R.I.P bro, remember the first time you came visiting us at 426 Air Base Squadron,Stavanger, You spoke to young group of officers outside d shores of their fatherland and you gave us reasons why we shouldn't loose hope on our homeland. We all exchanged contact and you kept in touch. People of your kind are very rare to come by, not knowing we will be loosing you so soon. Can't just imagine what would be going through your mind when it was obvious that the plane was crashing..guess he will still be encouraging some other people on board.........your words to us will always be in our mind...

I was really in tears in my office going through this thread guys, but I must confess that this thread has once again reassured me of the future of Nigeria. Really appreciate everyone involve in this and the almighty God/Allah/Eledumare will continue to provide for all your needs. And for fineboy you are destined to be great that is why you are going through this, but one day you will be in a position to help please never hesitate. And to Nigerian in Diaspora always be ready to help in genuine cases like this 50-60 USD isn't much for us,I believe by so doing we are making Nigeria a safer place to go with friends & colleagues for vacation/summer without nursing any fear.
EducationRe: Most Nigerian Students In Ghanaian Universities Are Serial JAMB Failures by fiditi(m): 2:03pm On Nov 04, 2013
Very interesting topic indeed. I rep. Regional Maritime University,Ghana my great Alma mater. Being a Nigerian who was oppurtuned to have a very good and quality secondary education in Nigeria, to an extent I agree with what the OP said about most Nigerian student studying at bedroom uni.all over Gh cos they couldn't made it in Jamb. However, we should give it to the following schools in Gh: University of Cape Coast, RMU, Uni. of Mines and Technology, KNUST Kumasi, UG, Central and Ashesi can atleast be compare in terms of quality to what is obtainable in Nigeria, Anything outside of these few have mentioned, you are on your own in Ghana and I don't see any reason why you should be wasting your parent Naira. And you know what all over Africa Nigerian no dey carry last for brain oh in terms of book which is one of the main reasons why Ghanaian feel insecure in the department back then at RMU but who cares, we no dey look their uche face, we just go there dey collect all their prizes. I can remember it got to a stage while I was at 300l the prize donors started donating the prizes for overall Ghanaian best student in each department and Making student of other nationalities unqualified. But thanks to the then Nigeria Ambassador to Ghana for the initiative he took by still donating prizes without any restriction to any nationality.Ghana is a good place to be for nigerian student if you are lucky to be in any of the above UNI. And Ghanaian your hate make us stronger and your ladies are ready to die for an average Nigerian guy just like their S/A counterparts.
TravelRe: Top 10 Countries In The World To Migrate To by fiditi(m): 5:44am On Oct 06, 2013
protocol: no body is saying anything about QATAR here even with their tax free income? hmmmm
Yeah Bro, Forget Qatar you can have all the money but the quality of life isn't there and for an average Nigerian it is not all about tax free income but the visa free status you get when holding certain countries passport. Even people in Qatar dey tear from the country after 2-3 years...even when we know we are not going to get up to the salary we have here in Qatar. But one good thing is the Job opportunities that abounds at-least we are able to practice what we were taught and add more values to our professional profile through internationally accredited and recognized professional qualifications.
But, bro there are more to migrating other than tax free income.

rhymzTrust the Americans, love or hate them, they don't take to threats lightly wether percieved or imaginrd they too have already moved two navy missile- defence ships close to the Korean peninsular to monitor any NK launching of missile and to intercept the missiles if they threaten any of their bases or allies in the region. All NK allies can do is watch and give word of support and sometimes mediocre Russian military weapons, they wont dare comfront the American military on behalf of NK, they know better than to try such. Russia does not even have the economy to fight any serious full scale war with the US, ANYWAY ENOUGH OF THE LECTURES, LET NK DARE THEIR GUTS FIRST.

rhymz, I can't just stop wondering what my bro/sis on NL are taking state military might for, come to WEST POINT my great Alma Mata and see for yourself how many officers are been sent in for training from RUSSIA/CHINA…..I KEEP LAUGHING AT KIM IN MY NATIVE LANGUAGE YORUBA.wish i can speak and laugh in pigin english too.
Foreign AffairsRe: North Korea To Launch MISSILE Today!! by fiditi(m):
I am that man.
My Trident is a symbol of honor and heritage. Bestowed upon me by the heroes that have gone before, it embodies the trust of those I have sworn to protect. By wearing the Trident I accept the responsibility of my chosen profession and way of life. It is a privilege that I must earn every day.
My loyalty to Country and Team is beyond reproach. I humbly serve as a guardian to my fellow Americans always ready to defend those who are unable to defend themselves. I do not advertise the nature of my work, nor seek recognition for my actions. I voluntarily accept the inherent hazards of my profession, placing the welfare and security of others before my own.
I serve with honor on and off the battlefield. The ability to control my emotions and my actions, regardless of circumstance, sets me apart from other men. Uncompromising integrity is my standard. My character and honor are steadfast. My word is my bond.
We expect to lead and be led. In the absence of orders I will take charge, lead my teammates and accomplish the mission. I lead by example in all situations.
I will never quit. I persevere and thrive on adversity. My Nation expects me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than my enemies. If knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my teammates and to accomplish our mission. I am never out of the fight.
We demand discipline. We expect innovation. The lives of my teammates and the success of our mission depend on me – my technical skill, tactical proficiency, and attention to detail. My training is never complete.
We train for war and fight to win. I stand ready to bring the full spectrum of combat power to bear in order to achieve my mission and the goals established by my country. The execution of my duties will be swift and violent when required yet guided by the very principles that I serve to defend.
Tradition. Brave men have fought and died building the proud tradition and feared reputation that I am bound to uphold. In the worst of conditions, the legacy of my teammates steadies my resolve and silently guides my every deed. I will not fail.”

Nairaland GeneralRe: Suggest Ways One Can Leave Cultism Without Being Hurt by fiditi(m): 2:28pm On Mar 07, 2013
What is SECRET CULT & WHO IS A CULTIST?
The constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria of 1979, section 35(4) defined a secret CULT/SOCIETY as "... a society or association, not being solely cultural or religious body, that uses secret signs, oats, rites or symbols.

(a) Whose meeting or activities are held in secret; and

(b) Whose members are under oath, obligation or other threat to promote the interest of its members or to aid one another under circumstances without regard to MERIT,FAIR-PLAY or JUSTICE".
Secret cults can therefore be regarded as organizations whose activities are held secretly and are characterized by rituals. The secret organisations hold their meetings at night and at secluded places where they cannot be easily noticed and recognized. I KNOW THERE ARE DIFFERENT REASONS WHY PEOPLE BELONG TO VARIOUS CULTS, BUT JUST ASK YOURSELF DOES JOINING THIS GROUPS REALLY WORTH IT.....YOU PEOPLE ARE JUST SOCIAL NUISANCE AND YOU ARE DEPRIVING YOURSELF ALL FREEDOM WHILE YOU CLAIM TO BE FREE OR BIGGER BOYS WHERE AS YOU ARE SMALL GUYS WHO ONLY DEPEND ON OTHER MEMBERS BEFORE YOU CAN FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT...ONE QUESTION I KEEP ASKING ANY CULTIST IS WHY NOT STAND TO FIGHT ON YOUR OWN BUT HAVE REALLY DISCOVERED THEY ARE ALL BUNCH OF COWARDS LOOKING FOR BRAVENESS/SECURITY IN THE WRONG PLACE...HOW I WISH ANY OF THEM CROSS MY PATH WHILE I WAS IN MY GREAT FATHERLAND BUT NONE EVER DARE IT...
MY ADVICE FOR ANYONE IS NEVER JOIN THE CULT SINCE YOU CAN BE BOLD OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP OPENLY & FOR THOSE WHO ARE ALREADY INTO IT I WISH YOU ALL THE STUFFS IT CAN BRING YOUR WAY, ALSO REMEMBER TO ADVICE YOUR CHILDREN TO BELONG WHEN THEY GET TO UNI. cheesy

Lord give me the grace to always bridle my tongue. GOD HELP MY FELLOW NIGERIAN YOUTH ALL OVER THE WORLD TO SPEAKLESS ABOUT THINGS WE DON'T REALLY KNOW MUCH ABOUT...BECAUSE THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING ESPECIALLY THIS GENERATION OF OURS IS GREATLY ALARMING IN TERMS OF RELIGION, BUT ALL RELIGION PREACHES THE EXISTENCE OF ONE SUPREME/ALMIGHTY GOD WHO SHARES HIS/HER GLORY WITH NO ONE AND THIS SAME ALMIGHTY GOD HAS A WAY OF DOING CERTAIN THINGS BEYOND HUMAN COMPREHENSION & AND SEES EVERYTHING....SO LET US LEARN TO RESPECT EACH OTHERS BELIEF. AND LET US FOCUS ON THE GOOD ELEMENTS OF EVERY RELIGION AND ALL THE FOLLOWERS OF EVERY SECTION OF ANY RELIGION CAN'T BE FOOLED....LEARN TO RESPECT OTHERS.

RomanceRe: Are Material Things The Basics In A Relationship? by fiditi(m): 7:38pm On Sep 07, 2011
Not all ladies want material things. its just that what we want are different. I have been standing by my guy through tough and thin and still hope to continue till everything is alright. The funniest part is recently i was accused of still talking wt him as my parents belief I have left him. but they made a statement that no one dey manage Olorunsogo but Jokotola (sit down with wealth). Life is a two side coin and we re on different sides. I still belief in my guy and his future, and i am ready to continue standing by him. I love him so so so much.
