MamaIva: Thank you. My Bsc was in physiology. And i what to futher in Global business management PGD programme. quote author=Fgmp12 post=93616728] TRUE... Just proof that the PGD is an UPGRADE and it’ll benefit/useful to you. All the bestest Sir/Ma’ I have 2 questions? 1- What’s your Bsc CGPA? 2- Have you had any career in Global business management ? Well Physiology and Global Business management isn’t in any way related. The VO might probably not understand the connection from Physiology to Global business management just has I don’t , They prefer to see a linear education continuation. Can you convince the VO why you’re switching to Global Management bussiness? You need to show a proper transition into your career path. Well, I believe you should do well in explaining why the career change and address your career plan. Writing a strong SOP to explain the switch and how this program will benefit you and get higher ranked job with better salary threshold after finish this degree is your key. All the bestest Sir/Ma’ |

vibrant99: My DEAR
Some where up there i also wrote it is an opinion and also based on information and experience . Everytime you people will be asking of source , is there anywhere that there is a source of VISA approval/Rejections?
You went on to give us a name of JUST one person , NAIJAFOREIGNER? not 100 people not 1000people?
How many people are following this thread? How many people are replying this comment?
But you only one person who had 2.1 and went to College? Do you know how many people apply to college from Nigeria alone? use this page as a guide , you will be surprised, then follow up with them one after the other and ask them about their application and how it went.
Most of them even backed out and have left NAIRALAND.
I wrote my experience down and you are countering with mere sentiments? do you know how many college applications i am personally aware of? they are not even on this page, even some people who live in Europe who came back to Nigeria Just to apply.... This Naija people dey tire sometimes.
My brother if 100 people Applied to College in Canada with 1st Class or 2.1 or 2.2, Tell anybody anywhere that i said it, Less than 10 People will get Approval, Come up with your content and i will waiting.
STOP making people throw their Monies away for nothing. If you want Send your application to the best Pastor to pray on it, if na College oo, Your application change is through the eye of the needle.
Mind you , If you are applying for COLLEGE, be aware! Hey, I trust you’re doing well and staying safe. I have absolutely no idea why you have such negative reviews on colleges in Canada. None of us are qualified to rate colleges on strong vs not strong in the eyes of IRCC. All we can do is to encourage and give suggestions based on what we hear/ have heard or our own experiences. However, at the end of the day, I believe the only people qualified to give college advice are the certified agents by IRCC. I come in peace bro. |

If yes, how do I go about requesting for it and how much does it cost? Yes you can order for GcMs note if you’re curious and want to know more on your application and where you stand. A google search on GcMs note should give you some information on how to get it and how much it would cost. All the bestest Sir/Ma’. |

Eficator: @ Fgmp12 and others pls help read this my plight Hi Eficator, Congratulations on your admission to University of Saskatchewan. Proof of funds : You can definitely apply with 1 year of living expense (i.e.,5million naira- $10,000) + 1 year of tuition fee + some extra charges. They have accepted applications with fewer funds but its better to be safe from the beginning. I believe your parents can actually stand as your main sponsor while the MaJ gen can be your Co-sponsor provided he’s willing to write a letter of sponsorship stating why he’s sponsoring you, the relationship he has with you, what he stand to gain after and all. You need to proof that he has been of help to you in the past too, a simple screen shot of a certain amount he sent to you some years/months ago should do. P.S.The above answers are just my thoughts/opinions. All the bestest Sir/Ma’ |

HMO card 17. Employment letter and confirmation letter Course was graduate certificate in My current field which I have 8 years working experience I think you should do well in explaning why you chose to go for a graduate certificate when you've 8years working experiece which can actually get you into a more advanced degree. I see you submitted some professional certificates, International certification too. Why go for another cerificate when you already have those cerificates and some years of experience, The VO might feel like you're backtracking. VO doesn't see any career or educational progression for a graduate certificate after your 8yrs of experience in the field. You need to convince the Visa officer with strong SOP why you need that education. Just make the VO understand what you stand to gain (How it will be added to your RESUME and how you'll be promoted to an higher post in your work place )with the graduate certificate. Just proof how it will be an upgrade to you even with all your years of experience. P.S. : The above is no place an instructions manual but just a guide . All the bestest Sir/Ma' |

Jus4c: Hello everyone, I received my Approval in Principle (AIP) letter yesterday, 1st September,2020. Below is my timeline:
Application Submitted: 7th August,2020 Request for Biometric(BVL): About three hours same day, 7th August. The BVL letter was meant for my spouse, as I have a TRV already, and as such had done biometric for previous TRV application. Biometric Completed: 20th August,2020 GCMS Notes Ordered: 30th August 2020 : I chose to place this order because my profile was showing ‘We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements’ Since 23rd of August. So, I was curious to know the status of my application. Now that the AIP has dropped before the outcome of the ordered GCMS note, I can use the result of the GCMS note to know if the AIP still stands, since the current study permit application process appears not to be predictable. Medical: Exempted due to my current location of residence Approval in Principle (AIP): 1st September, 2020 This application is for the Winter of 2021. I wish everyone the best. Congratulations Jus4c. |

I have a question about this home-tie parole. I dont have any home-tie except my family (i.e. my parents and siblings). No building, business...
Do you think this strong enough? Yes your family can serve has good home ties but you need to explain to the VO why you would want to come back to them after your studies in Canada. Just be emotional and make the VO feel for you and reason with all your points. What course are you going for? Does your course have a good job prospect here in Nigeria? All the bestest Sir/Ma’ |

Spotlights: @Fgmp12. You may be right as we are all trying to be safe and not to loose huge sum. Categorically IRCC stated that having AIP is not subject to Visa approval (either approved or refused) and it later quote that applicant MAY commence class online.
If IRCC can't reason with applicants that paid to study in a class then I am sure they wouldn't force them to study online (with additional sum incurred, lack of concentration, inconsistencies, mental state, time zone differences, etc)
Looking at both phrase as tricky as it could be then I see where doubts comes in but nevertheless application would still have to be scrutinized even with AIP or not.
It's a choice to proceed online or wait for full Visa so far admission is still intact.
Let's hope for the best from the lots of stories, guessing, speculations and beliefs.
Just a thought Can’t agree more, Well spot on! |

rebeccausoro: Thank you. I am starting online too. First class is tomorrow sef. 9pm-11pm. I have subscribed 10gb plans on MTN and GLO. I'm on 4G. I have a laptop with 5 hours+ battery and I can always use the generator if NEPA fails. My phone battery also lasts just in case. My major issue is with the books I may need but my university has a great online library and I can access whatever I need easily.
I am not really afraid for my AIP because I got a medical request too. I just want to do my program and focus on it. I'm going to Canada to study first. Everything is not about PR or PGWP. Yes, I want those too but I want the education more, whether online or not.
But not everyone can afford online classes though. I sympathize with those who have to defer because they cannot afford online lectures or cope with it. All of us will get our TRV soon. Have some faith. I feel the same too and it’s never easy... |

fratermathy: People rationalise too much. No one is a VO here and people shouldn't cast their gloom upon others. Many are content with starting their programs with an AIP. Others will defer. We don't have to make the AIP a subject of too much debate. Some have it, many others do not.
One thing is certain in this: the fastest way for any country to improve her economy is to open her borders. Canada has not done that yet. It is also clear that with or without the AIP, students are deferring and IRCC is aware of this. Nobody is baiting anyone. They are doing what they can. Applicants should also do what they want.
Personally, I'll advise anyone who has the AIP to start online (especially those in programs that will be completed in 2 or more years). Covid-19 won't go away by next year. Some of these restrictions or hybrid instruction models will still be there. No one can divine what the future will be. Many may choose the negative side of things for one reason or another but I'd rather err on the positive side of things. We are not in normal times. Any progress should be accepted.
To all those starting their programs online as from today, I wish you good luck in everything. Many of us across the world will do same because we know the value of education. May the odds be in your favour! I personally think it raises highbrows when you get AIP and the VO knows your course can be done online and then you defer because the border are closed and you can’t fly down there. As quoted by someone on the Canada Forum “I know students paid the money to study from with-in Canada instead of online, but by deferring after receiving AIP kind of put the intent in doubt that the student just want to get in to Canada for PR instead of genuinely studying for the course that was suppose to start in Fall 2020. AIP was based on the application that was for Fall 2020 and the evidences provided in application was to support for that only. Now the LOA has changed, it could be a different program, different university, different financial requirements which could render original decision useless. My assumptions might be wrong tho. |

Zikstar4me: Hello all, apart from your SOP, what are things you can do in your application to make your home ties appear stronger? Just present substantiated facts that at the end of your studies, you will not remain in Canada illegally but that you will return to your home country when required to do so. E.g including documents that show that you have had a stable, permanent job, preferably with the same employer for a minimum of one year; pay stubs. If you are self-employed, you should show copies of your business registration or incorporation, proof of contracts or projects, tax returns, details of your business structure, and a clear indication of who will be responsible for your business in your absence. Other proof could be a copy of any monetary bonds that you may have to the government, scholarship funders, a signed contract or letter stating your obligation to return. Proof of assets such as registered land title, maybe a major equipment, and vehicles. All the bestest Sir/Ma’ |

olasubomy: Good evening everyone,
I trust you are good and had a great day.
Please i need useful tips on what i can lay claim on to make my home ties argument stronger?
1, Please just to add that i don't have a landed property yet,
2, I cannot get a study leave letter from my current place of work because this would raise eyebrow and they might not approve and i would be seen as a flight risk although, i have gotten a reference letter from them already which i think its enough not to raise suspicion.
I intend doing the below thus;
1, Get Pension account statement and reference letter.
2, Get a letter of attestation and that they are expecting me to resume after my studies from my dad's friends audit firm.
3, Majority of my family including my parents are here in Nigeria except my sister who is living in Dubai due to the nature of her job (air hostess)
Please what do you guys think, will any point above harm my applications and suggestions on more tips please?
Thanks in advance. Those you listed above are good ties. Do well to explain them and link them well to your application. Just be reasonable and make your app simple and understandable. All the bestest Sir/Ma’ |
