from was to gulp N400 or more.

My in and out was just the 1k. In fact, my feeding was also inside the 1k - everything. So it was a priceless 1k that every kobo was very important.

Early in the morning, I heard people arguimg over the deadline for new naira notes. People refused to collect the old naira notes.

So I boarded a bus with the N1000 note which I paid to the conductor. My transport fare was N100. When I came down, the conductor gave me new N500 note and two old N200 notes, making it N900. I refused to collect the old N200 notes. He insisted he didnt have new naira notes to change for me. Argument ensued as I refused to collect the old notes.

Like I said, that was the only money with me. So I didnt want to take any chances of collecting old notes that I will later not be able to use. So in the midst of the argument, he wanted to move and leave, I tried to stop him by gently holding his t-shirt. I didnt know his polo shirt was that soft. Unluckily for me, the polo got torn.

That was how war was declared. The conductor and the driver descended on me. They first targeted at tearing my shirt too despite showing remorsefulness over getting his shirt torn. Not once, not twice, they kept tearing my shirt till at some point, I put a resistance. Of course that couldn't be without a fight. I won't lie, those guys dealt with me. Two agbero hands descending on one non-agbero hand. Before people could intervene, they tore my shirt and a part of my trouser, gave me serious bruises, got me so dirty and stopped me from attending the interview.

I went back home like a mad man.

A very sad day for me.

May God help and bless me with a well-paid job.
The struggle continues!!!

MANY WHO MARRY LATE, DID NOT WISH TO... but this generation UNDERSTANDING GIRLS ARE RAREEEEEEEEEEEEEE.... veryyyyyyy. If movies do not influence them, peers would, parents would... go to shiloh... many of the girls there are not holding the pics of jobless broke hustlers... but of rich dudes that they want to marry.

Thank God for your own side of the coin, BUT I HAVE SEEN BOTH SIDES... so I have a broader perspective.

I have sen guys marry at 20+ struggle to have children till 40+... and I have seen 40+ give birth to twins and triplets. Pls let's be guided... LIFE IS THE OPPOSITE OF SCHOOL.... School will teach you before it tests you... LIFE WILL TESTS YOU, EXAM YOU then you will learn the lesson.

WITH ALL THESE SAID, WE HAVE NOT TALKED OF CURSESSS... VILLAGE PEOPLE HINDRANCES, etc... MANY PRETTY LADIES WITH GOOD HIGH PAYING JOBS are in this categories... no serious man comes for them.. and F.Y.I they are not proud ladies o... yet only WOMB SHIFTERS AND MARRIED MEN SEE THEM.... they have been covered in the spirit realm by a viel. If you like do not believe but go find strong alfas or strong men of God, then you may reconsider and understand LIFE IS SPIRITUAL.

its well
OGA stop quoting negativity to oppose my opinion.
I'm not talking the one's that have spiritual challenge or whatsoever.
"'UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES "
A man should get married in his early 30's.

1.Dont wait till you have it all before you get married if you have a supporti and understanding partner.
2.Both of you should get something doing no matter how small
3.Limit child bearing until your status changes.

It's as simple as that.'UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES ".
We have more than one million of people that started rough, thousands of countless success stories built from the scratch.

What I notice about life,if you no do pass your self,You will grow in life.
When you are expected to rent a single room don't follow society rent 2 bedroom, when you should life at Ajegunle, don't stay in Ajah.

Moreover: I was advicing only the men that unnecessarily delay their destiny that until they build a duplex ,own a car and land a mouth watering Job before they get married.
