BusinessRe: How To Get Buyers For Bitter Kola Export by fistonme(m): 3:44pm On Jan 11, 2013
andico34: this is my two cents........the bitter kola market worldwide is currently saturated....and those involved in the supply business behave as if in a cult.... that is tightly guarded...but there are other foodstuff that have readily available buyers like garri which you can sell for $25 per kg (if airfreighted)....egusi and ogbono $30 per kg (all negotiable).....and you can make close to what they make in bitter kola on this smiley

Mynd_44: I can't believe what these guys are saying
my brother you better believe oh. I no sure say u don dey relationship wey girl take such nice attitude of u wanting to share chores with her on the wrong perspective, you for no dey speak this your oyibo... O boy wake up oh na africa you dey oh even sef u be african. Make we no let MTV Base, Etv, BBc too brainwash us to our own detriment(hence the high rate of divorce in africa now compared to the pre-colonia era and advent of westernization of our culture in the name of civilization) in the name of enlightenment. Our culture is 95% right. Lets adhere to it and begin to enjoy the long 'diminished' joy in our homes and society at large. This is not to say i detest 'gender equality' but it has been observerd that most women rather want to use it as a pretext to ursurp the divinely ordained maxim man is the head in the home and abscond from duty. [Kindly pardon any harsh word used by me if any]

Nice thread. If only majority of our jobless youths could key into this under-explored form of export, i dare say the menace of unemployment will be greatly reduced. I would advice interested persons to follow the concise and straight-forward advice given by Mr. Bright.
PoliticsRe: SSS Detained Journalist Over Chime's Death Story by fistonme(m): 10:27pm On Dec 19, 2012
taharqa: And if the said neigbour was not even in town then Or if it was your kid Sister that heard such 'unconfirmed' just like that while chatting with fiends on 'togo' Or what if it was your aged grandmother who is suffering from ig blood pressure/Hypetension that heard the news....

Do you know why in saner climes, journalists or even Govt agencies cant name a Dead person (confirmed) if their immediate family members have not been intimated already? Do you know why the State Dept and Media houses in the US refused to name 2 of 4 persons killed in the Bengazi Embassy attack for about a day till they intimated their family members Or why CNN was taken to the 'cleaners' for divulging personal details from the diary of the slain ambassador even after he had been named?.....

Those are SANER climes..Punch should be grateful that they operate in Nigeria, else their azz would have since been served with a lawsuit so BIG they would even need to borrow money to pay off..
with more regards to the last paragraph of your state ment above, these are two different cadre of individuals one has a public appointment(chime in this case) and the other a political/private appointment(the ambassador and retired navy seals guards from a private seurity firms). It is a well known fact that the day you accept a public appointment(say a governor) you become stripped of a better part of your privacy(like celebrities). Hence there is deregulation to an extent in matters concerning you as opposed to those concerning political and private figures. Please dont tell me in america even on CNN, there are not cases of BREAKING NEWS reporting the death of a public/influential figure seconds immediately they are informed by their source(even before the prior knowledge of the berieved family).

The issue in question is not about SANITY or INSANITY(thats another discourse entirely). If it were to be my kid sister in a distant land who came accross such a story, seeing the word 'unconfirmed' tied to the caption and without first picking up her phone to call my Dads line to speak to him(or any member of the family or friends who would be close to him at the time) and 'confirm' the story but instead immediately starts crying on reading the story(declaring it to be comfirmed without putting into effect the word UNCONFIRMED on the caption), i would strongly advise my Dad to stop paying are school fees peradventure she is schooling where ever she was at the time and tell her to come home Because that is a proof that she is not being developed intellectually and in learning by schooling. Same for my grandma. Though i would pardon her if she is well striken in age, yet i believe she should naturally be thrown aback coming accross such news in the first instance but what makes the difference is the extra effort she takes in verifying if it is true or false hence a moment of relief that comes with her knowing it is falsehood in totallity. Please the Benghazi issue does not fit into the issue at hand. I would rather see the reason for that as a means for the security agencies and their staff to quickly cover up their lapses because they know that immediately it is let out to the public without cooking the story to save their as* they would end up taking the fall since the americans are curious and ask questions(which may prompt an immediate investigation). This is already seen in he american polity. Susan rice being the latest pawn to be cut down. In all with reading comes a duty. A duty to check and balance whatever you have red before digetsing.

Quoting MANNY4LIFE-"Fidel nor Chime doesn't add anything to my life, but to me, Chime is more of national symbol of importance than Fidel is because by virtue of being a Nigerian".

Do you believe all humans are equal and should be treated as such. Maybe you are a proponent of the Animal farm premise- All animal are equal but some are more equal than others. You appear to be racially cum ethnocentrically personified. Perhaps you reside in the states or in diaspora, please do youself a favour dont complain of racial profiling if treated as such.

taharqa: 'Unconfirmed' reports indicates that your Dad and Mum just died in an unfortunate ghastly accident along the notorious East-West road. Details later.....
yes accepted as an "unconfirmed" report. If a neighbour reads it in the daily and he happens to be sitting with my dad at the time maybe discussing the state of the nation. I guess you already know what would be his reaction(a big laugh as opposed to when he is far of). The reason being that he has confirmed and know it is to the contrary. Same thing goes when a rational reader reads a story tagged "unconfirmed". It all boils down to the fact that-i am responsible for 'what i say' and not 'what you deduce from what i say'.
PoliticsRe: SSS Detained Journalist Over Chime's Death Story by fistonme(m): 7:11pm On Dec 19, 2012
manny4life: Lame to you.

YES, to each his own. What concerns me if Nigerian publisher publishes that SA governor or Cameroonian president is dead? How does that affect me? huh huh huh F huh Freedom of press is only restricted to the individual country/state, therefore, if CNN publishes wrongful information or otherwise about another country, that's different than when it's "HOMELAND SECURITY". Get the difference?

Apparently, in you futile bid to make me look bad, you've exhibited same daftness you accuse me of. Have you ever heard of CNN publishing any state governor being dead or sick or otherwise "WRONGFULLY"? Please use your fuc.king brains and not your an.us to think. A Nigerian published wrongful material about a "SITTING GOVERNOR" of his homeland, that would serious security chaos, how does that equate to CNN publishing "UNCONFIRMED" international stories?
my dear all i have seen in your statement so far is mere irrationality and inferiority complex in display. Professionalism has no restriction neither does freedom of speech(because news reporting is based on truth and facts on ground as at the time of reproting). I for one viewed the article in question. I saw nothing wrong in it if it later turned out that chime is still alive because what was reported was "uncomfired" death of chime. So a learned reader would read and interprete rationally. A proof for you to know the professionalism employed in the caption for the news is this; The reporter and punch newspaper would have been entangled in various litigations for libel on the contrary by now.
