A photo of alleged notorious kidnapper 'Lion' posing with security operatives has been shared online after news of his arrest was reported.
LIB reported earlier that the suspect was traced to Abuja from Bayelsa and was arrested. In the video, he was seen begging for mercy while claiming he has only kidnapped two people.
Twitter user @drpenking who shared a photo of Lion with the security men wrote;
Lion the Kidnapper rolling with law enforcement. Imagine suspecting a criminal like this and calling authorities to “give useful information” about him and the “authorities happen to be his friends. Imagine what would happen to you. Nigeria is a scary place.
A protester set himself on fire while attempting to make a statement against private jets at The Laver Cup, hours before Roger Federer’s final match.
The Laver Cup match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Diego Schwartzman was interrupted today, September 23, as a protester went on the court and set himself on fire.
The man was quickly dragged off the court unharmed and play resumed shortly thereafter.
According to spectators, the man brought a flare onto London’s The 02 Arena and used it to set his arm on fire before security was able to put the fire out.
One staff member took his blazer off and put it over the fire before stomping on it.
The protester was wearing a shirt that said "End UK private jets."
The shirt also contained a web address leading to a site about climate inaction.
"Today, I entered the field because I can no longer take the risk of doing nothing in the face of the climate emergency," the site reads, according to a screen-grab on Twitter.
The 20-year-old protestor, named Kai, is a member of the End UK Private Jets group, which claims that "carbon emissions in 2022 are genocide."
This isn’t the first protest at a high-profile tennis event this year.
The French Open semifinal between Casper Ruud and Marin was suspended when a woman ran onto the Roland Garros court and tied herself to the net with a shirt that read, "we have 1028 days left".

Two politicians, a staffer, and the pilot of a helicopter miraculously survived when their aircraft collided with a power line and crashed to the ground before erupting in flames.
Shocking video captures the moment the silver helicopter carrying Brazilian MP Hercílio Araújo Diniz and David Barroso, the deputy mayor of Governador Valadares, slowly drifts into the power cord.
The video of the collision was recorded by a witness on the ground and onlookers can be heard gasping in horror as the helicopter crashed.
All four on board survived with minor injuries, the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais said. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Fire Department said that the pilot lost control before colliding with the power line on the side of a highway, the US Sun reported.
Power was cut to the municipalities of Sobrália and Fernandes Tourinho following the crash, local reports said.
Former “Riverdale” actor Ryan Grantham has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the first 14 years, after admitting to murdering his mother and also plotting to assassinate Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The 24-year-old actor was handed the sentence more than six months after he pleaded guilty to a second-degree murder charge for the March 2020 killing of his mother, Barbara Waite, 64, whom he shot in the back of the head as she played the piano.
Justice Kathleen Ker of British Columbia Supreme Court in Vancouver who passed the judgement, described the case as tragic, heartbreaking and “life-shattering”.
Prosecutors had recommended in a sentencing hearing earlier this year that Grantham receive a parole ineligibility up to 18 years. The former actor's legal team had suggested 12 years as a fair consequence.
With around 30 credits on his resume, Grantham noticeably played Jeffrey Augustine on the fourth season of the soapy Riverdale in 2019. While appearing briefly, the character had a pivotal role in the Archie comics-based show.
Starting his career back in 2007, Grantham also appeared in the 2010 movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid, as well as stints on Supernatural, 'iZombie' and in 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus'.
It was revealed in court that after the murder of his mother, Grantham took video of the body and confessed to the killing on-camera.
A day later, after carefully arranging the body in a semi-religious scene, Grantham hit the road. With ever changing intent, he at one point was going to try to kill Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, as he also wrote in a journal entered as evidence.
Grantham also considered committing a mass shooting at Vancouver's Simon Fraser University or on the iconic Lions Gate Bridge.
Thankfully, none of that came to pass and Grantham instead went to East Vancouver police station and surrendered. "I killed my mother," he is reported to have bluntly declared to police at the front desk of the station.
During the sentencing, Ker called it a “saving grace” that Grantham had enough attachment to reality and comprehension not to commit an act of mass murder.
She noted that in the months leading up to his mother’s killing, Grantham was in a downward spiral, which saw him smoking weed and watching violent videos on the dark web while being plagued by thoughts of suicide and homicidal ideations.
Ker also said Grantham appeared truly remorseful. In June, he apologized for his actions, saying his mother did not deserve what he did to her.
Khloe Kardashain has shown her son for the first time as she gave fans a look inside the child's birth.
Khloe's son was born months after her ex Tristan Thompson's paternity scandal first surfaced.
Her sister Kim Kardashian was with her at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for the surrogate's delivery on July 28.
Khloé, 38, appeared nervous from the moment Kim, 41, picked her up, noting that she was "not ready" to welcome another child.
Once inside the hospital, Kim documented the surrogate giving birth to the child.
"He looks just like True!" Kim said in the video, referencing Khloé and Tristan's 4-year-old daughter, True Thompson.
In a confessional, Khloé said of the happy moment: "I am so grateful. It's such a beautiful gift that we're able to have."
"Ever since December, it's been this dark cloud looming over me. Every single day, I've been feeling depressed and sad, and now that my son is here, I get to move on, and I get to enjoy. It's almost like I get to close that chapter and be done with this trauma and put it behind me," she continued as a video montage of her and Kim holding the baby flashed across the screen.
"Now I finally get to start the healing process. Now I get to start enjoying my life with two kids in it and figuring this out," she added. "This is gonna be day one, and this is gonna be the start of something positive, and happy and beautiful."
