phantom: is she the Army's surgeon general or the nations surgeon general in charge of public health?Completely wrong! She is surgeon general of the 'US army'! There's one for the Air force and navy respectively! please read! |
Samgreguc: Pharmacology isn't Pharmacy. Law doesn't give him good knowledge of Pharmacy. Are you Basket Mouth? Your jokes are as good as he's! Amazingly awesome! |
0lumide: And the tactics GEJ want is to turn the entire Nigeria against the north so everyone will request a break up..You are right about the fact that the problem of Nigeria is not the north, yea, but saying or implying that BH is GEJ's instrument is just outright ... We all know BH didn't start in GEJ's tenure, it all started years ago before he came into office. Ok, I what you're thinking, he anticipated the events to come and then started all the MEND, BH already years ago, right? ...Pathetic. I believe in deep thinking and not hasty-convenient conclusions! If GEJ is sponsoring BH here, then Somalians should look no further for the sponsor of their own disturbances, same pattern(of matchet-cutting and little attacks) has already started in China too, did you notice? Kenyan government, Afghans stop searching for solutions! GEJ is the sponsor of all uprising in the world! Indict him quickly! Cos all happening in his tenure! And if the idea above doesn't make any sense to you, then stop your little campaign and do some thinking first. America predicted a break-up 2015, and this year 2014 we are the biggest economy in Africa, but my very "smart" Nigerians don't point fingers at America or at least interview them to inquire the reason for that prediction. They all sit back at home and conveniently accuse GEJ etc. I love the northern people for so many personal reasons but I think they can also solve the problem by looking within, some of the locals have already started doing that by forming vigilante groups and joining forces with the security agencies to flush out the bastards! |
valicious1: dis man nogo kill us 4 dis stateOga, those blocks are not going to bearing/carrying any load, the reinforcement inside will. Please contact an engineer to explain that to you. Although I think your aim was just to bash Rochas. So just continue, I don't like the dude anyway. |
Abagworo: . The roundabout is part of the design. I think it was 1st created as a palliative to ease traffic while the construction is ongoing. You can see the roundabout at this one in Lagos.Thank you for trying to explain it to them. You know its only here you see a business administrator coming to criticize the work of an engineer that he was not trained for. Its crazy! Most people think the project was 'Ohakim's' and now 'Rochas' is doing it. Moving around with zero facts and loving it! |
lakpalakpa: How come you people aren't complaining about T.A. Orji and Martins Elechi??People have lost hope in T. A. and the Abia matter so he is rarely talked about. As for Elechi, I'll choose a thousand Abakiliki road to the roads in my dear Imo. Enugu is on another level compared to Imo roads so no comparison at all. Please separate facts from politics, political parties and emotions. |
frainc: POOR organization and not “lack of talent” has been identified as the reason behind the failure of Nigeria’s Super Eagles to progress beyond the round of 16 at the 2014 Fifa World Cup finals in Brazil. We have the talents, yea, but we need to be more organized especially at the back and mid-field. But I think Arsene Wenger should be more concerned with 'organizing' his arsenal team that keeps fluctuating from top of the Epl table at the beginning of every season to fourth position by the end of the season. |
harlyon: according to the latest infrastructure, good roads, cleanliness and planing...Nice list too. I've not been to Kano or Kaduna so I can't talk about them but I've been to and spent quality time(s) in all the other cities so I'll just close my eyes to Kano and Kaduna and your list still makes a whole lot of sense! |
Emelcee: I feel bad when i discover that some Nigerians still reason backward 1912, how can an educated person say that Uyo is under developed? I have been to 28 state capitals in Nigeria and i personally will rank it thus: according to the latest infrastructure, good roads, cleanliness and planing...I like your list, its almost the best, Compared to most peoples' here, I think you have a good understanding of the term 'developed', especially when talking about a city or cities. The planning of the town(which is the development in itself) comes first cos that is where functionality is resolved and the infrastructure, aesthetics etc. If I should adjust your list, I'll make Calabar 3rd, if not 2nd. Cos the aesthetics and functionality of Calabar is unequaled. I'll bring in Enugu in place of Owerri (I'm actually from Imo state so no beef intended) cos the road networks and every other factor you can think of is better in Enugu. Uyo is supposed to be above PH too. |
MrT2011: Tell that boy you have a son older than him.Lol...The kids won't let grown folks have a reasonable conversation without getting involved. |
iwonbaoko: Age?I'm sorry son, but I didn't mean to hurt your feeling. You quoted me, I told you I don't converse at that level(I didn't even define your level but I guess you took another look at your statement and judged yourself), so you decided to curse. I forgave you and I forgive you still. Why are you still talking to me? Of course your not my kids, my kids respect older people. Go and sin no more, kid. |
iwonbaoko: That is the way I see it;"Ojukwu was foolishand wasted his peoples' lives foolishly" if you don't agree I respect that but calling me son or kid is a step too far. I don't think I directed any personal remarks at you. It is your father who is the kid not me so when you see him call him "kid"Son, since I started raising kids, I've learnt to identify them by sight, words or actions, and to forgive them and direct them so they can become better people. So I forgive you, kid. My father is long gone, I buried him so many years ago. He passed on after I graduated from the university. Get it? How old are you by the way? |
Missy89: Africans are obsessed with their tribes as if it matters. Comparing themselves to the Germans, French etc really? In the post I read, the author did not compare, but likened the tribes to Germany and France. I'm sure you can tell the difference. |
iwonbaoko: In other words he was foolish and wasted the lives of his people foolishlySon, take it outside, go and have that level of conversation with your fellow kids. Thank you. |
Ela59: you said it all. From my own perspectives, Ojukwu underestimate the power of number and experience. He was a freedom fighter but fought wrongly. I like him than any other leaders.Truth! He threw caution away and acted on impulse. |
Xion: I am yoruba, and I live in SE Nigeria, I think you should read wider with an open and unbiased mind on the Aburi Accord (before, during, and after).I am Igbo but I must say that you have a sound mind. That said, history is always biased. Because people(humans) write history. So emotions come in. All our so called "past heroes" were only pursuing their personal interests. Apart from "maybe" Ojukwu, who had a large heart(but only large enough to love the Igbos) - considering the fact that he came from wealth but decided to serve - the rest never thought of anyone else but themselves. I still fault Ojukwu though for leading my people to that war, considering the fact that he had accurate knowledge what equipments/weapons available to both Nigeria and Biafra. |
MidaxPhoenix: The hidden truth is that the igbos felt betrayed by the yorubas, the igbos have always seen the yorubas as the brothers across the niger but the civil war changed the course of thinking. You have a sound mind sire. |
ISpiksDaTroof: What is a "Pissant"?I advice you use a dictionary whenever you come across a 'new' word, you just might learn other new words. |
lanrefront1: This isn't funny.Mistake? That world cup-bite is the 3rd in his career!!! |
Guk: Who should i blame? Me that paid thousands of naira for a plastic card and undelivered service? If you cant manage and suceed in what you dont have any competitor, then you are a failure. The relative success of the swift obtaining of number plates is largely due to the efficiency of Lagos State govt agency that produces the number plates for FRSC as they see it not only as a service but as a business.I'm saying this cos I also paid for the both the new plate number and license but I think our legislators stepped in to suspend the process so we really can't say it was a failed project |
Yoritshekiri: The fool always puts on high resolution glasses when criticising other eastern governors but when it comes to Peter Obi, he shuts his eyes. Its no longer news that Igbo people like to travel and sometimes settle in other regions all over the world. Its just part of us. I remember vividly when I was trying to decide which secondary school to attend, I had a chat with my parents, they were both surprised at the schools I was mentioning; Kings college lagos, St. Patricks college calabar etc. I had never visited lagos at that time! Igbos love to travel! I did go through St. Patricks college calabar. I left calabar after Jss 3. But as a man, I relocated to calabar and worked there for a while, got married there, had my first child there. I don't live there anymore but I love Calabar still! |
Tobbie9: no compare naija with Europe or Us, the richest of our musician/celebrities can't have more than $8million no thanks to piracy by d way.You really think so? Even Don Jazzy? The richest musician in africa? |
Guk: Honestly, am aghast at the standard of measurement in Nigeria these days. A man who oversaw a FAILED drivers' license exercise for which FRSC has total monopoly is bn described as "did well??" SMHDid you really follow the so called "failed drivers license" story? If you did, can anyone blame it on the FRSC boss? |
aguiyid2nd: You want to link a dead man with the activities of the living just to show how much threatend you and your likes feel about the man's feat and every thing he stood for. The man 'General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu', was born to a billonaire BUSINESS father, (not political billonaire). He had the best and most comfortable childhood that money can buy, (something that has eluded your ancestral lineage, and will continue to do). He went to Epson college in the Uk, and later went to Oxford, and got his masters from there. He was made a regional Governor at the age of 33, became the head of state of Biafra at 34. He was beloved of the over 80 million Igbos worldwide. He had the best burial ceremony ever conducted in Africa. Your fore-fathers failed in their bid to destroy him, and you stand no chance.I got carried away by that brief but very beautiful biography... but next time don't waste it on the kids here on NL. They won't appreciate it. |
VICTORCIZA: continue displaying your stupidity! Please don't waste your time with some of the kids here. Some of them are really young, terribly naive and with very empty heads. So they come here to say so many things with the little or no information they got from their parents. |
shurlar50: Pogba? Fabregas? Matic? I sha know that they'll also flop at Chelsea just like Mikel ObiMikel Obi flop at Chelsea? Do you watch football at all that guy has won everything with the club so he needs to move on. |
Idrismusty97: It is a confirmed story. All i want is their names. At least they should prosecute them in the glaring eyes of the public. We are the ones suffering from these menace the most, is their names too hard to give out? They've just made arrests, it is normal to first carry out proper investigation before giving out names to the public. We all know how Nigerians reason, if you give out names, Nigerians will tag them terrorists already and not suspects. |
Yask2guy: It is of no news that the security challenges in Abia state has gotten to the extent of being vigilant over the issues concerning scares of bokoharam insurgents due to false acquisition of about 400 traders travelling through the state.I said it sometime ago, northerners might be able to identify the BH bastards at a glance and differentiate between an innocent muslim and a BH bastard but to the easterners, every muslim is a suspect! Please to avoid the storm that's been looming. I advice every Nigerian youth to do something for the first time in their lives!, don't go to other regions in the name of "youth service" until the whole security problem is solved! The people posting you don't care about you! They only care about the moneys allocated for the program!, the plenty contracts(NYSC uniforms etc)! The aim of the program has been long defeated! Stop the damn program! It ain't working!!! |
ISpiksDaTroof: Ok, let me break it down for you so you can understand since it seems too hard for you to grasp:Sorry friend, please point of correction the Ade-whatever guy has been to africa previously, in fact he's been arrested right here in africa along side other suspects who illegally crossed the to... (go read). But I'm not saying that it changes the fact that he's british. |
ISpiksDaTroof: You obviously do not know jack about your country.Well, this is Nairaland where people come to say anything. So yea, you have the right to say whatever you think about any subject. I will not trade words with any one here. Especially you. Cos you obviously know nothing about the matter. I'm sure of a few things: first, I'm sure you've never had any contact with any real millitant or any of the real characters that played a role in the niger delta insurgency, so you believe anything they feed you, the general public. So go own and believe your Henry criminal. |

Plain extortion!!!!
