Minjim: I'm surprised some miscreants are celebrating this gun blazing speech by Trump. Just because their fav lost the last presidential election. Do they think gun blazers will differentiate between Tinubu supporters and Peter Obi ? Remember Lyba , Afghanistan and Syria Those countries, as we all. Know are worst off than what they were all because of foreig intervention.
It's we Nigerians that know whats wrong here. Let's be honest with ourselves, truly Christians are being killed in some parts of Pleatue , Kaduna and Adamawa but when foreigners say it , they say " genocide against Christians" I still have friends that are Christians in Katsina and Kaduna and they're niether affected nor have experienced it before. So let's not support foreigners to come and destroy our nation. After the war, they will leave for the country but we have nowhere to go. Let's calm down. Trump is a media sensational man .
If you are not a miscreant, you won't be surporting your oppressors, just because you are from his tribe, you asked yourself, what has be your gain because you are from Yoruba? He is not only succeeded in removing subsidy, which is only benefit left for masses , now imposing tax on same Petro.
Before you reply, ENDEAVOUR to go to Facebook or Instagram and see millions of your tribe hailing Trump decision, you should also beg your neighbour to allow you to watch interviews on Nigeria Tv channels and watch from your tribe about their opinions on Trump action.
Dididrumz: Still, Trump and the United is not the outsider that Nigeria needs. I don't know why most of You don't know this.
The west has never meant well for any African country.
Is Any African country meant well for herself? Just last week, go and check the ages of 3 Africa leaders that reelected and in which protests have surfaced in their countries.
Cameroon Ivory Coast Tanzania.
You see a bully from American that helping you to checkmate, tyrant in your country, instead of you, to applaud him, you are supporting your oppressors, claiming patriotism.
hafeeanubasy: Its a lie! Why are they also not comfortable with Ibrahim Taore?...Is USA happy with china and russia,is it because of bad governance in China and Russia too? Is USA not battling economic recession as we speak.
Dot allow the hatred for Tinubu becloud your judgement. Reason above emotions.
Is Trump himself ruling with sincerity
Keep it up, even you are being roasted by Tinubu policies, keep shouting hosanna and following him like bambiala.
Let him change his economy policies and way his rulling Nigeria and see overwhelming support from citizens.
You ask yourself, the kind of investigation is ongoing for attempted coup, can 1/10 of it happen, for insecurity in Benue and plateau?
You ask yourself if you are not Yoruba, will you be happy with the way, he yorubalised his govt? Is only Yorubas that has intelligent to do magic in a multiethnic society?
During the time of Buhari, we Yoruba were the one who shouted most about composition of fulanilization of his govt, but now majority of you, suddenly loss your voice because it favour Yoruba, is that how to build a nation to prosperity?
Abdul05: How can Nigerians fight a country where food and electricity are constant.... Please let us be serious,..
But if what bashir Ahmed said in reaction to US interfering about Sharia law..then he has a point in principle..
Trump has no right to dictate internal religious or legal system..unless there is a clear human right violence
Is that not clear human rights violations? What about Deborah saga? What about food shops that must close during Ramadan? What about destruction of beer in people's shops in Kano?
This man govt will be a turning point for Nigeria, if Nigeria will continue to exist as an indivisible nation, witness civil war, coup, revolution or even tenure extension.
The way the man is running, I won't be surprised if one or two of above happen during his reign.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWLMyUf9OxI “My Mother Failed Me” — 24-year-old woman opens up about years of manipulation, neglect and betrayal A 24-year-old Nigerian woman, identified as Oladosu Ola Jumoke, has gone viral after sharing a heartbreaking story about her childhood & the emotional trauma she endured — particularly at the hands of her mother.
In a lengthy video shared online, Ola described her mother as “a narcissist, a manipulator, & a woman who failed me.” She said she decided to speak up after years of silence, not out of hate, but out of a need for healing & truth.
According to her, her parents divorced in 2015 when she was just 14. Her father, a trader based in Ibadan, lost everything after customs seized his goods, plunging the family into financial hardship. Her mother, a nurse, left him & moved away with her other children, leaving Ola behind because she was still on scholarship at the time.
When she later joined her mother & siblings, things took a painful turn. Ola said her mother was in a relationship with a wealthy man who barely supported them, yet constantly pressured her & her sister to “use what they had” to bring in money.
At just 15, Ola says she witnessed disturbing things — from her mother comparing her and her sister to other girls who “had boyfriends that gave them money,” to encouraging behavior that no child should be pressured into.
By 17, Ola said she was introduced to an older man, 20 years her age, who eventually began a relationship with her — allegedly with her mother’s full knowledge and approval.
“She even knelt down and begged me to accept him,” Ola recalled tearfully. “She said he would take care of us & sponsor my education.” Ola said she later moved to Ibadan with the man, hoping to find her father again. But what awaited her was abuse. “He would beat me, even when I was pregnant,” she said. “When I told my mom, she asked me what I did to provoke him and told me to calm down.”
She said her mother manipulated her father into believing she had “run away with a man for money,” cutting her off from him for years. Eventually, tired and broken, Ola ab*rted her pregnancy, reached out to her father — who forgave her & took her in. 📹:TT/empressjummia
If some ladies here can learn lesson, who will always surport everything about women and against everything about man
Efuaye: Is this not supposed to be an interesting news today? The impunity of defections is hurting democracy and gliding Nigeria into a one-party state. Tinubu stayed back to build ACN and today he is reaping from that dedication. Shame on all the political prostitutes. I wish PE could stay back in the Labour Party and build it into a force to be reckoned with tomorrow…BUT!
The judge try, he is one of few remaining to be pocketed by tyrant.
ElSudani: And the person he believes can bring this change is Obi. The same Obi he asked about three times on TV what he intended to do differently from Tinubu and he couldn't answer. He only gave a vague answer about doing things "systematically" Rufai is just a hack masquerading as a journalist.
Very very unprofessional guy and very arrogant, rude and disrespectful
owobokiri: Ruben Abati has always been a Yoruba fanatic in the mode of Bayo Onanuga. You need to go and read about his write up against the east during the Obasanjo years. Dude got himself into hot waters writing about how Obasanjo will "cut off" the heads of Biafrans. It nearly cost him his job at The Guardian then.. Tribalism cones naturally to this bunch. Its all about ethnic defence.
They are always like that. They fooled a lot of people with their anti Abacha tirades during the NADECO days. Folks thought they were pro democracy fighters in the mould of Gani Fawhenmi and Fela. No. They were/are not! Both Abati and Onanuga are all tribal irridentists, who hopped on the pro democracy bandwagon to climb politically and professionally, and are now exhibiting all their noxious tribal penchants, since their tribesman is in power..
The way Oseni is working assiduously for Biafra now
I pity who no pity the guy, he will soon end up grave , since his family and employer refuse to caution him, anyway, no wife and no kid, only online haters will feel his absence most.
An anchor man who is supposed to be neutral, will be totally bias against govt, Anyway, Abati has been in govt and politics, he knows how powerful president can be and how dangerous politicians are.
AfeezShomorin: This is not true, most of this people are evil from birth so it has nothing to do with religion
Whenever Moslems gather outside their mosque, for preaching , burial, remembrance, wedding or anything, in which they noticed present of 2 or more Christians in their midst, pls go there and see what the preach will look like. You are free to comment on any of my comment to give me feed back.
I know you won't say the truth oooo, but that's true position of your religion.
Here is what you will witness, immediately they will change the sermon to hate speech, talking bad about Christian and indirectly, radicalising their adherents.
Ofunaofu: Consistency says a lot about a person’s true conviction. It’s funny how some pastors especially pastor Adeboye could lead protests when Jonathan was in power, but now that Tinubu’s government is making life even harder, He doesn't speak up but resort to organizing prayer sessions.
Pastor Adeboye will declare global prayers for waiting mothers and singles, but won’t speak up about the harsh economic policies that are the very reason so many can’t even afford to marry or start a family. Sometimes, it feels like the church prays for problems it refuses to confront.
Let your father lead the protest now, only a bas.tad, will ask his 83 years old papa to lead protest.
Lanruze: PBAT had better shelve pride and invincibility and consult with former President Obasanjo on this type of Military shake-up.
President Olusegun Obansajo during his '99 - 2003 civilian tenor made some sweeping and bold structural reforms in the Military that has institutionalize discipline whilst making coup plots unattractive.
Part of the structural reforms Obj introduced during his eight year civilian rule include ;
1, Conducting a Military personnel audit after which he retired ALL Officers that had ever held Political Office before whilst ensuring full payments of benefits.
2, Institutionalization of the curriculum of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) with a deep emphasis and bias for Democractic principles and constitutionality of civil rule.
3, Creating the Office of the National Security Adviser and ensuring that a Retired high ranking Military officer manages the position.
Reasons for this coup are
1. Tinubu not running inclusive govt.
2. Wide spread of poverty in the country.
All these structures u claim obj did is not reason, during Obj, ...all the sections of the country feel inclusive in his government, also, the economy improve significantly far better than military.
Can you say that for Tinubu now?
If Tinubu not change the way is governed and also his economy policies, the coup will eventually happen, and if it's doesn't, bloody revolution is imminent.
.....if you like term my comment, Igbo or gambari tribal comments, it doesn't make my message false.
Chucks13: If this is true, my question is why would these guys want to kill so many people just like the and think they will go free or take over and have peace?
Any attempt by anybody to try Jerry Rawlings stunt in Ghana here in Nigeria his entire family will be paying the price from generation to generation because as I said Nigeria is very complex, we are not same tribe, not same culture, not same religion, not same political stand infact not same in everything so killing a president from one tribe or region will lead to anarchy because the victim tribe will fight to finish with everything under the sun to revenge.
Whenever coup plotters not involved "very senior military, it must be bloody, they say, the number one is "brigadier general", just imagine so many, seniors he has.
Since those ones are not part of them, they must shed many blood, because the very seniors will face them fire for fire, ......if they fail to do that, their own career is gone.
The coup involves very top seniors, is called "palace coup"....it used to be bloodless, eg. Abacha and Babangida coups
The coup that doesn't involve very seniors, is called "bloody coup".... Eg, Gideon Orka & Kaduna Nzeogwu coups
truthera: In this era of information warfare, it is not surprising to see how tribalism has been weaponized online, used as a tool to divide Nigerians. Every election cycle, corrupt politicians occupying public offices are usually threatened by the power of social media in uniting Nigerians against them so in a bid to advance their selfish plans, they often recruit jobless youths as social media political influencers/agents to infiltrate socials platforms such as Nairaland, Youtube, Twitter or Facebook. Once these agents agree a monthly or content driven remuneration package, they are given a mandate to push certain tribal hit points. Some of these agents maintain multple accounts up to 20 or 30 accounts in a single platform to drive up "likes", "shares" and other engagement metrics for their hate induced tribal posts, making it look as if other users were interacting positively to their posts.
- Nairaland Weaponized
It is not news to users who have been active on this platform for the past few years that political hacks/agents have hijacked the politics section of the platform. There is no political thread that you won't find them as they are everywhere. Opening multiple tribal baiting threads and making tribal supremacist inciting comments in other people's thread. Simply put, they live on Nairaland, these paid actors will never stop since some of them are paid based on content interaction. Many Nigerians visit the home page and politics section of this platform daily to consume news and shape their opinion on national issues. It is glaring that many of these users are unfortunately consuming the tribal junk been posted here as truth and this is why the toxic tribalism of these paid agents is a dangerous precedence that may eventually lead to real life negative consequences if left unchecked. I've created this thread so that users with knowledge about it can enlighten other users on how to spot these political hacks.
- My Personal Experience
For those who may not know how some of these political agents operate on Nairaland, here are a few pointers I observed since I became a Nairaland member that I think you need to know.
- If you are discussing on a thread or opened a thread that has nothing to do with Peter Obi but you find random users making comments trying to link Peter Obi to such thread or you see this "...Peter Obi will never President...." in any comment, know that these are tribal political agents, you will never be able to convince them about anything or try to have a decent conversation with them so once you spot them ignore them. If you are the OP, report them, if you are not the OP, block them.
- If you are discussing serious political issues on a thread or open a thread to connect with normal human beings but you find random users making comments that starts with or contains any of the following "....we the yoruba people ...." "....you igbo people...." "....go back to your region...." "....you will wail until 2031...." ".....cry more happy to drink your premium tears...." "....you ipobites..." personal attacks like "...you are too emotional...." "...you are childish...." There are so many other dangerous pointers but if a comment in your thread or a thread you are reading contains such words, know that these are tribal political agents, you will never be able to convince them about anything or try to have a decent conversation with them so once you spot them ignore them. If you are the OP, report them, if you are not the OP, block them.
- If you open Nairaland political section and see a headlines like "Why Yoruba will always be better than Igbos" "No Igbo man will never be rule Nigeria" "Yoruba people are the most backward tribe..." "Tinubu is the best president in Nigeria's history" There are so many other dangerous tribal headlines but if a thread title contains such words, know that these are tribal malicious political agents, you will never learn anything useful participating in such thread as it will be so toxic that they will end up inductrinating you as a tribal bigot. For sanity sake, as guest user with no Nairaland account avoid such threads and if you do have account then proceed to report the OP.
- If you come across a news posted by a Nairaland user exposing how Tinubu or members of his government misappropriated billions of naira or stating how peaceful protesters protesting against Tibubu's government action were beaten, arrested and charged with treason. When reacting to this news thread, you find some users (You already know some familiar names but I won't mention them) praising Tinubu, his government's evil oppressive actions in a sychophantic unreasonable manner while attacking every other users viciously, continuously, know that these are APC political agents, you will never be able to convince them about anything or try to have a decent conversation with them, there objective is to silence you from criticizing their APC government so once you spot them ignore them. If you are the OP, report them, if you are not the OP, block them.
- Final Words These are some of the pointers you need to be mindful of when reading news or reacting to issues raised by other Nairaland users. If any one has some other pointers to add that you think that I missed, feel free to post here. Let's expose, silence and shame these tribal trolls!
What did you want to say about Igbo people that eternally wailing and conderming not only Tinubu but all Yorubas?( You are totally bias in your submission)
You want the Yoruba to start hailing Igbo, wen Igbos are attacking Abi?
Igbo people are major problems not only on nairaland but also, all social media in Nigeria, they are not the only tribe that have not yet produced president, they stop bringing Nigeria nation down, because they haven't produced a president.
We men are the major cause of this epidemic problem. When you ask a lady out in which she rejects you, be endeavour to move to other girls, which may date you for love, but wen u start luring and manipulating her with all sorts of financial inducements, what did you expect, wen she eventually agrees to date you?
The billing must continue, and to make it worse, this type of girl would eventually become wife, if money now stops to flow as it were during relationship, the girl will start bringing attitude, before you know, the marriage would become toxic.
franvincoop: Stop talking like this bro, there is a flaw in the foundation of your statement. @ the bolded, the current leaders of Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, Niger, Gabon today who took power through a coup, do you think they were the highest ranking soldiers before the coup? Do you think they were even in the top 10% of the Army hierarchy before the coup? Traore is and was just a captain ooo. Some were Colonels, some were Generals, some were Palace guards who were not even part of the regular army.
You are free to disagree, all those countries, their security formation not skewed towards same tribe, besides, those countries are not multiethnic and multiple religions like Nigeria.
In Nigeria today, extremely difficult to remove govt of the day, except if security chiefs agree to do it, which is even almost impossible as well.
You think it's only security chiefs Tinubu appointed wen it first became president? He also personally appointed, the heads of all formations around the seat of govts, which are his trusted men in military.
Coup is extremely difficult to succeed, with the way the man in Aso Rock, appointed military hierarchy and personnel, who are securing him, except if those people betray him, which is almost impossible. All the coup plotters except 2 are from North, when almost security forces in Nigeria, headed by Yorubas. "to make more difficult, all entries formation in Abuja headed by extremely loyal soldiers, majority from Yorubas".
Even if that bloody coup, succeeded, those involved won't still be President, because of several people that are still way above them. Those guys would have subdued them and became the beneficiaries.
Why risking your life for thing you will not enjoy ultimately, if it eventually succeed ?
