Events / Timeless Truth For Success In 2022 And Beyond by Filosofa: 3:48pm On Dec 29, 2021
!
Preamble: The year 2022 promises to be the very best so far in our existence on this plane. To this end, as you sojourned through it, keep the following points in mind and work towards it as knowledge is power.
1. THE SPIRITUAL CONTROLS THE PHYSICAL: There is a realm beyond ours where the shot is called. Don't ever be too proud or arrogant to consult that realm nor call on the One who sitteth in the circles of the heavens for help.
2. MIND IS MORE PERVASIVE THAN MATTER: Watch your thoughts and words in the new year. All you will ever achieve or become are contained therein.
3. LET YOUR DREAMS BE BIGGER THAN YOUR FEARS: Dreams still come true just as fear can be false evidence appearing real.
4. CHALLENGES ARE SURMOUNTABLE: They will come as part of existence, but they are not to destroy but make you stronger and wiser.
5. LEVERAGE ON ASSOCIATION: You will gain speed by the kind of association you keep or otherwise. Walk with the wise and those who know the way.
6. MAKE THAT MOVE: Start that programme, make that proposal, start that business, marry that lady, start that building etc. Your entire life's success will be dependent on that very move.
7. MIX FAITH WITH WORK: You believe in the invincible and inaudible, then take a dive of faith into the void. You will be amazed at the results.
8. LEARN MORE ABOUT MONEY: Since money isn't printed in space but on earth, learn where it can be found and maximize the knowledge. You will realize that poverty is a choice.
9. BE UNPREDICTABLE: When they can't predict your next move, then you are ready for success the hard way.
10. BE CHARITABLE: You never lose any reward when you sow love and good works. Touch the lives of the poor, vulnerable and less privileged more in the coming year.
Nothing will stop you from succeeding next year in Jesus name.

Pay very close attention to what I want to say. I guarantee you only two days and you will see results.

1..Start exercising for atleast 30 minutes a day (jogging mostly)
2. Reduce your salt intake
3. Start drinking plenty of water daily
4. Eat apples, avocado pear, spinach and take Nescafé

That is the solution to your problem.

Crime / Association Of Philosophy Professionals Of Nigeria Supports #endsars Protests by Filosofa: 3:24pm On Oct 18, 2020
ASSOCIATION OF PHILOSOPHY PROFESSIONALS OF NIGERIA (APPON)

RC: 144315

National President,

Email: profalloyihuah@gmail.com

18th October, 2020.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,
APPON STANDS WITH THE #ENDSARSNOW #ENDPOLICEBRUTALITY PROTESTS
I write on the mandate of the Congress of the Association of Philosophy Professionals of Nigeria (APPON) to express our support for the current nationwide protests against SARS (Special Anti-Robbery Squad) and Police Brutality in Nigeria. These are not times to be silent; silence can mean complicity!
Our support for the ongoing protests is not only because we think SARS/Police Brutality should end now, but that Nigerians deserve better. As a body of Philosophy Professionals in Nigeria, we are persuaded to note that Police Brutality in Nigeria is but a minuscule of the overall brutality of the State on her citizens. The current wave of protests is perceived by us as an important starting point to addressing the deeper issues of callousness and impunity that have consistently characterized our security architecture. We therefore, call for the immediate end to these deeper and broader levels of brutality.
Let it also be made clear that any form of the use of force against protesters, as is already evident from images on the social media, is completely incongruous with the intentions for the establishment of a government. To send security operatives after innocent and unarmed youths who are protesting, is to suggest that they are breaking the laws of the land. Nowhere in the Nigerian Constitution, which is the grand norm of the land, are peaceful protests criminalised. Thus, we condemn all forms of brutality against the protesters, and note that these forms of government response to crises situations, are what, ipso facto justify the protests.
We salute the resolve of the youths and all who are on the streets. They have demonstrated resilience and candour in the face of unimaginable provocations. We encourage them to continue in the peaceful manner in which they have conducted themselves so far. There should be no violence and no breaking of the law.
The Nigeria Police Force should be reminded that this protest does not undermine them or their services to this country in anyway. In fact, the fruits of these protests will be first to the benefit of the members of the force, and then to all of us as citizens of this country. We admonish the government to understand that the power of the people is more than the people in power, and as such, they should oblige the protesters and make reasonable concessions rather than resorting to the use of intimidation or force.
We also encourage members of our Association to hit the streets in their own very little ways in this struggle. Those who cannot hit the physical streets can make good use of the digital streets (the various social media platforms).
Once again, the protesters are assured of our support and highest regards in this resolve to make Nigeria better for each and every one of us.

Thank you.

listening from both sides of the tables seems correct, cnt pick sides but I jus pray the two parties do the right thing and call a truce on dis matter no matter how long because it would be stupid to hear another ASUU strike again after they call this one off

My thoughts exactly.
After this present strike, there should be no strike again in our public universities.
Education / Re: Defying Hunger: ASUU Must Stay Strong Till The End! by Filosofa: 1:22pm On Oct 17, 2020
Hold the government by the jugular. They want the protests to end by all means. Get them to settle ASUU once and for all so that strike in our public universities will be dead and buried.

Education / Defying Hunger: ASUU Must Stay Strong Till The End! by Filosofa: 1:14pm On Oct 17, 2020
By
Emmanuel I. Archibong, PhD

I heard an admonition sometime ago where it was said: hunger doesn't kill a person. It can only make your head swell and by extension bigger. The bigger then the head, the more intelligent it will be.

Academic staff in Federal Universities and their families have experienced and are still experiencing hunger first hand some for 9months and counting.

All these while, the FG looked away forgetting that ASUU was on strike and her members salaries withheld.

Then suddenly, the #ENDSARS protests started and like a flash, the government remembered to resume negotiation with ASUU. The whole argument about calling off the strike now because of national interests according to the Minister of Labour is balderdash.

Did the government thought about national interests when they subjected academic staff and their families to untold hunger and deprivation as a result of withholding their salaries having rejected the ploy to enrol in IPPIS?

Why has the FG suddenly realised that the protesting folks are supposed to be in NYSC camps and the university campuses? In whose interests was it when the government decided to use hunger as a weapon to force compliance on academic staff to enrol in IPPIS?

As the FG government team is awaiting the resumed talk with the leadership of ASUU on Wednesday the 21st of October, 2020, ASUU must in plain terms reject what the FG have offered outrightly.

We need more than just a paltry sum of 30 and 20 billion naira for EAA and revitalisation. We need more than just the payment of our withheld salaries. We need just more than government accepting UTAS. We need our EAA paid upto date and afterwards, incorporated into our salaries on a monthly basis. We need publication allowances paid monthly into our salaries. We need conference allowances paid monthly into our salaries. We need a renegotiation of our salaries so that we can begin to earn a living wage comparable with academics in other African countries. These are the least demands we need for the strike to be called off so that other issues in the 2009 agreement can be resolved too going forward.

Academics in Federal Universities have gone way beyond hunger and are no longer afraid of its biting effect. The strike must continue until these basic demands are met.

Aluta Continua.

Education / Dr Darty E. Darty Nailed It On ASUU Strike by Filosofa: 8:10am On Oct 10, 2020
Darty Emmanuel,a lecturer at the University of Uyo wrote the following and I agree with him:

MY OPINION ON THE ASUU/FGN ISSUE

Mr President says get on the IPPIS platform or get nothing and for me, Mr President is right. ASUU should restrategize and get her priorities right. They can't be fighting for students, fighting for parents and fighting for themselves at the same time. The IPPIS is intended to check the excesses of Nigerian lecturers who work in 2 to 4 universities. I am a lecturer working in just one university so tell me, why should I be afraid of IPPIS?
FG wants to increase school fees, ASUU will go on strike to fight it. Why not allow them increase the school fees and let students from all over the country protest? The matter would just solve itself given its tendency to escalate into full blown violence. Given the recent happenings in the country, the probability of such protests relapsing into full scale violence is 100% and government would not want that. If you ask me, FG is even more afraid of students than lecturers.

If FG says work in only one university, then let all adjunct, contract and sabbatical lecturers withdraw their services and go to their domiciliary institutions. That way, the unclothedness of the many new universities the FGN has created without adequate lecturers will be exposed. The FG will either hire new hands urgently or the universities will be shut down. That matter too can resolve itself.

ASUU should stop agitating for better hostels for students. Students pay money for these services to the FG and they have a stronger ground to demand for what they paid for, not lecturers. ASUU keeps fighting for what they call "revitalization funds" (I don't know what that means if you ask me). My question is, does ASUU have any active supervision over how such monies are to be expended by Governing councils of universities or Vice chancellors, bursars and other big men in the university management? Will they sit at table when juicy contracts flowing from such funds will be given? The answer is No. So why do you decide to go hungry, your salaries withheld, subjecting your self and dependants to hardship over monies that will be expended without your inputs or any form of supervision whatsoever? Meanwhile those that will receive the alert when this money lands are still receiving their salaries. This whole drama doesn't make sense to me. ASUU should trim it's demands to member's welfare and stop carrying a scary baggage of demands around. It is a trade union for God's sake. Let's put away this hypocritical toga of altruism. Everybody's problem cannot be your problem unless you want to die before your time.

Education / Lecturers Who Didn't Enrol On Ippis Have Been Paid February And March Salaries by Filosofa: 6:21pm On May 08, 2020
There is wild jubilation amongst many lecturers who have started receiving alerts for February and March salary arrears. There are also mixed feelings by some who are worried that they have been forcefully migrated to IPPIS. Let's see what ASUU will say about this new development.

That is just the ASUUs president's personal opinion. Bring the forms and let individual lecturers decide whether they want to continue to live with or without salaries. I have it on good record that so many families of lecturers are starving.

Religion / Re: "How Do You Preach To Someone Who Is Deeply Involved In Occultism And Sorcery?" by Filosofa: 1:24pm On Sep 17, 2017
PROPHETmichael:

You don't preach to an occultic person, you show them the demonstration of the superior power of God.
Acts 13:8-12

8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.

10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

So these are the steps in preaching to occult person

1: Demonstrate the power of God.
2:They will be humbled by it and give their life to Christ.
3: Tell them about your Jesus Christ
4: Lead them officially to Christ through the sinners prayer.
5: Do follow up on them.

Without power, Paul's Christianity could've become a mockery in the presence of Elymas the sorcerer.
True power is connected to fasting, prayer and purity.

This is the best way so far and so good.

tundeayo2020:
I think I am dying, It all started in 2012, I had a terrible dream that night and ever since then, my life has not remained the same.

In 2012 I weighed 71kg but now I'm 48kg and I don't know when this will stop, every day I'm losing weight the more I try to eat the more I lose weight. I used to have really big muscles and thick thighs, I never slim fit my clothes, but now I can count all the bones on my chest, my hands have become so thin, all bones and no fat.

I have to wear long sleeves and trousers to hide my problem from the rest of the world- And its eating me deeply.
I can no longer engage in activities I find pleasurable, such as sports, running, swimming, working out etc. These where activities I could do before for lengthy hours I can barely do them now for three minutes without
getting super tired and all my body will ache for days afterwards.

I've spent all the money I have on treating myself at local clinics but nothing seem to be working.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS EATING MY MUSCLES AND FAT.

And its getting worse, Even though I've never had sex before in my life, yet I've gone for HIV test three times and it's always negative, I've done diabetes test several times and the docs said I'm not diabetic.

EVERY MONTH I KEEP LOSING WEIGHT, LIKE IN MAY I WAS 53KG BUT IN JULY I'M 49KG AND NOW IN AUGUST I'M 48KG.

GUYS I NEED HELP ADVICE OR ANYTHING TO HALT THIS UNINTENTIONAL WEIGHT LOSS.

I mean I eat at least four times a day and barely work hard. cos I'm a full time fiverr worker.

If things should progress at this rate I may end up with less than 30kg by December. And I dont want to die, I'm still in my late twenties.

Mods please push this to front page. Thanks
