happytbaby: Lady G is right. Its not CBN policy that account must be opened 6months before. Its Bank specific.
@ Firstymum and the person looking for PTA: FCMB made the policy of account must be 6months like 5yrs ago o, so i doubt she can get there. An overzealous account officer that wants to meet target might tell you that theg will sell to you. Also, the account officer might not know the policy especially in up country branches. Chai.... Their policy didn't apply to me. And those who went there as well. |

MY HUBBY OPENED UNION BANK ACCOUNT AND GOT PTA THE NEXT DAY ( COS of referees). EVEN THOUGH THEY REQUESTED HE OPENED A CURRENT ACCOUNT. HE WAS THERE WITH TWO NAIRALANDERS ONE CAME FROM ABA COS OF PTA AND SHE ALSO OPENED ACCOUNT THAT DAY AND GOT. |

In as much as u speak the truth, I think the irritation should come from the persons involved (that is if they are).
Also you monitor who says what and when? You dont mean it. Lol. lemme explain better.. I'm off for some days.. So I come back to this really addictive thread and I wanna catch up on past posts and bla bla and I'm seeing the same thing over and over again... As I'm reading I'm like it's either these people don't know how to research or dont actually innocently know they can get all these information themselves. I've noticed it's something new. U c a long post quote with pls can u send me the bla bla bla of the dr.? I came online to actually drop transcripts of 3 of my friends from visa to delivery to hospital quotes. And a friends friend was deported. I cldnt even type cos I'm not ready for bombardment ( really really busy these days) since that's what's reigning U get me now? |

Their reviews are just average but for those who just need to get there, try and book now. Go to their website to get the best deals! so I playfully checked them out.. Outta curiosity... Just opened Sterling and Stanbic and those are speaking grammar about running the account for 6 months. Sweetie u have just been goin to the wrong banks. Try access, fcmb ( u can open a fresh account and get). Before u open an account ask them if they give pta and what their conditions are? |

Some peeps jump out and start asking for email, number etc. LEMME QUICKLY STATE THIS THESE WOMEN JUST HAD BABIES, THEY ARE BREASTFEEDING MUMS. For Christ sakes the hospital name has been mentioned, what will it take u to load ur phone and call. Haba can't u Google Dr's affiliated with the hospitals? And call them getting quotes and all.? Coming to drop feedbacks isn't compulsory let's not overwhelm those who do it. AND I SEE ALOT OF NEW NAMES YOU GUYS DIDN'T GIST US NADA. YET YOU ARE "BOTHERING" SOMEONE WHO JUST GAVE BIRTH |

Antoinette1: please can you share a copy of a notification of change of intent email you sent to the embassy.
i don't have an idea of how i can go about it.
i would appreciate your response. Dear Sir/Madam, NOTIFICATION OF TRAVEL PLAN I am writing to notify the embassy of my travel plans. I have a B1/B2 visa which was obtained for a family vacation, and was used for its intended purpose, however I am now pregnant and we have decided to have our baby in the USA. I have made proper arrangements by contacting a hospital and a doctor in the USA for this purpose and we have adequate finances to cover all expenses. I understand that my Visa covers for the purpose but would like to request that you kindly update my records to reflect my travel plans. Kindly advise if there is any other thing I would need to know before embarking on my trip. Thank you. |

nefertitiram: Hold up!
Sorry for your bad experience. I'm also not his fan but we should understand he is a human being. He cannot divide himself na.
People come to Nairaland with no idea where to start from. The first think they see is Dr.F, houston and stop the research there and run with it. They contact him and he accepts, who doesn't like the cash? Both active and ghost members. What do we expect the man to do? How do we know if there are cheaper hosps out there if we don't rsearch?
If you check this entire thread you will see "who else is going to houston, I'm using Dr F, I'm using Dr F, ' somebody will manage to research another Doc, then they flood there, I'm using Dr.Dre, Dr. Who, Dr. Doolittle. No one wants to take the extra mile.
I think it's a lazy approach and the more we don't wanna work hard for our health, the more the strength of these doctors will fail us.
I used to blame Dr.F before but now, I just blame the herd mentality.
Lemme apologize in advanced if I sound condescending. Even though I agree with most of what you have said the bolded is seriously biting me. A human being should know when to say no. The greed for cash can't be compared to human life at all. God help us all |

My placenta refused to detach I had pph I was transfused 4 pints of blood. My baby had cord round his neck There was shoulder dystosia
Oh yes all of the above happened to me
Now tell me if I was using someone like Dr F and I fell into labor and a nurse took the delivery.. Pls what wld have happened. |

Yer Yer we get people are lazy... But my own ish with Dr F is why he can't say he's fully booked. Most Dr's have a "diary" where dey enter scheduled CS, induction etc. Some have secretaries that help with this.. Incase of emergency he politely tells the patient he has an emergency and wld explain to the patient why he has to send a replacement and try to b with d patient as soon as possible. I mean it's not like these women give birth and leave the hospital the next minute.
Let's leave laziness, empathy, medical ethics and whatnot... I'm talking about courtesy. This is life... LIFE.. There's no spare. Where's the care for patient that's preached? If he's overwhelmed let him say it. If he's not careful he'll be taught a lesson that'll cost him his license... |

Anyways, after one mama shared her experience here about hearing disability that was discovered in her newborn, fear catch me o.. I no even think twice when i sign the paper...lol
Firsttymum, so u carry ur pikin run witout doin it? I wee report you my husband didn't agree with me... He wanted to pay. I had to do the test in my own way for him... He laughed en.. My sons response was epic. In medical school when we r testing the cranial nerves... I schooled in d north it's d local way we do it. so when it's CN VIII Which is hearing and balance.. The hearing component na biscuit nylon o. From behind d patient squeeze several times alternating ears and bla bla.. Lemme not bore u. Mbok me I practically did same for my son this time around I used my voice and his response is still unforgettable |

Just shout chei and see if the baby won't wake up or shake ( or even b frightened). I did one ear at a time Two routine visit first visit because of registration it was 65 dollars or so subsequent was 55 or 50. Check November 10th or 11th post I posted details on this Dr's fee doesn't cover scan. My friend used him.. She was ranting how she had to pay for scan. |
