LI: This reminds me of the lady who was in the news recently for getting embarrassed in the plane by a crew member cos she stayed back at the convenience to pump milk for longer than required.
Go for the nursing drapes, really nice stuffs come in different designs. We have like 3 of them. that cannot be good.... I don't wanna imagine how embarrassed she'll feel |

phyto: I had to constantly pump to keep up bm supply for my daughter (she was exclusive and I had to go to work). Ive pumped on planes, in cabs, in clients offices midway through meetings, in the car while driving and even a couple of times when I had to quickly get out of the car to buy a few things. Just invest in a good portable pump with a compact bag and portable storage bag, preferably one thats not too noisy. Make sure the pump can use both battery and electricity. Also get a good handsfree nursing bra and nursing cover. Nobody needs to know what u are doing and if they wonder what is protruding from under your nursing cover thats their business.
If the reason you want to pump is that you are worried about breastfeeding in public though, forget that thing. Its your right. Just drape your blanket and go on. Ive breastfed with my baby in a carrier even while shopping and at parties and nobody has raised an eyelid. I just hang my nursing cover, pop the boob in her mouth and continue with whatever im doing. wow thanks alot darling. This is elaborately helpful... I'm grateful. I'm pumping cos I must. Not cos I can't breastfeed in public. God blessed me with excess milk.... |

favoredgal: Might be more convenient for you to breastfeed directly o!
Just buy a nursing cover cuz that pumping is a long thing while airborne I'm over secreting milk so I must pump o. silverchi: Good day house, Pls who has used doc Z of oakbend? do u advise him better than dr F? I am about to make a choice as I have gotten correspondence 4rm both of them...tnx Use Dr Z mbok. anonymousmum: I pumped wella. At least 2ce on each leg of my flight. I set up my pump, and threw on a scarf to cover myself. If you can, make a special request for plenty of water (at least 300mls for every hour you will be in the air, I am told) on the flight to ensure your flow, as combination of bfeeding and flying can leave you dehydrated. Ok thanks alot love... I can't cope if I don't pump... Hmmm I don't need water sef... I pump 9oz (260mls) in 10 - 15 mins that's 18 Oz. And I pump my both Bs at d same time. kiboe: If u have an eletric pump that uses batteries as well,u can get a handsfree pumping bra and pump away, totally discreet and convenient. I actually have.... Thanks dear |

IjayMama: @firsttymum..pls I need a lil more info ..is it this same pd that handled your baby's circumcision, if not who handled it? And as she's not affiliated with Oakbend, you were able to use her only after you have been discharged? nope. I'm doing mine in naija. Ask Dr E for circumcision. Their quote to me was 150... Buh me and hubby wants real naija circumcision and we don't wanna take chances... We don't want corner "preek". She's the pediatrician u see post delivery. Erm u r discharged they ask for details of Dr(pediatrician) u wanna see post delivery. Oakbend gives u a letter addressed to the Dr. This letter contain investigations done, child's birth findings etc. |

MumTee: Hello Mums, though I don't have an idea what the BC looks like but I have a question. When filling the BC form, for those of us whose Int passport is in our maiden name despite being married. What name do we fill in the BC form (as the mother) does it allow us to fill both maiden name and married name? maiden name or name u used before ur first marriage (that's their term). A woman can change many husband's but cannot change her maiden name. So contacting the mother or there won't b issues with Surname change ever. |
