Some questions that I ponder on in view of this military/civilian conflict are:

1.........Did anyone compel these soldiers to join the military?...Why the excessive anger and disgust towards civilians?

2......Are they working for free so that Nigerians owe them so much?...They get paid while their bosses have almost equal access as top politicians to the Nation's treasury ....So what exactly is the reason for the sense of entitlement and feeling that they are above the law of the land?

3.......If they demand these extreme respect because they die defending the country, what then should accrue to the thousands who have died due to the failure of the country's security architecture?....We should worship those ones as gods and prophets then?...Isn't everyone at risk of dying in this country as it is presently anyway?...

4....While these soldiers have security in numbers and availability of ammunition to fight insurgents, ordinary Nigerians have mostly only their guts and instincts to protect them from the same criminals ....in fact some people in remote areas, long distance drivers and travellers are at risk of facing these criminals without any armed colleagues or ammo to back them up...Are these people also to demand exception from the laws of the land because they are brave enough to face criminals even unarmed?

Lastly, this "a General is always a General" talk, what law backs it up?...If it is true, what law is a retired General subject to then?...Civil law or martial law?...if he is subject to martial law, how then can be labelled "Retired" and not sent to war like his mates?....If he is subject to only civil law after retirement, how then is he still a General?...and if he is retired and still a General, what and which soldiers is he commanding, and to where exactly is he doing so?

What exactly is going on in this Country ?

Have you asked yourself any of these questions?

If anybody asked Wike to join POLITICS?

Is Wike Nigeria laws that everyone must obey?

Are political holders now gods over the masses?

Are they not being paid with Nigeria's Money?

In as much I think Mr Wike ought to had managed the situation more maturely, I think the impunity of Nigerian military personnels need to be addressed again and again. Vice Admiral AZ Gambo is senior to the current CDS, General Oluyode, and by that, the CDS cannot go against his orders. This is simple military tradition and precedence.

The only person that can give a counter order to the orders of Vice Admiral Gambo is the Commander-In-Chief, Tinubu, but even Tinubu must be careful because there’s a way he’d handle the matter in favour of the law (Wike) and he would anger the rank and file of the military establishment which will not be good at all.

Remember he just survived a coup.

The military officer is so ignorant, did you see the way he was talking to a police officer sef? When I was in Israel, policemen are more powerful than military men on the street, if a military personnel mess up, he will be arrested by a police officer, no matter the military officer rank.

In the USA, military personnel can't arrest a civilian for any offence committed outside a US military base, even if you commit an offence close to thier base, they will call the police to com and arrest the person.

Sorry but we are no longer under a military dictatorship. In a democracy, the military is subjected to civilian control.

Nobody has the power to deploy soldiers for an internal operation without the approval of Mr. President. So, it is illegal to deploy soldiers to go and be protecting a private land of a retired soldier.

Again, it is illegal for anybody to obstruct FCT officials from carrying out their legitimate duties. If we allow just anybody to use access to military boys to stop government officials from doing their jobs, then we are creating a banana republic.

Finally, all lands in the FCT are vested in the Minister of the FCT. He has the power to allocate and cancel the allocation. If the former CNS is dissatisfied with the decision of the FCT minister, he should approach the court and not resort to self help. Obstructing FCT officials including preventing the minister from accessing the land in such a rude and unprofessional manner is unacceptable. Those soldiers should be made to face disciplinary action immediately.

The same way the political office holders, shouldn't be using official vehicles to convey their wife, kids and families.

Can your Wike swear, he hasn't used his official vehicles to carry concubines and girlfriends?

Before Wike went to the place at all, the FCT administration sent some of their officials to the land and asked them to produce the land document, instead of providing the documents they have, the former CNS sent soldiers to the land to stop the officials from doing their job, they don't have any documents at all. Both Lt. A.M Yerima and Wike didn't communicate effectively (or with emotional intelligence). Both of them are guilty to varying degrees of being "egotistic" or not being self-aware in their communication as can be seen in the screenshot and the video.

However, Nyesom Wike is the FCT Minister and should have been accorded that respect by the young military men. He is like a State Governor overseeing the administration of the FCT.

I still remember how the former Governor of Lagos State Babatunde Raji-Fashola got a senior Army officer arrested for using the BRT lane. The officer even had to come out of his vehicle and saluted Babatunde Raji-Fashola in a photograph that went viral online. Period.

I doubt if you aware the same scenario happened to Sanwo Olu and Police officer.
