So instead of supporting the balkanisation of the country (seeing as you don't believe in it anymore). You'd rather sell all its citizens into slavery. To be ruled over, by the most Anti-African nation on earth (USA).
Thank you. When you hear "sell", did you ask in exchange for what?

The answer would be that we become American citizens. Nigeria made the 51st state with a governor.

Because of the Wuhan Virus, many Chinese sports activities were completely cancelled

Last week and this week, we see European sports being postponed or cancelled. Some that are still being played with no fans are receiving heavy criticisms for total cancel.

Yesterday, after an NBA basketball ball star goofed in a pressed conference by joking about the Chinese Virus and jokingly touching many surfaces, he was later said to be diagnosed of the "Wuhan". Because of that NBA is cancelled.

With all these sports being cancelled, Will this be a sort of healing miracle time for those helplessly addicted to sports betting?
HealthThis Chinese Virus Exposes How Much Dysfunctional We Are by Firstnebo(op): 6:33pm On Mar 12, 2020
The world is embroiled in chaos over the Wuhan virus. Not just because of the disease itself but more largely because of the hysteria and Media hype it's generating.

Now, schools, sports, businesses are shutting down or being shut down. Major economic and business powers are shutting or limiting the doors both within and among themselves. With the most recent being USA limiting human movement from some areas of Europe. Major political powerhouses in USA are also questioning their dependence on China for medicines and medical products.

Fortunately, the Chinese Virus is being said to be very less powerful in hot climate. That means the virus is likely not to thrive in major parts of Africa and my own interest Nigeria.

Should this not be the time to colonise the world? If we have been among those manufacturing and exporting essential products like medicines, toilet paper, sport activities, tourist activities, food, internet. What would have been happening now?

Are we prepared to grow at all? If we are not going to tap this unexpected, though unfortunate, opportunity for growth, which ones are we planning to tap?

Are we waiting for the children of the stagnated economic and business powers to get back to work in months ahead so that we can continue helplessly dependent and clingy?

You are a complete retar.d with the reasoning capacity of a mosquito or house fly.

The slave trade and colonisation your ancestors went through is not enough for you. You want to sell your entire nation to the west.

Because you think STUPIDLY, that you have ''failed'' for not turning magically into an advanced nation barely 50 years after independence.

DULLARD, the country you wish to sell yourself to, the USA, has been independent for 400 years.

When she was just 50 years old, she was an utter hellhole of slavery, civil war, inequality, disease and underdevelopment.

If they had your wretched self hate, low self esteem, and inferiority complex, they would have SOLD THEIR NATON to France, or Italy, or Germany, or the UK.

But they persevered, and went through the necessary steps to build their nation, like real men.

UNLIKE YOU. A disgusting, useless, worthless, shameless coward drowning in self hatred and inferiority complex.

The cure for our problems is to remove YOUR TYPE from our midst, so we that we can continue the great task of nation building.
How do you intend to "remove" my type, nation builder?

Is this not why Nairaland should have an #instablock button.

Instead of you to make your point, you decide to riddle it with insults. I wonder if you would be so macho if we were face to face

I am one of the few people in the world who have very little panic. My low panic mode is as a result of realising that human government is not the answer, and that what's happening on the world stage is a clear indication that God's government where Jesus will be the ruler of the whole United earth is imminent.
(Quotations are from American Standard Version of the Bible)

But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto Jehovah. And Jehovah said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee; for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not be king over them. ~ (1 Samuel 8:6,7)

When the nation of Israel wanted human kings to rule over them, and to essentially make the laws, God specifically told them that it meant they were rejecting him.

O Jehovah, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. ~ (Jeremiah 10:23)

Here clarifies that Governing or Government is not in the position or capacity of man (or woman)

For Jehovah is our judge, Jehovah is our lawgiver, Jehovah is our king; he will save us. ~ (Isaiah 33:22)

The three arms of Government are rightfully under God.

The three arms of Government according to this verse:
Judge = "Judiciary"
Lawgiver = "Legislature"
King = "Executive"

Yahweh alone can fix it.

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Father, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. ~ (Luke 11:2)

Jesus taught us to pray for God's government (kingdom). He taught us that only God's Government can work.

Finally,

And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed great voices in heaven, and they said, The kingdom of the world is become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ: and he shall reign for ever and ever. ~ (Revelation 11:15)

Finally, Jesus is the King installed by Yahweh. What's happening on the world stage shows that the time is imminent for Jesus to take over the world affairs. I have no worries.

My low panic mode is as a result of realising that human government is not the answer, and that what's happening on the world stage is a clear indication that God's government where Jesus will be the ruler of the whole United earth is imminent.

That being said, it cannot be overlooked that what is predicted to happen to our already battered economy because of the current oil price war and Chinese CoronaVirus is causing major turbulence to the quality of life for a common Nigerian (I praise those in small villages who eat directly what they cultivated. God's blessings is clearly on them)

What's the point of this writing? The point is that our government is not upto the task, they do not care. The worst still, they do not even have any workable data and predictive numbers of what might occur. They do not know how to, nor care about doing simulations and finding ways to work around the possibilities.

To worsen the situation, the world bodies, international institutions, and governments do not give a damn. All the organised world bodies posing to care for Africa are actually after money, spewing all kinds of propaganda to keep the chaos and turbulence going so that they can keep winning funds.

So what's my proposal? (There's something I would have said here, but I won't to avoid paying to the panic coffers). That being said, the best thing for our government to do at this moment, (since it has been proved beyond doubt that since independence they can't fix electric power, transportation, health, education, security, and jobs. They just can't. In fact in all of the above they have earned less than F9), is to recuse themselves and sell this nation to USA. Not lease o, Sell, total handover.

I did not say sell to China. While China can be one of the best to lift this nation out of decline, they do have a major problem with freedom.

Donald Trump had wanted to buy an island in Europe, let him come and buy Nigeria. More lucrative than Greenland. And more meaningful.

Side note: you may be wondering why I emboldened the word "Chinese" from the phrase "Chinese CoronaVirus". The reason is that there's an ongoing campaign by China sponsored organisations to stop labelling the virus 'China virus' or 'Wuhan virus'. But they were very happy to call it "Lassa fever", "West Nile virus", "Ebola virus". (In fact at a point they would just call it "Ebola!" Imagine this people). Now they don't want it to be recorded in the history books that, like many substandard products, the "Wuhan" is Made in China . Give me a break!

Oluwatunmise529:
Hi people

I live with my aunt who is a pastor's wife. I got there four months ago due to the fact that my dad had some problems then.

But the first day I got to my aunt's place, I got the shock of my life. The house was totally dirty, even the sink in kitchen was removing maggots. She told me to clean and wash everything but being my first time with her. I told her I can't do them. Then she said she would slap me if I don't do her wish. I ended up doing them and since then am being used like a slave.

When I told my dad about everything.. She told my dad I need home training that I can't do anything and my dad told me to stay since he doesn't want it to cause a rift between them.

My aunt am talking about is an elder sister to my late mom but the same father and different mothers. There was a day she told me my grandmother was a witch and she killed one of her children before she died and she uses my witch grandmom to describe me to people in the neighborhood. I always feel ashamed.

She has a daughter who doesn't cook and clean or do anything... I end up doing everything and still it isn't enough, at the end of the day she tells me am lazy... Am always afraid to look when I pass by a mirror because I always look so dirty and haggard. Just yesterday rain fell here and she left some things outside. I ran outside to take those things inside and the next thing she did was rain insults on me because of that..

She has never raised her hands on me but only maltreat me.. I cried myself to sleep..I was always a jovial person before but now am always crying and moody and am beginning to hate her.

I don't laugh at all anymore even at funny things.. I only have hatred for her and her family...I don't want to hate anyone and I want to go back home and be myself again....am planning to run away now but am really scared of the outcome...
Worst is everyone thinks she is a good person because she is a pastor wife....

Am so fed up and always unhappy... Someone pls help me

1) actually you have done the first part. Which is recognise that this is a ruination of life.
So let's go to the second point.

2) Quit everything you are doing right now to cater for yourself. Which obviously include your work. Go to your parents, or any available family member that can feed you for sometime.

You don't have to do mouth revelation to them as the words might be missing from your mouth. Just tell him/her that you have a problem. Then show him many of the Nairaland posts you have made about this problem. Let them read the whole details themselves.

Stop relying on wiping out your guilt by merely posting here when you messed up and feeling guilty. What it only does is relief you of the guilt small. Then when everything gets back to normal, you are going to return to doing it all over.

Some of the most common behavioral characteristics of drug abuse include:

Abrupt changes in mood. As chemical imbalances develop, drug addicts can experience feelings of depression, anxiety, irritability, hostility, and paranoia that seem to come from nowhere.
Decrease in ability to enjoy formerly pleasurable activities. Drugs sap emotional energy, leaving little room for other types of enjoyment or pleasure.
Rationalization and denial. People addicted to drugs erect walls of denial to protect themselves from the truth, and the attempts of loved ones to break through those walls will bring a string of excuses and rationalizations, which the drug abuser will actually believe.
Stronger symptoms of mental illness. In 2016, 43.3 percent of people with drug abuse problems also suffered from some form of mental illness, and the symptoms of mental disorders are likely to intensify when complicated by substance dependence.
Impulsivity. As time passes drug addicts may lose their inhibitions and suffer from impaired judgement, which leads them to make rash and questionable decisions that may seem completely out of character.
Feelings of guilt and shame. People with addictions often feel deeply ashamed because of their inability to stop using drugs, and they also feel guilty about the pain their behavior causes for loved ones.
Hallucinations and delusions. At the extreme edges of addiction, people who abuse drugs repeatedly may begin to lose touch with reality, to the point where immediate medical intervention is required.
In the early stages of a person’s descent into addiction, friends and family members may not understand what is happening. Or, they may have suspicions but still be uncertain.

Either way, they will know something is terribly wrong with their loved one, who may attempt to hide what they’re thinking and feeling but won’t be able to do so completely.
Do you have any advice? What's your purpose for the post?
RomanceRe: He Rough Handled Me On My First Visit To His House!!! HELP by Firstnebo: 7:09pm On Mar 06, 2020
Mimiey:
Hello Nairalanders.

He rough handled me on my first visit to his house, claims to want a serious relationship. Can he really be serious about being serious or he is just a play boy?

So I met this guy about two weeks ago close to my street. He calls but I hardly pick. Eventually, I picked and he asked if he could pick me after work and we hangout. I accepted. He picked me up after work last week Friday. He was quite interesting and funny, he talked freely like he had known me for years but he was really so touchy, I had barely spent 5 minutes in the car and he was already touching my shoulder and even when we were inside the bar, he tried tickling me, at a point, he put his hands close to my waist, I removed it. We both discussed if we had someone we are currently seeing, I am not seeing anyone which is the truth, he said there is an Ex but they just have sex and she has her own relationship. When he was dropping me off, he asked for a close hug, I hugged him and he wanted to pull me closer and kiss. I broke free and got down. He said I am not nice.

Well, we met again on Monday, I took just water intentionally. This time I minded the distance between us. He wanted to see again on Tuesday, I declined. Then at work yesterday, he asked to see after closing. I told him he can come briefly to my work and we can talk a bit in the car and part ways. He said he would like to host me at his house instead, I declined.

Anyway, he came, I got in and he started driving and saying, I will know his house today and besides his phone battery his low. My mood changed immediately and he tried to guilt trip me and said okay should we stop on the road and get a place to charge his phone. I then told him to continue driving to his house. He stopped on the way and got snacks. We got into his house. It was nice and neat.

Then we were watching a movie, he sat down and placed my leg on his, I was cool with this. Then he made moves to kiss and I declined and pulled away. All of a sudden, he started breathing fast, hugged me so tight and kissed me despite I kept pulling away and didn't kiss back. I am weak when it comes to my Bosom, then he got there and gave me the roughest and painful squeezing I have ever experienced. I haven't been with any man in about 7 months now, I am single and It's hard for me to do a little thing as even kissing randomly. So he got me there when he got to my bosom but it took only just few seconds to snap out. He continued panting and begging for me to reciprocate, he is so hard and hasn't felt this way in a while.

I told him I don't want this, he went in frustrated, stamping his feet, I tot he had agreed, only for him to come back naked and saying okay, he has heard no sex and "I don't want to force you", so he asked for a dry hump and wanted me to turn my back. I didn't. He still kept breathing hard, like he wont survive the next minute. Then he started begging for a Mouth Action. I declined and told him I wasn't up for that. I tried pulling, away and getting angry. He became even more aggressive, removed the hands I used to protect my chest and forced his way into my bra. It was a struggle and then back to begging till I made it clear in a thunder voice for him to stop and take me home.

Then he agreed, wore his cloths and kept complaining that I don't know what I have caused and he wont be himself. We left his house and he tried stopping at a Pharmacist and said he needs to get ibuprofen, then he didn't stop again and just continued driving.

This morning, he is apologizing and repeating the things he said when we got to his house that he wants something serious with me and he wants us to start something and want it to work out. He asked to come see me at work today but I declined. With this red flags, is there a possibility that he is truly serious like he said? Or he is just doing the usual lies to get the cookie and go away. He has a nice ride and nice house, I suspect he may have girls around him. My concern isn't all these, I just want to be with a serious man who is in for commitment and not just sex.

He rough handled me on my first visit to his house, can he be sincere about wanting to be serious?

From this argument, what I've gotten from you so far is that...
God isn't Omnipresent
There's no hell
God turns a blind eye on purpose to the cries and pleas of the innocent.
God is not perfect as his creation turned out to be different from what he had intended.
(1) It's true God is not omnipresent. He lives in heaven.

(2) There's no hell. God did not and have not planned to burn people in fire forever because of something they may have committed for mere 70 or 80 years of life.

(3) God has a keen empathy and concern because of the suffering that was brought on us by what Satan, Eve, and Adam did early in human existence.

Because of his compassion, he has proposed a way to end this evil suffering forever. That is called God's government. He will replace human government with his own government.

Why did he wait so long. Well, in Eden, Satan did not challenge God's power to rule. If he had challenged God's power to rule, it would have been quicker to showcase his power.

But Satan challenged two things. Firstly, he challenged THE RIGHT God has to rule over human. He told Eve that they could rule themselves if they have the "knowledge of good and bad". Secondly, he challenged the GOODNESS OF GOD'S RULE (THE RIGHTFULNES OF GOD'S RULE). He implied that God is withholding something from them. So he challenged them to take that thing back from God. He called God a liar.

In order for God to prove all these, time has to pass (If someone said that you are not strong, you could do a quick show to prove you are strong. For example, you could lift a heavy weight in front of everybody. But if he said that you are a liar, to prove that you are truthful, time has to pass, those people he was talking to have to witness you do and say things for a period of time to ascertain you are truthful). Now many centuries has passed, man has ruled himself, experimenting with different form of governing - autocracy, democracy, communism, socialism, capitalism, etc. All to no lasting solution. Now everybody, including Satan, the Angels, the demons, and humans, have finally seen that man cannot rule himself.

Jesus Christ asked us to pray "Our father who is in the heavens, let your government come"!

(4) That there has been a small glitch in the outworking of human race in the course of time is no proof that God is not perfect.

A very good clay potter can have a clay vessel that he is making spoil in his hands, but because he is good, he remakes it, polishes it and makes it shine.

It has been a hectic history for man so far, but soon under God's government, he will polish us, and make us shine, forever. And these few millenniums of suffering-existence for man would be a mere small point in history when we would have lived 20 billion years without suffering, sickness, or death.

1. Is to show us a universe that wasn't designed by intelligent being for comparison. Why? Because this is how we discern design, by comparing it with what is not designed.
The guy said prove to him that the universe came about by chance.

You yourself said show me a proof that the universe came from God.

Then he answered you by stating that from the law of science, nothing complex and orderly ever came about without an intelligent designer.

Then you yourself came up with this quote you made above. Do you think that this quote is in your favour on in this guy's favour?

Let's see. You said that for him to prove that the order seen in nature is a proof of an intelligent first cause, he must show a universe without an intelligent first cause so that we can see if there is order in it or not.

Now answer this question, is the absence of a chaotic Universe not more proof that our own must have someone behind? Because if the theory of evolution asserts that the order is as a result of mere miracle in the early stages, why are there no other Universes that hasn't experienced this miracle?

Now let's take it in another angle. Since we have no other universe to compare our own with, let us now come within our universe to experiment with what we have.

When it comes to order, scientific observation has find that there is nothing of order that does not have something that caused it.

If you go inside a rarely travelled forest and see a tree that has a human face carved in it, your conclusion is that something or someone must be behind that carving.

If you go inside a forest and see many trees that fell here and there, you don't worry, you decide it's wind that blew them down all over.

But if you move a little down the forest and see loads of wood mortars and pestles packed one corner, you immediately conclude that someone in the business of wood mortars and pestles is responsible.

So if we go by the query in your post, the evidence is for an intelligent Creator, and against a mindless evolution.

Attack...You are getting it wrong son.

No one gives a shiit if you are a Christian.

If someone believes there is no God then he has no business in ensuring Christianity is trashed. None
There must be a noticeable reason why the person should have such a business.

If you see a person dependent on you, let's say a wife, husband, or another relation, giving a great amount of their energy (and resources) for their belief in a God who you know doesn't exist, you must be concerned. Won't you?

That's when you would have to prove he doesn't exist.

Ok so according to YOUR own interpretation of the Bible. God is not omnipresent. I would agree with that. As god seems to not not be anywhere at all. It is even more reasonable to say he doesn't exist at all.
You and I both know that something is not everywhere at the same time, does not mean that it doesn't exists. For example, that your bed is inside your room at a particular time, and not in every room of every house in Nigeria does not mean that your bed doesn't exist.

Besides it's glaring that you have a handicapping lack of knowledge of what the Bible actually says. For ever alleging that the Bible said that God is omnipresent is low mark on your knowledge to actually blanket it as a mythological book.

You first have to see what it states before you show your utter lack of ignorance

If you're going to "challenge" Atheists you're going to need something more intelligent than the Bible. Try a dictionary.
Oh sorry, I mistook it for omnipotent.

My basic argument there still stands. That God has unlimited knowledge doesn't mean he causes all things. He created other beings of freewill with their own power. They can use their power either for good or bad.

That I mistook omniscient for omnipotent, is not in anyway an excuse that my beliefs are not factual.

I am the one that made the mistake. Yahweh the God that I am here to prove that he exists is not the one that made that mistake. I am here to prove him not prove myself.
