Bigwayne: It is important to know your CRS score if you intend to use the Express Entry route eventually to get your PR after studies in Canada. The express entry route requires a program of at least 8 months and 8 months of physical presence in Canada to be able to claim points for Canadian education. People get PR as federal skilled workers within months of graduating. To say that it is impossible is false. To say that it is a bigger safety net to go for a 2 year program for a 3 yr pgwp is true. It helps to apply through the Canadian Experience class. Within 3 years you can get a 1 year work experience under the appropriate NOC and apply through the CEC. I never said it’s impossible tho, I only said it’s highly unlikely and we are still saying the same thing with the points thingyyy. |

Bigwayne: How does a 1 yr program not qualify for PR. This is untrue. It’s never impossible to get PR with a year of study but it’s highly unlikely. It’s a point system and the higher your points , the higher chances of you getting the PR. |

Foski01: Good evening NL.
Gurus, I have two questions
1. Is there a negative impact on my application if I withdraw some money from an account I already submitted its bank statement. I.e I submitted 4m bank statement while applying in July and in August I withdraw 200k.
Note: I am yet to get request for medicals, yet to do my bvn, yet to get an AIP.
2. For a students who took a PGC (usually 1yr) and is likely to get a 1yr PGWP, what does this mean with respect to their eligibility to apply for PR? I don’t think so, I believe VO don’t have access to how you run your account after the SOA is submitted. They sometimes ask for recent SOA from you , so I’ll advice you limit how much withdrawals you make on your account if the funds ain’t coming in too well. I stand to be corrected though. On your 2nd question : Getting PR after a one year program is doable for some. Impossible to say what your chances would be. Much higher chances with a three year PGWP. There are plenty of people who either aren't able to secure a job after they graduate from a one year program or aren't able to secure the right kind of job after they graduate from a one year program in order to qualify. |

Rach622: Please can I use a gift deed from my Husband's elder brother as a proof of funds for my studies in canada?
How long should this gift deed have been with us? Can it be accepted if it's less than a month it was issued? Yeah i have seen a lot of people who have submitted gift deeds. It's a common practice and very much accepted by the VO. Yes it will be accepted if it’s less than a month and all you just have to do is make sure the gift deed is not poorly worded when writing your LOE. Below is a sample of how it should be started in your LOE. GIFT DEED I, Your Father Name, S/o Your Grandfather Name , R/o ADDRESS, do hereby on dated 00/10/2016 make a gift-deed for a gift made on dated of 00/10/2016, Rs. 000000/- (Rupees Only) out of love and affection to my Son (Your Name), S/o Father Name, ADDRESS. I confirm that I am a resident of India. I, further confirm that this gift is being made out of my own funds standing to the credit of my A/c No.- 000000000 in ABC Bank, Bank Address. I, further confirm that the consideration for this gift is the love and affection for my Son (Your Name) and no other consideration. I further confirm that the gift has been made by Cheque No. 000000 dated 00/10/2016 drawn on ABC Bank, BANK ADDRESS. This gift is irrevocable and I have no claim left whatsoever on the said gifted amount and he is free to utilise it in any manner. PLACE: DATED: (Your Father Name) Witness: The gift as stated above is accepted (Your Name) NB : The above should be written in your own words and you shouldn’t avoid plagiarism by all means. |

Muslimity: Thanks Bros! If he applies now, knowing full well that the priority is for Fall 2020, what benefits could we hope to gain when they eventually attend to his application?
Since a minor cannot travel/study alone in Canada without being under a custodian watch his mother wants to go with him as an accompanying parent in line with IRCC requirement. Now the question is: if he sends in his application for Fall 2021 right away, will it not raise any suspicion that we simply want to take advantage of this season of massive AIP which is meant for Sept 2020? Please, advise me as I dont want to take any useless risk either way. Nope it’s always advisable to apply in time and it will do no harm if you apply now cus the are mainly attending to the September 2020 intake and they won't prioritise the application as someone said earlier. |

Osemigho: Young folks are forgiven a lot. The biggest foul play will be sponsor. It is best if parent or siblings sponsor him. Also make sure your POF is tight. All the SOP and LOE no be big matter for young people like him. It is the parent job to submit tight sponsor documents and letter of support. If you still want him to add LOE, let him write a short one by himself and review it. You need to let him write in his words, while you ensure he touches the whole application,
1. Why he wants to study what he is gong for
2. Who is sponsors are and the relationship.
3. What he plans to do upon his return e.g. NYSC and others.
All the best. Very well said. |

Muslimity: Good evening All,
Please, I like to know when applying for study permit for my son: who should be the one spraking in the SOP/LOE? Even if I wish to write the SOP, should I speak using the first person pronoun or the third person pronoun?
NOTE: My son is a minor (15 years old) going for undergraduate studies.
Kindly guide and advise. First person pronoun because your son is person involved and he should be the speaker. |

Nwannediutor: Much Ado about nothing!
I have seen the argument for and against starting online classes with AIP and I think we are just too hard on ourselves.
IRCC has been very clear and unambiguous about this. Study permit applications will go through two stages; eligibility check and admisibility check
In the eligibility review, IRCC will confirm you actually got an admission with a DLI, that you are a genuine student, have enough money to take care of your studies and have enough home ties to ensure you return after studies.
The admissibility is where security checks are conducted ( e.g - your fingerprints are shared with the Canada Border Services Agency to see if you have violated any immigration rules before.) It is also in this stage that your medicals is evaluated to ascertain if you will be a huge risk and burden to the Canadian health system.
Bottomline, is that if you do not have criminal records and no serious health challenges, you are 100% sure of getting the final approval.
You don't except IRCC to give you a 100% guarantee of getting final approval when they cannot confirm yet that you are not a criminal and that you don't have a serious health issue.
Congratulations to everyone who has received the AIP.
I am honestly praying that I receive mine soon. Very well said and I can’t agree more to this. |

Lekiboboe: True Talk & Very Factual
In a Scenerio like this,
An Applicant Got this mail from the international dept. Of his school based on the mail he sent to them.
Note : Tuition Paid for Fall 2020 Program, No Online Class (Strictly In-person Class), Gotten AIP, Programs Starts Early September
Hello,
Hope this note finds you well!
If I am understanding your situation correctly –
- You have applied for a prog. which is NOT offered in January 2021 ( next intake available for Fall 2021 only)
- You have applied for the Visa but have not received a decision yet
- The program has lab component so you cannot start from overseas and need to be in Canada to start your program
In this situation there are three things you can do – -Wait for your visa decision and then see if the Government makes any changes to travel restrictions for those students who receive their visas after March 18
- Based on if and when the Government announces changes, you may then think about applying to another January program
- Request a refund
We would suggest wait for your Visa Decision before making any decision.
Regards
In this situation what would likely be the best option to choose?
Though the Applicant is looking at REQUSTING A REFUND |

oloreofe01: Hello house, please is it true that Canada embassy does not accept pictures for SP application submitted through paper route? I submitted my SP application at Lagos Vfs office in February but the lady who attended to me returned the pictures included saying that Canada doesn't accept pictures. I even told her that a colleague recently submitted his paper application and included pictures.
I am currently thinking of sending the pictures via web form. Please what do you advise? Hello, There’s an option to attach an image in the web form page so do well to Include whatever you feel will strengthen your application. |
