if same confederation is your argument, there are group pairings that already displace that theory.
England and croatia
Bosnia and Switzerland
Netherlands and sweden
France and Norway.
They are all from uefa and also in the same group.

If I'm not mistaken I think UEFA is the only confederation that's allowed to have 2+ teams in the same group, because the number of entrants from there is more than the number of groups.

Somehow I missed Poland. Yeah Poland's there too.

But then again including them is doing a lot of heavy lifting. I'd only include them because of their Olympic soccer performances. Although I don't think their success there has translated to World Cups and UEFA tournaments.

Out of all the names you mentioned it's only Italy, Denmark, Nigeria, Cameroon and Russia that even qualify to be argued as footballing nations.

Sweden have pedigree but they qualified, so they don't count.

Romania's football peak was in the late 80s to early 90s if I'm not mistaken. Since the start of the 21st century, they've essentially been relegated to minnows.

Scrap the rest. They don't even come close to being called footballing countries.

Once Jamaica hold ball, there's no logic to their next move. It's just to hoof the ball up to the DR Congo keeper.

Funnily enough, DRC haven't been all that good. They're actually not playing that well. They played better against us and against Cameroon. This is their first match since January if I'm not mistaken. Jamaica is just playing disastrously.

Jamaica and their fruitless long balls have finally done them in. They're even more painful to watch than Nigeria 😂😂

It's eerie how Italy WC qualifying exit mirrors our own.

- Concede a goal that was technically avoidable
