I begin to wonder what progressive is all about.
Can looters be progressive?
Can people whose rule has become too controversial be said to be progressive? Like that of Bukola Saraki.
I am yet to understand the shout of progressive and the aim of the propaganda if not to win election in 2015 by all means.
Even if Ibori is release next week from jail he would also join APC and be called Progressive.
Interesting episode.
Only time will tell.

I believe it is high time we begun to make meaningful contribution if we really want other News houses to quote Nairaland.
We should avoid tribalistic, partisan and hatred comments going forward.
Let get serious with business here and not trivializing all issues.
God Bless Oluwaseun Osewa!
God Bless all Nairalander’s!
God Bless Nigeria!

Imports: Nigeria dumps Cotechna, SGS, Global Scan

Nigeria Customs Service has taken full control of the processing of all import transactions to Nigeria, following the approval of President Goodluck Jonathan.

According to a statement by Paul C Nwabuikwu, special adviser to the Minister of Finance, the NCS has taken over the responsibility from Cotechna, SGS and Global Scan, whose contracts have expired.

“Accordingly, effective from 1st December 2013, Nigeria Customs Service has taken over full processing of all import transactions to Nigeria in accordance with the amended Import Guidelines of the Destination Inspection Scheme. Pursuant to this, all Scanning Service Providers (Cotecna, SGS and Global Scan) shall cease to approve new Form M, issue Risk Assessment Report (RAR) or perform Scanning operations for goods imported into Nigeria.”, Nwabuikwu said.

The SSPs shall handover all valid Form Ms and existing Valuation Database to the Nigeria Customs Service, he added.

“However, the contract for provision of ICT infrastructural back up for the scheme currently being executed by Webb Fontaine is extended for a period of 18 months to ensure a smooth takeover by NCS.

“As we enter this era, the Federal Ministry of Finance urges stakeholders and all Nigerians to give the Comptroller General of Customs and his team all the support necessary to manage a smooth and successful takeover. While no effort was spared in the build up to this process, we should all bear it in mind that transitions of this magnitude may throw up some implementation challenges. It will require the understanding of all Stakeholders to manage whatever initial challenges that may arise before the process fully stabilises.”

“As part of the take-over plans, Help Desks and Dedicated Hotlines have been provided to enable Stakeholders and the general public channel complaints, observations and suggestions on the process to the Nigeria Customs Service. Help Desks are provided at Customs Headquarters, Abuja and other Commands across the Country. Such feedback can also be channeled directly through the following dedicated numbers: 09 4621597, 09 4621598 and 09 4621599.”

I have said it time without numbers here Tinubu is not a character to be trusted.
ACN now metamorphose into APC is over hype.
In the 8 years rule of Tinubu nothing could be pointed as his achievement in Lagos, let not forget the huge IGR (Internal Generated Revenue) accrued to Lagos State.
Even the elated and over blown Fasola only work in his first time… I regretted voting him for 2nd Term.
I am no fan of any political party thou I have soft spot for ACN but they are full of lies like their big brother PDP.
Now Gbeleyi… when is the internal democracy?
When and where did primary take place to anoint a candidate?
We are patiently waiting for 2015 Insha’Allah & by His Grace things will change, Lagosians and Nigerians are no longer fools.
You sit in your sitting room and single handedly pick a candidate and you call yourself progressive?
Progressive indeed!

Nigeria is permanently on reprocessing, recycling and rotating mode:
Same elements since 1960 independence
Same Military men changing clothes
Same old politicians been recycled
If what IBB said could be proved wrong: “IBB: Younger Generation Can’t Rule Nigeria” (https://www.nairaland.com/432528/ibb-younger-generation-t-rule)
So I am still wondering what Grand Pa Buhari still looking for? (http://www.punchng.com/columnists/punchwise/if-buhari-becomes-president/ )

May be we need to consult these people to stop them if youth are over bought with money to mortgage their futures. (http://dailypost.com.ng/2013/04/18/if-buhari-contests-100-times-he-cannot-rule-this-country-again-association-of-witches-and-wizards-in-nigeria/ )
I know the youth can change the world and soon one day.

I trust you would be cautious next time and listen to yourself before speaking a word.
I hope and believe Nigerians would find a place in their heart to forgive Adams and let restore him back to the position of grace he has fallen from.
Comrade Adams Oshiomole… thank you for heeding the cry of that widow.
Is it possible you set up support program for other widows in Edo State?
Nigerians and the people of Edo will surely thank you in many years to come for the goodwill.
