Ikenna351: - If they can't find any leak gas leak on A/C components and lines in the engine bay, they should pull down the dashborad and check the A/C evaporator for leakage. It's under the dashboard.

- No comment on the Fuel Pump.

- Of course, what what done on the caty is not ok. But if your injection system has Euro III emission control system, then your ECU won't report the wrong done on the caty, but you will be polluting the environment, so they said .

- To know the recommended or factory tyre size, post your VIN here. Will get back to you with it.

- No comment on re-spray.

- For English translation of your 306 owners manual, find a link to it on page 7 of this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/1003701/peugeot-thread-psa-community/7

Hello house, my 306 (Restyling) auto,Xu10 engine has some issues that needs attention:

-the a/c doesn't cool, only fans work. I have re-gassed several times only for it to stop cooling after some weeks or months.
-the fuel pump presently fixed on is not the recommended. I had a cheaper one fixed by my mechanic after several failures and replacements. Though there is no visible negative effect yet but I still want to have the recommended. Please where can I get authentic one in Lagos?
-the cat converter got ''burnt'' and my mechanic replaced it with some improvised ''gauze''. No visible effect yet. Is this ok?
-How do I determine the recommended tire sizes? It came with different sizes : 185/65/14 (back wheels) & 175/70/14 ( front wheels)
-I want to re-spray the entire body. where do you recommend I do this in Lagos. What is the best spray method available.
-the manual is in French language. How can I get the English version?
Thanks in advance, Guys!

Jarus: I started mine when I was earning 163k per month...and I'm not even one of the most financially disciplined person you can think of.
good to know. Pls advise me on how to achieve this. My friend suggested moulding blocks and storing, buying bags of cement etc. He opined that storing such visible materials encourages and motivates the individual as stored cash can be diverted to other things when pressure mounts.
What approach do you advise low income earners aside saving cash?

Prof.UBA:
@Filcast, I agree that an engineer should have good communication included in his work paraphenalia, but this does not call for too much impeccability in English grammar usage as found among linguists. In fact, while on the job, engineers are advised to employ engineering terms rendered in phrases, as such a profession demands a high level of technical know-how and less speech--except during training sessions and the likes. Besides, in some locations, engineers are advised to communicate in their shared native language as certain actions/activities are better expressed and aptly captured by our indigenous language.
Even sometimes, people speak better than they write.

Are you with me?

Your own 'grammer' and 'where' were wrongly written...grammar... were. Whereas there is no such word as 'grammer' in the English Lexicon, 'where' is an adverb of place wrongly placed in the position of 'were' which is a plural past tense verb.

guy am sorry if this offends u but ur grammer is something else. It breaks my heart reading ur posts here-please do something about it. Is this the caliber of engineers that were recruited. Definitely, something is wrong with Nigeria. I doubt your claim of 8 yrs experience since you cant differentiate distribution and transmission voltage levels.

Bludeville: She is fine. but ciproflox is not for yeast infection. and if she was treating something else with the ciproflox, she should have completed the dose for the ciproflox by switching to another antibiotic considered safe in pregnancy.
Thanks for the response. She did not continue the treatment because we think she did not have any infection in the first place. They relied on her complain of stomach pains and minor itching which could have been the onset of conception. The test result showed no growth and the symptoms long gone, so I wonder why the prescription .

PoliticsSeverance Package : Fg Begins Payment Of Phcn Staff by filcast(op): 7:59am On Aug 08, 2013
The Federal Government has commenced the payment of the severance packages of employees of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria in preparation for the conclusion of the privatisation of the power sector.

Our correspondent gathered on Tuesday that the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation had commenced paying off some workers of the power firm.

It was also learnt that some workers of the power generating companies, which were carved out of the PHCN, had received alerts from their banks that their entitlements had been paid.

The payment, our correspondent gathered, would be done in batches.

When contacted, the General Secretary, Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies, Mr. Abiodun Ogunsegha, said although the Federal Government had not officially told the union leaders that it had commenced payment, some employees in the sector had started receiving bank alerts.

According to him, the government is supposed to brief officials of the unions once it commences payment, stressing that the technical committee set up by the workers and the government has not officially announced the commencement of payment.

Ogunsegha said, “Workers in some PHCN outfits have said that they have started receiving alerts, but I cannot confirm that for now. This is because we have yet to meet with the Ministry of Power on this issue.

“The technical committee set up to look into the issue of payment has not been briefed by the government on whether it (government) has started making payment. So, I cannot categorically tell you that payment has started and the amount that has been paid despite claims by some workers that they have started receiving bank alerts.”

The Federal Government said the workers of the PHCN would start receiving the pay cheques for their severance benefits from last week.

The Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, said this at a power sector development forum organised by his ministry in conjunction with a German power firm, Siemens, in Abuja.

“There has been a directive for the payment of the PHCN workers, which may commence this week,” he had said.

Nebo had also said that a proper audit of the payment processes, which delayed the final disbursement of funds to the workers, had been concluded.

Car TalkCourt Affidavit Required For New Vehicle Papers? by filcast(op): 7:25pm On Jul 31, 2013
Dear Nairalanders,
I went to obtain the new vehicle number plate but because I couldn't provide the original receipts and Proof of ownership of the old plates, i was asked to get an Affidavit and Police Extract.

Please I need clarification on this. Does clear photocopies of these documents not suffice? Am I being unnecessarily stressed?

I was also told to go to Abuja to renew the papers since the vehicle carries Abuja number. Is this right?Must I obtain these documents at Abuja office?

Thank you all in advance.
