Jackie made this known while discussing with JMK on Wednesday night.

Recall Jackie B at the early days of the reality show disclosed that she got pregnant after having sex for the first time when she was 19.

Speaking to JMK, she said: “I was in labour for four days from Friday to Monday.

“The period of my pregnancy was simple but labour was difficult.”

A former spokesperson to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has reminded President Muhammadu Buhari that Khairullah Khairkhwa, a Taliban prisoner who was rehabilitated by the Barack Obama’s administration, is now one of the Taliban leaders in Afghanistan.

The Police Command in Kano State have successfully rescued fourteen kidnapped victims abducted in different operations within two months.

This was contained in a statement signed by the command Spokesmen, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa and made available to newsmen on Monday.

He said the victims were rescued in different operations.

According to the statement, “On the 03/08/2021 at about 0700 hours, on the instruction of the Commissioner of Police, to sustained security patrol and rescued the remaining five victims of kidnapping captured on 02/08/2021, team of Policemen at Falgore Forest ”

“Also On the 02/08/2021 at about 2110hours, a report was received that unknown armed men along Kano – Jos road by Falgore forest, Doguwa LGA, Kano State, open fire and stopped Opel Vectra motor, dark green in color and kidnapped the eight occupants into the forest”

“A team of Policemen attached to Anti-Kidnapping Squad also engage the hoodlums and rescue the victims.”

“On the 01/08/2021 another victim was rescued from their captivity and also arrested the culprits”

Kiyawa said during the period eight suspected kidnappers were also arrested in different operations.

The Police in Jigawa has said the 21 persons who lost their lives in the state died after a bridge collapsed in Gwaram Local Government Area.

Spokesman of the Command, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam disclosed this to newsmen.

He explained that the incident happened on Sunday at about 6:00 am, when a Hummer bus with registration number FYK 406 ZA carrying 18 passengers from Kano to Adamawa and an unregistered lorry conveying three passengers fell into a collapsed bridge covered by floodwater.

Adam said all victims were evacuated to Basirka hospital and were confirmed dead by a medical doctor[color=#000000].[/color]

He, however, said only one person identified as Simon Chinapi survived the accident with a leg fracture.

An eyewitness who is also the Chairman State Civil Society forum, Musbahu Basirka, said the bridge collapsed following a heavy downpour that flooded and covered the area.

He said all the 21 passengers died on the spot.

They include 11 disqualified military recruitment applicants and nine other passengers.

The Osun Police Command on Friday announced the dismissal of the police officer who shot and killed a man on a motorcycle in Osogbo.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports the Sgt. Adamu Garba shot and killed Saheed Olabomi on July 27.

In a statement by the Osun Police spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, the officer was dismissed after an orderly room trial.

“The general public will recall that on July 27, the Osun Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode, immediately arrested and detained the Police officer that shot one Saheed Olabomi in Osogbo, for disciplinary action[color=#000000].[/color]

“As the CP promised, in the best tradition of transparency and accountability, that the outcome of the trial will be brought to the public.

“The Policeman, F/NO.467549 Sergeant Adamu Garba, has been tried in Orderly room in line with the laid down Rules and Regulations of the Nigeria Police Disciplinary procedure.

“The erring officer has been found guilty of the offence and subsequently dismissed from the Force.

“The orderly room procedure has been forwarded to Police Force Headquarters, Abuja, for necessary action towards prosecution.

“This, the CP believes will serve as deterrence to other Police officers.

“The Commissioner wishes to apprise the general public, most especially the good people of the state, that he will never condone any act of indiscipline and unprofessional conduct exhibited by any member of the Nigeria Police under his watch.

He, however, appealed to members of the public to be law-abiding and be rest assured that justice will prevail.

Reacting to the sad news, Comrade Daniel Onjeh, the Chairman Governing Board of Projects Development Institute (PRODA), in a statement on Wednesday expressed his profound grief over the sudden and painful demise of Com. Lado

Onjeh, a former NANS President (2002 -2003), commiserated with Lado’s immediate and extended family, the Nigerian students’ movement and the global body of rights activists.

He urged everyone to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived a life of impact, and his name shall remain ever-green in our hearts and in the chronicles of the true heroes of NANS.

The statement partly read, “I recall that while his name occupied a prominent place in the annals of the Nigerian Student Movement, I didn’t make physical contact with him until after my tenure as NANS President; when I convened the first-ever Former NANS Presidents’ Forum at the Dayspring Hotel, Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, in 2004.

“Not only did Comrade Lado honour my invitation to the Forum, but he made far-reaching contributions to the robust discussions at the meeting; and has remained consistent ever since, in attending meetings of the Forum, as well as honouring other invitations to programs organized by NANS.

“Comrade Lado has equally remained pivotal in mentoring and supporting the future generations of NANS leaders, and lending his voice to the quest for human rights and justice as well as to broader conversations on the socio-economic and political contexts of Nigeria. His shocking departure is indeed, a monumental loss to NANS.

“Rest in peace, Senior Comrade Lado.”

Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) has said there are too many injustices in Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.

Falana said this while making reference to the [color=#000000]Federal Government’s[/color] hasty decision to extradite Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho, from Benin Republic to Nigeria just like leader of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, but now following due process in embattled police officer, Abba Kyari’s case.

Falana speaking with BBC Yoruba stressed that the present administration’s injustice is obvious which was why he was against the quick extradition of Kanu to Nigeria.

Falana said: “The Benin government made its Nigerian counterpart understand that its country is not lawless. They insisted on following the due legal processes and said without going to court, they cannot hand over Igboho to you.

“This is how it should be under the law; the judge will scrutinise Nigeria’s extradition request from Cotonou to Abuja.

“That was why I criticised the hasty transfer of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria. Now, the same Government wants Abba Kyari to go to court before he is transferred to the United States. And this is what the government should have done in the case of Kanu.

“There are too many injustices in Nigeria and this is not good.”

Nigerian man arrested in India for duping teacher of N2.2m with promise of job overseas

The Dindigul cybercrime police in Tamil Nadu has arrested a 35-year-old Nigerian national on charges of cheating a private school teacher of Rs 4 lakh (N2.2m) by promising him a job in Canada.

The suspect identified as Uchenna Christian was arrested by a team of officials on Saturday, August 7 and remanded to judicial custody on Sunday.

According to police, the complainant, M Venkatachalapathy,45, of Pallapatti in Dindigul, was working as a teacher at a private school in Vellore. Due to the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, he left Vellore and returned to his native.

He got acquainted with the suspect through Facebook. Uchenna reportedly promised Venkatachalapathy that he would get him a job in Canada. Citing expenses for making arrangements, including passport, he allegedly demanded about Rs 4 lakh, which Venkatachalapathy paid, the police said.

However, when he started demanding more money, Venkatachalapathy grew suspicious and lodged a [color=#000000]complaint[/color] with the Dindigul cybercrime police in March this year, they added.

With the help of Uchenna's social media account, mobile number, and bank transaction details, the police traced his whereabouts and found that he is currently residing at Perundurai in Erode district. He was subsequently arrested and remanded.

The suspect would be lodged at Puzhal Prison in Chennai, the police said.

Whether he has cheated any other person or has any accomplices is yet to be found, they added.

The Safer Highway Patrol team 018 on routine stop and search has arrested a couple with locally-fabricated revolver pistols and a locally-made short gun with two cartridges in their possessions.

Other items recovered from the couple includes,five android phones, [color=#000000]power bank[/color] , 25 sim cards of different networks and 1Hp Laptop.

They (couple) were arrested along Agbor Alifikede boundary between Delta and Edo State.

The suspects were Samuel Ikpi ‘m’ aged 28 years who resides at Odigbo new town Ondo State and Eunice Samuel ‘f’ aged 25 years who claimed to be the wife of the former.

The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali in a statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe said, “Preliminary investigation revealed that suspect is a member of Arobarger confraternity.”

This is coming as the Safer Highway Patrol team at Agbor also arrested one Odili Innocent ‘m’ aged 40 years of Idogbo area Benin.

The Police also recovered one locally made pistol and three live cartridges from the suspect.

The Nigerian police have arraigned a young man, Joshua Adeyinka Kayode, (22), before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, for allegedly using a fake investment scheme to defraud 170 people to the tune of N10.7 billion.

He was arraigned on Thursday before Justice Tijjani Ringim on 170 counts of conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence alongside his company, Quintessential Investment Company Limited, by the men of Force Criminal Investigation Department (ForceCID) Annex, Alagbon-Ikoyi, Lagos.

Counsel for the prosecution, Williams Tijjani, told the court that the defendant and others now at large, committed the offences between July 2020 and March 2021[color=#000000].[/color]

He also told the court that the defendant defrauded the victims under the pretence of false multiple returns on investment.

According to the prosecutor, the offences committed by the defendant are contrary to and punishable under sections 8(a) and 1(1) (a) (c) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act 2006.

The defendant, however, denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to all the counts.

Upon a not-guilty plea, the prosecutor, asked the court to remand him in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS), pending when his bail application would be heard and determined.

Counsel to the defendant, Snr Advocate of Nigeria, Mr Emeka Okpoku, did not oppose the prosecutor’s remand application, but instead asked the court for a short date to enable him file the bail application.

After listening to the submission of parties, Justice Tijjani Ringim, adjourned the matter till August 11, for the hearing of the defendant’s bail application.

Justice Ringim also ordered that the defendant be remanded in the custody of the NCOS, till the hearing and determination of his bail application.

Chief Edwin Clark, South-South Leader of Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has no power to impose open grazing on State governments.

President Buhari had in a recent interview given a positive nod that would see the return of cattle grazing paths, allowing herdsmen trail designated routes across [color=#000000]Nigeria[/color].

Reacting to the development, Clark said the decision by the seventeen Southern governors on open grazing is unchallengeable and binding on any person, including Buhari.

“The decision on open grazing and other decisions taken on national interest by the seventeen Southern governors received the full support of the people of Southern Nigeria, particularly the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo of the South-East, PANDEF of the South-South and the Afenifere of the South-West.

“The President [Muhammadu Buhari] has no power or authority to impose open grazing on state governments.

“Therefore, any law banning open grazing by state governments isn’t only legal and binding but is unchallengeable and binding on any person or group of persons, including the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“We’ll no longer tolerate hate and divisive statements targeted at deriding and insulting others, from these Fulanis who believe Nigeria is exclusively theirs and other Nigerians are their subjects and not their fellow citizens,” Clark was quoted by Channels TV as saying on Monday.

I am saddened to hear about the death of Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua known as TB Joshua, the Spiritual Leader of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), at a young age of 57.
