Fidelarinze9: When Humphrey Ogbonnaya acquired the land along Panaf Drive, Dutse Alhaji area of Abuja in 2012, he had looked forward to building a house where he could live peacefully with his family.
By the time he built his house, there was only one challenge to the joy he had envisaged.
He could look through the window of his one-storey house and see the Kubwa Expressway which is less than 200 metres distance, but there’s no straight road to the express — He has to drive through adjourning streets, meandering through unmotorable paths for hours before finally linking the express.
Driving home or driving out became the proverbial cross he has to bear daily with the consequent frustration and stress. The shortest route to the express needed a small bridge to allow driving across the nearby canal.
He approached some road contractors and enquired about the cost of creating a bridge that would reduce at least 60 kilometres of the exhausting ride home. Despite communicating this plan to other property owners in the area, no one was willing to support it financially.
Ogbonnaya decided to do it all alone to save himself and his family the daily torment they were going through just to get to work and back.
Speaking to THE WHISTLER, he said, “So, they charged me N2.5 million, and I alone carried the burden of the bridge, and I did not disturb any of the landlords anymore. I had stone on my head, and sand on my body with other labourers.
“By 2013, I was able to put up the bridge and the slab. I also went for caterpillars to grade the road so people can pass and I was charged N500,000 which I also paid.”
The bridge was constructed and everyone had a new lease on life. But as more people began to live in the area and it grew in population, the bridge began to suffer from overuse.
The bridge that was built to take a few vehicles now finds itself accommodating more vehicles including trailers as households in the area multiply to about 5000, all spreading across Dawaki, Dutse and Kubwa.

lhordspy: I can swear the both of you are from the East. It is never so hard to notice you. Very hateful, disgusting set of people. Always talking about other people and their region. Cho-cho-cho up and down ...Carrying the matter on their head. But will never make reference to theirs.
Same way your failure of a Peter Obi, govern Anambra for 8years, but he is now going from media to media using china and dubai as point of reference not the anambra he governed
From your comment, you are equally filled with hate, so what exactly are you criticizing?
casualobserver: He will still be your president, if it is not him it will be Atiku! Know this and know peace!!
There is nothing about Tinubu we don’t already know, more likely it is Obi and his dubious past that will start to unravel. We are already seeing articles about alleged past involvement in drugs, how his father was killed because of drugs and how his brother was banned from the Us because of drugs!
While I do not speak for any of the candidates, but your post is really funny.
Righteousness2: Peace, you say?? Don't you read your bible? This will launch Israel into Calamities and Disaters. The likes Jeremiah and Daniel described as the time of Jacob's trouble.
GOD ALMIGHTY gives a dire warning on Dividing HIS land . See Joel 3:1-2
From yesterday when lapid gave that speech, Earthquakes increased Ferociously. At least 3 happened yesterday. That seems to be a sign from Heaven.
Dividing Israel under any guise, is Poking your hands in God's eyes. That is the red line of God's Wrath. Every Nation or persons that Directly or indirectly joins in the Dividing of Isreal will taste the wrath of GOD.
This Isreali present Pm is a disaster in the making. His moves since he came on board has been moves that will cause Isreal pains before GOD and Man.
The antichrist is lurking around!looking to come out any Moment to confirm the Daniel 70th week Covenant with many, which will launch Israel to disaster. Before GOD HIMSELF will intervene and they Will Believe on JESUS as their Messiah.
The Rapture is Just a Breath away. Whoever values his/ her life needs to be Prepared.
Righteousness2: The Signs of the times are Everywhere. Deception is at all time High.
The foot soldiers and False Prophet of the antichrist are all over the place watering and preparing the path of the government of the antichrist, the New world Order, One world government, One world religion, One world currency.
There is no more time!!! It is time to get serious with God. It is time to cement your relationship with JESUS. The Rapture is Imminent! Be Ready!!
Get a life man, always dishing out this your end time bullshit. Preach Jesus but do it without threatening us with end time.
The Federal Government has claimed that the military had “substantially restored security across the nation”, adding that “the worst is over.”
Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, made the claim at a joint press conference with security agencies on September 5, 2022.
“We are therefore not saying the battle is over. No. What we are saying is that our military and other security agents have been able to contain the daunting security challenges we face and that the worst is indeed over,” he had said.
However, data collated from Beacon Intelligence, a website that keeps tabs on security incidents across the country, tells a different story.
Data collated from the website capturing security incidents between January and August this year showed that at least 8,153 people were killed across the country while no fewer than 4,262 persons were abducted within the period. The casualty figures were recorded after at least 3,463 incidents of terrorists/bandits’ attacks. In addition, 1,722 people were recorded to have sustained various degrees across the country.
However, a month-to-month analysis revealed a decline in fatalities since January. The highest fatalities were recorded in March and August with a 69 per cent and 49.1 per cent increase respectively from the preceding months.
In August, a total of 599 incidents led to the killing of 859 killings and 380 abductions. The data showed a decline of 27 per cent in abduction from July when 525 people were reportedly abducted.
There was, however, an increase in kidnap cases in June which recorded the abduction of 651 persons by terrorists.
This interview with Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Victor Ogbeide, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Utako Police Division, begins a series of interviews THE WHISTLER would be having with police officers who have demonstrated uncommon patriotism and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) approved this website to identify and interview police officers who have excelled at their duties to protect residents of the FCT.
It is our way of celebrating officers who are making sacrifices for the welfare and protection of the people. While some officers of the Force may have given it a bad public image due to shameless disregard for due process and corruption, we are also aware that the Nigeria Police Force has some of the most conscientious, competent and patriotic officers any police force could have.
The situation gets worse in the event of the insecurity ravaging the country, leaving police officers overwhelmed, despite the ostentatious lack facing the system.
CSP Ogbeide has served the NPF in different capacities, at home and abroad. He has strong expertise in Tactical/ Crack/Tracking Operations.

Excerpts:
Why Did You Join the Police? My name is CSP Godfrey Victor Ogbeide. I joined the Police Force as Cadet ASP precisely August 15, 2002. I joined the Force not because I was not working; I was an operational manager in one of the oil firms in Rivers State, Port Harcourt.
I joined the Force because of Passion. You know, God is omniscient and omnipotent. He gives talents and potential to everybody; I feel that I have the flare for security and the comparative advantage in doing that.
Do You Feel Fulfilled As Police Officer, And Are you Happy With Your Profession? Yes, I feel very fulfilled. If I reincarnate, I will wish to join the Police Force because the police are like a Reverend Father or Pastor because you are touching people’s lives. If criminals will go and attack, kill and kidnap somebody, and you can take them off the streets, then you are doing God’s work.
What Are Some Professional Hazards You Have Experienced In Your Line Of Duty? We have so many hazards. Precisely, in Imo State last two years, we were attacked by members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), and one of my boys paid the supreme price. So many times, as a tactical commander, we confront hoodlums one-on-one, and by God’s grace, He has seen me through it because these criminals, if they don’t like you, will want to get rid of you.
So, it’s a field of hazards, and you have to be professional while dealing with them. Most of the hazards, are seen when you are a victim of hoodlums and, as a police officer, your boys can be killed. However, the IGP is trying to see how to assuage that feeling by giving them some funds, employment and other things. But apart from being attacked, there is also the hazard of post-trauma that most policers go through because if you lose a loved one, it is a big trauma.
Is There A Body Responsible For Handling Post Trauma Operation For Officers? What happens in the police force is a microcosm of what happens in the larger society. The question I will ask you is, is there any psychological trauma centre you have in Nigerian society? We don’t. So, you have to rely on an improvised way of rationing ourselves through churches and mosques.
What Are the Dangers You Have Encountered Leading The Police Team In Utako?
anonimi: Anyone who thinks that Pandora failure Obi is different from the looters who have ruined this country since 1960 should have a serious self-examination of his thought process.
GOTVee: Even though I'm a born again Christian, I think we Christians should be ashamed of ourselves for heating up the polity unnecessarily. We Christians and Muslims should understand that Nigeria do not revolve around our both faiths. We have traditionalist and nonbelievers who have been politically marginalized all this years without been given any sort of consideration. There is nothing bad in having a Muslim/Muslim ticket if we truly care about the development of our country. We have had a Christian VP In Osinbajo for almost 8 years, how has it helped we Christians?
Let's stop condemning our Muslim brothers and sisters for political gains. We Christians and Muslims are one. I urge everyone one of us to support the Muslim/Muslim ticket for the prosperity of our nation. We Christians should learn from the tolerance of our Muslim brothers so we can have a peaceful nation
Superwave16320: Post something bigger than this I will still vote Bola Tinubu n I am a Christian.
Your Igbo father should do another banner that any Nigerian voting another Fulani Atiku is a bastard n lunatic after another Fulani Buhari spent 8 years ruling the country.
?
Can't you see you are truly out of touch with reality
FreeStuffsNG: This was exactly how they killed Twitter with their bigotry and hatred for Asiwaju Tinubu ( and President Buhari) because he is not from their tribe and religion.
These minority hate him so much and have hated him since 2015 as he keeps defeating them and their sponsors. So they will go to all evil extent including bringing down the labour of others just to blame him for being better than those less competent candidates they support. Yet they will still lose.
The website obviously does not own the documents it purportedly uploads. It must have been catfished. They are going down.
They are welcome to ipob terrorists and their co-conspirator's brand of badluck. They have not even started their lamentation yet.
The website owners will watch their descent into badluck after badluck in the same way these same set of losers afflicted Twitter with badluck upon badluck.
Before their very own eyes, they will see how everything they have built will be wrecked with badluck. They do not know how to build o but they know how to destroy the platforms others have built.
To my fellow patriotic Nigerians, please ignore the naysayers, bigots and hate-filled terrorists losers and their sympathizers and vote for Asiwaju Tinubu.
Asiwaju Tinubu is the most capable and the most competent among all the Presidential candidates. Vote for Asiwaju Tinubu.
All the enemies of Nigeria and all the enemies of Asiwaju Tinubu will lose las las. They always lose. May God bless Nigeria for ever.
Why do I want you to vote for Asiwaju Tinubu?
Please vote for Asiwaju-Shettima if you want the best and most competent pair to take Nigeria to greater heights.
Asiwaju Tinubu deserves your vote because he is the best among them.
Asiwaju Tinubu towers over all of them in terms of competency and illustrous records of feats in public service Please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu.
Asiwaju Tinubu is extremely competent and capable to lead Nigeria to greater heights. He is an excellent experienced public administrator and a Patriot to the core.
Asiwaju Tinubu is a brilliant visionary leader who will keep his promise to take Nigeria to greater heights.
I may need to take you down memory lane of his account of stewardship in public office in case you do not know or trying to ignore the significance of Asiwaju's sterling performance in office as a reason he is being rewarded with support today.
As the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Tinubu recovered what is now called Eko Atlantic from the raging Atlantic ocean Lagos Bar beach coast line flooding (for decades that problem even some of the more developed nations explain away as climate change problems) defied all solutions by FG and the highbrow strategic Victoria Island was deteriorating fast with businesses, embassies, hotels etc exiting VI in droves. During that time, the Atlantic ocean flooding reach the fringes of Ozumba after the flood completely take over Adetokunbo Ademola. Lagos State Government under the brilliant , resourceful and hardworking Asiwaju Tinubu solved that herculean challenge and today, VI is back to its glory.
It was Asiwaju Tinubu that brought back the Lagos Central Business District and Broad street commercial nerve centre of Nigeria back to life after it was abandoned, it's Asiwaju Tinubu who built major roads from Oregun to Lawanson to Igando LASU to as far as Badagry etc.
Asiwaju Tinubu is the one who fixed the horrible waste problem we had in Lagos and that LASTMA and BRT you see were created by Asiwaju. Asiwaju Tinubu was the one who got Lagos State to be part of the owners of Econet and unlike Delta State where the shares were sold and funds pocketed, Lagos State Shares were warehoused with professional investors in the state investment agency called Ibile holdings.
Asiwaju Tinubu increased bursaries to students of Lagos State origin (NULASS) and made public schools free for all Lagosians regardless of your tribe, religion or political party affiliation after his administration had successfully returned missionary schools to their original owners( other states later copied Lagos) . It was during his tenure that Ikeja General Hospital became a teaching Hospital, upgraded most of the clinics to General Hospitals giving free health to the 5 years and below and Lagosians of 65 years and above age group. .
The fund that BRF used to quickly build infrastructures were the LGA funds withheld by Pa Obasanjo and despite that Asiwaju Tinubu never owed salaries. When the purchase of FG refineries by Alhaji Dangote was cancelled by HE Yardua, Alhaji Aliko Dangote ran to Asiwaju Tinubu after most state governments and governors in the SS gave Dangote a cold shoulder. Today, through the assistance Asiwaju Tinubu gave Aliko Dangote, Dangote Refinery is taking off to help us stop the petrol subsidy killing our naira and public finances.
Asiwaju Tinubu is loyal to those who paid the ultimate price for our democracy and today heroes like Bagauda Kalto, Pa Alfred Rewane, Pa Abraham Adesanya etc are immortalized in Lagos . One of the most memorable achievements of Asiwaju Tinubu for me was helping to stop the blood letting and recurring Hausa-Yoruba/OPC war in Idi Araba and Agege. Those hellish period of unrest defied even the effort of past military state administrators of Lagos but Asiwaju Tinubu was able to solve it.
That Lagos State Government civil service is regarded as the best in Nigeria is due to the hardwork Asiwaju Tinubu did to reform it, created Tutors-Generals offices, improved harmonized pay structure, best pension scheme for civil servants etc. I can go on and on to educate you on the legacies of Asiwaju Tinubu still standing till today as my reasons for my confidence in Asiwaju Tinubu sir/ma
That's why my appeal goes to you my fellow patriotic Nigerians to please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu. Please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu. -Sunkanmi Vaughan Meanwhile, if you want free business ideas and directory of money sources, please check my signature. Cheers.
You have every right to support your candidate, but do you have to insult others to drive down your point? You are criticizing people through the same offence you accuse them of.
