The mouths are so big for a team that couldnt win a World Cup qualifiers group that had the likes of Lesotho, Zim and a "pitiful" South Africa in it..
Dude, we literally gave you guys a two-year headstart on the World Cup qualifiers and we still came from 5th place and almost topped the group on the last day. Lack of preparation cost us the ticket. Look how things are now that our squad is settled and beginning to gel. We secured 9 points out of 9 - one of only two teams to achieve this feat in this year's AFCON. It’s cute that you remember the qualifiers sha. Nostalgia is all you have left now that Cameroon has sent you to the departure lounge. cheesy

Which SouthAfrican got a starting place at Man Utd?

Radebe, Moshoeu, Pienaar, Fortune and Mccarthy are not World class. You cant xompare them with players like Drogba, Etoo, Osihmen,Ikpeba, Finidi, Sammy Kuffour. Mane,Yaya and Kolo Toure, Salah, Essien, Kanu etc.

SouthAfricans are about 245k-298k in the UK, while Nigeria is about 500k, which is not surprising considering that Nigeria is normally more populated and diverse than SouthAfrica. But that difference in Number doesnt account for the wide difference in the number of UK- born Nigerians who made it to these top NTs and clubs vs those of SouthAfrican decents. In the case of Ghana, there are more UK born Southafricans than them, but from the top of my head, I can call Mainoo, Guehi, Nketiah and Acheampong. These are for English speaking countries oo, if you go to France you see French born Cameroonians, Senegalese, Malians, Burkinabes, Benenoise, etc. Just admit it You just dont have the natural footballing ability to excell above this your current level. You are even performing up to thos level because you are one of the exonomic super powers in Africa.
They are an overachieving side and it's thanks to Hugo Broos. Banana banana won't realize how special and insane their 2023 AFCON semi final run was until they get grouped or dropped in the Round of 16 again for the next 3 editions of the tournament. cheesy

Even when it comes to B-tier African footballing countries, I still rate Congo and Mali above them.

Lol, Football is one area where you guys feel you have one against SA.
It's not a feeling. It's statistics. You've never beat us in a competitive game, and judging by the games you've played in this AFCON, you might never see another AFCON trophy in your lifetime. Poor minnows. grin

Lol, you guys kill me sometimes, you're child-like.. trivial things excite you so much
I'm just providing the commentary your pitiful performance deserved. It's interesting that you find facts to be "trivial" though.

Another country I'm waiting to descend on in Twitter is DR Congo. I don't mind using Google translate, I go troll them wetin no good if we jam dem and comot them. I just pray that somehow this FIFA case goes in our favor. That will be the icing on the cake. I swear dem go report me for that app. angry

The funniest thing be say na Cameroon and South Africa play, but na Nigeria dey banter South Africa on behalf of Cameroon, then we come still dey drag Ghana on top. grin grin

We go jam either Senegal or Cameroun for final. Remember Maroc 88, Cameroun robbed us.
We're meeting Cameroon in the semi final.

Funny how I'm rooting for them to beat SA and Morocco now but will turn on them when they face Nigeria in the semis (hopefully).

Relax bruh this is so effing wrong. RSA knocked out Morocco last time and also Saffers and Moroccans have a standing political beef regarding Western Sahara.
That one no concern me. All I know is enjoyed them getting booed and trashed in that game. Daz all.

grin naija journalists just dey yab SA on Twitter from cloin udon, to pooja, and osasu, na so SA vex people reach? chai
Moroccan fans booed South African players in the stadium and were rooting for Cameroon. That's what you get when you're xenophobic and strut around like you're the best when realistically you haven't achieved a quarter of what others have. With this performance, they'll be lucky to win a single game this summer at the World Cup. Las las fake life no good. cheesy grin

SA na Spain abi England? Nawa for una ooo

In African footie who be SA to be compared to Cameroon?
Na South African media cause am. They've made themselves think they now roll with the big dogs. Bafana have arguably been one of the more disappointing teams in this AFCON. But I love their overconfidence. Experiencing defeat when you're so sure you'll win is the best type of reality check.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by FiveFootNinja(m): 7:24pm On Jan 04
It disturbs me that South Africa have an almost perfect record against Cameroon. That being said, people seem to be writing off this Cameroonian team. Bafana might be in for a rude awakening.

Full time. 1-0.

On a side note, away from the Morocco Tanzania game, I'm baffled at the way our sports journalists are talking trash about Chelle just because he doesn't want any unnecessary distractions with the squad and is training behind closed doors. The entitlement of these guys is something else.

They will cry blood today

Now they are 1-0 down 😂
They goofed up big time. If they were a little bit clinical, they should have been two goals up by now. Two empty nets missed. Who does that?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by FiveFootNinja(m): 6:25pm On Jan 04
If this is what Morocco wants to play in this AFCON, then the only teams I'm scared of at this point are Ivory Coast and DR Congo. This cup is ours to lose.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by FiveFootNinja(m): 5:53pm On Jan 04
Tanzania will likely still lose this game sha, but I love how they are making Morocco work for it. It turns out their narrow defeat to Nigeria and hard fought tie with Tunisia wasn't a fluke at all.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by FiveFootNinja(m): 5:20pm On Jan 04
Oboy the way these small teams dey rush big teams for this knockout stage. Hmm. I know how shaky we can be at the back o. Make Mozambique no go wipe us wetin no good. We need to control the pace of that game because Mozambique go wan dey form speedsters on the ball.

Tanzania not letting Morocco breathe in the first couple of minutes.

They somehow missed an open net too. Unbelievable.

If Mali's attack were a bit more lethal, I could have seen them upsetting Senegal in the quarters. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening. Best case scenario, it goes to penalties again, except it may not swing in their favor this time.

Extra time it is. Now that goals have been scored, I hope both teams can now come out guns-a-blazing and we get a more entertaining game.
