olasubomy: Good morning my egbons and gurus and thanks to everyone for your contribution on this forum, i have gained alot.
Thanks also to those who encouraged me to apply for my study permit myself and not use agents, i have started oo and please expect plenty questions from me.
Please i have the following questions thus;
1, Can i submit a copy of my salary account bank statement to support my application even though i don't have much funds in the account( very little amount in there), the essence of submission is just to show further proof i am in paid employment in receiving salary and for them to see the consistent inflow of salary payment ( My parents are sponsoring my tuition and fees). Will presenting the bank statement hurt my application. I also plan to present payslips for the last 6 months, my tax clearance certificate and print out of my pension statement. Your thoughts please?
2, Can i use my parents land documents agreement and Governors consent on the agreement ( like C of O) to support submission of my mum bank statement for proof of funds.
3, While filling the form IMM1294 ( Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada) The instructions says " to give details of our employment for the past 10 years" There was only section to fill three employments Is there any need to fill another IMM1294 as additional documents to fill the remaining two places i worked and if yes, how do i go about it considering my only + addition is the employment part?
4. I have to open up to you guys, i am looking for scholarship opportunity, at least something that can support as a rebate on my tuition expense in canada so i dont put much pressure on my parents I mailed my school and they replied saying " Unfortunately, there are currently no schorlarships available"
My gurus and egbons in the house, I will await your answers to my four enquiries above.
Have a blessed day ahead. 1- Yes you should submit a copy of your salary account with payslips to show/prove that you’re gainfully employed. It doesn’t matter how much you have in the account tho, It’s just to show that you’re receiving certain amount monthly. Just make sure you submit as much as you can to tighten your application. Your Pension statement can serve as good home ties for you tho. 2- You need to explain with reciepts how the land documents and agreement generates funds for your mom. If it’s been leased/rested out then highlight how much she makes from it from the Statement of account. In general just make the VO understand the situation well and not guess how it’s or how it’s suppose to be. 3- I’m not sure how to answer that but I believe since you already filled in your employment situation for 3 sections then you’re good to go! The gurus will explain more on this hopefully..4- You need to have a quality grade in your previous education level to qualify for a scholarship opportunity in Canada. Most scholarships are very limited and highly competitive, and you need to stand out when it comes to academic performance to stand a chance. If you have quality grades then a simple search for scholarship meant for international student in Canada should do. While applying for scholarships, you need to check the eligibility criteria to understand if you qualify for the scholarship application. All the bestest Sir/Ma' |

Manifoldlove: Appreciations for the helps here and for all the directions towards this cause.
Came in to US last December on F1, Concluded application for SP for Canada on July 19th, did Biometrics here in the US on 29th, medical was waived. Raised a note to inquire why delay in decision on 14th August, AIP dropped on 19th.
I am so trustful that everyone's desire shall come to pass, BE HOPEFUL, KEEP THE FAITH, AND SEEK CLARIFICATION when needed. No one is an island of knowledge. May it end in praise for us all.
I applied for this Fall resumption. Congratulations Sir/Ma’ Which school and program are you going for? |

Mmasinachi88: Good evening everyone. Please I want to know if it’s advisable to apply for a diploma program in Canada for someone who has 6plus years of work experience.
If yes what schools are advisable?
Thank You Yes if you can relate the Diploma program to your 6years work experience. Just make the VO see reasons to why you’re going for the diploma program after your 6yrs experience. What do you stand to gain after the program? Why are you going for the program? Why ain’t you going for a more advanced program? Those are some of the reasons the VO will look for... Schools ? It depends on your course and some other criteria but you can do a quick google search on Seneca, Centennial college, Durham college, George Brown, Conestega College and many more. All the bestest Sir/Ma’ |

Kayice001: good evening house and also to the seniors in the house, i submitted my application August 6 and i've also done my biometrics which have been updated on my profile , i was going through my documents again when i realized i left the space for "UCI" blank, i didn't know what it was and it totally escaped me . is it necessary that i take a webform to address it or could this have any effect on my application , besides that everything looks ok , i appreciate any assistance in advance I’m guessing your didn’t write your UCI while filling your biometrics form huh? I don’t think that’s a problem since it has already been updated on your app. |

It’s also says as long as your study is completed , You can always apply for your PWGP anytime. We really need them to clarify things soon sha. |

olasubomy: Dear All,
Please i need some clarification. Can i use my mums bank statement issued showing period 1 Jan 2020 to 28 July 2020. She is my main Sponsor. My dads is retired and does not have much. Please can i use this statement to apply for study permit by September given the period covered. I think it is still current. Whats your thought? A bank statement must reflect the submission month or most likely a month to the submission month. |

olasubomy: Good morning All,
I trying to start up my study permit application online and making a decision whether to use an agent or do it myself. I am trying to put forward a very good application but being not too grounded with the application processes processes. What are your experiences for those who have gotten study permits and approvals, Did you use an agent? and if yes ? can you recommend an authorized one. Your thoughts? Many have done it by themself. You too can do it. All you just have to do is read this thread from beginning to end. You don't know the gold you have in hand. Just keep sourcing for information by taking time to read as much as you can. If you can’t easily find something then you should ask questions here. |

mayored: Still waiting, gurus in the house. 1- A google search of GCMS note will get you websites of where to get the note. 2- Having your friend as a Co-Sponsor can be a reason for your visa delay provided you didn’t explain better why he’s sponsoring you and what he stands to gain from the sponsorship. You need to make the VO understand why your friend is sponsoring. 3- A friend can sponsor another friend provided he gives genuine and convincing reason why he’s willing to pay for his/her education and what he will gain in return. Realistically and I’m sure not trying to be unkind, the odd for a successful visa application with a friend being a Co-Sponsor is low. |
