Whites15: I'm sorry but I'm not about to engage in a rather unnecessary back and forth. I believe in self respect and respecting others whether I agree with them or not, and whether I'm engaging them in person or virtually. There's some kind of nastiness that's totally uncalled for. Anyhow, to each his own. Pls , is anyone coming to elpaso between 2-6 April ? if yes pls I will appreciate if you kindly contact me thru ochanglo@yahoo.com. thank you. |

beautyx5: @intending Elpaso peeps, please feel free to explore Ramada or other accommodation. Intown was cheap but the service provided could have been better.
The Internet continued to be crappy till I left. When i day crappy, i mean it is like Internet in Nigeria in 2009. So Yea, our current naija Internet is lightyears better than it (you can't stream common YouTube. .... it is that bad.) and security wise, they leave something to be desired. The only plus side is the support you get because there are alot of Mommas.
My dear, this information is just right on time.thank you.
For those at intown, when you have your baby, ask them at the reception if you have a letter from the time you get home because of the SSN. The reception had the funny habit of calling when you have a package or parcel but they won't call when you have a letter and the SSN comes in the form of a letter. It usually arrives in the first week.
Hope this helps someone. Cheers! |

I strongly think. you should apply to abuja because abuja consulate are more professional than lagos. This guys in abuja will go tru your statement of account and other documents and if possible call the hospital you gave appointment with if you claim to.
I wish you Godss favor !! |

mom2015: @kairi,Shawbabe and Chloe, thanks for the response . Abeg I am looking at gradys hospital, gwinett and Northside Atlanta. But with the posts I Av seen on d outrageous bills from gwinett, I Av narrowed my search to gradys and Northside Atlanta if ill be staying in Atlanta. Abeg help with a cost estimate and what ur reviews are for these hospitals ooo. @ finechikala I dey hail ooo, I'm still trying to make up my mind on whr I'll be staying. I'll have to pay for rent if I use el Paso. Abeg help a sis ooo....dis confusion is killing me.
My dear ,the cost of the total bill is not a joke with most of these hospitals especially, if you are on a low budget like me. The dollar exchange rate is not helping matters as well. I think you will be arrivinging elpaso way too early except if have other considerations.
whatever your decisions are pls let me know.
God will help us in making the right choice .
Meanwhile, I'm yet to get a response on d passport photo. Is it normal cos all dis confusion sef dey kill me. Thanks |

Santa2: Got an apartment, intown suites @ six flags, cost $220/ per week. There are cheaper rooms though I think $189/per week and the place is fantastic
N.B :A tip to getting apartment is to get one close to the clinic you would be doing checkup NOT close to the hospital, cos you would only go to the hospital twice, to register and deliver, the rest would be @ the clinic you select.
I agree with you on the tip you shared . Pls what is the name of hospital/clinic you chose for check up ,because am using elpaso as well and I intend staying in intown suites as well in feb .
Pls I wont mind any suggestion you present as regard a place near a clinic for check up(s).
Thank you.
Yes they only take appointment when u are in the US. It is assumed that you are a resident so should be able to walk in to register yourself |

I'll keep it short like that so I do not cross into the suspected marketers list. However you could read up my previous posts on the thread to get a better picture of my journey so far. JUBILEE2000: pls what's the difference between birth centers and a conventional hospital? I will advice you as a pregnant woman who have gone round most birth centres in the state I reside in , I am presently in America. I stand to be corrected ,Birth centres are lovely but the disadvantage is that, should there be a complication during delivery ? you will be taken to the hospital for better attention because birth centres dont have all the life saving equipments an hospital has. So my dear, the choice is yours and I bet you will marvell at the bill you will later receive as a result of the emergency transfer you received. |

damsell: @tvegas shebi e for better if to say na promo ticket self I buy in the first place. Hubby paid heavily for our(Mumsi n I) round trip tickets from lag to Elpaso and he even paid insurance join sef. All in all, it cost us bout 695k for the two tickets which we were told were valid for 3months. I left at 34weeks And because I didn't know how early or late baby wld come as per first time mom tins, I decided to choose a return date that wld give room for any exigencies with the mind that I wld move it forward if the need arose. Forward to last week and I go to the united website to try n reschedule the flight. Got to some point and was given an error mssg and told to contact their customer care line to be able to effect any change. Next tin I called my agent(wakanow) and he got back to me that changing my flight to 28th dec wld cost me bout 560K for mum n I cos the flights on that day were fully booked cos of the holiday season. Asked him to check xmaS day n even new yrs day, Samestory. Next I took myself to the airport in Elpaso to the united office yesterday and lo n behold they told me the same thing, rescheduling will cost me bout 2600$ Plus. All I cld do was buy my baby's ticket for the same date and return home to decide how I go spend the Xmas n new year for Elpaso o. I think it's because it's holiday season that's why. All in all nothing spoil, the moral of the story is that we shd all consider our respective timings properly when making our plans to avoid situations like this cos I'd have reaLly loved to be back home for at least the new year. please how was your experience in elpaso (doctoresparatI) also is it an standard hospital because I dont seem to find or see a hospital building in their website. Please am depending on ur response to make them my choice. Thank you. |

Hi everyone,
I have some Questions to ask if anyone in the house can help me with good answer.
I have been married for seven years now ,my husband relocated to abuja because of his job ,after he left me for a year and I insisted joining him he became mad.I went tohIs place of work and was told he no longer works with them. I told his family members that I have not seen my husband for a year now but we talk on phone always.no help came from his family as regards his disappearance.somehow I believed his family were in support of his whereabouts except me. I prayed for his return and I cry to him to please come back home that I needed him around as a woman but he kept promising to comeback but never came. Somehow I ran into an exfriend one outing led to another then we started having intercourse,it was unbelievable the way I felt !! To cut this story short my husband came back just few days after one of my outings I made luv to my husband and he left me afain after a week without a word. Few weeks later I discovered I was pregnant and was very happy. I told him but he wasn't excited like me . I still kept in contact with my lover and told him I was pregnant he took care of me during and after the pregnancy. I put to bed and it was a boy.few months ago my husband came back like a ghost and demanded to take his son for a DNA test so I agreed but the result came out to be negative for him.
He became mad and called me all sorts of names he filed for divorce in the month of November 2014.
Am pregnant again but for the same guy (father of my first)child. he said he wants to marry me legally and we relocate.
pls house I want to know if its possible to remarry in America when a divorce proceedings is still on ?? the father of my son and my unborn baby is an American citizen .I am presently in America and I have seen his divorce documents and also verified if hes married to a new wife but I found out hes very much single. can I go ahead with the marriage here in America or I should return to Nigeria and finalize the divorce before my marriage in america.
Pls your candid or professional advice will be greatly appreciated. |
