Please guys, i still need some info from you guys. I believe it will be of help to others too. Will appreciate answers to the following:
1. Please now that most banks have started withdrawing the use of debit cards for International transactions, whats the alternative if one travels out and how best can one access his or her maintenance fee? How then can one have access to the money in his or her Naija bank account?
2. Please i might be a novice but it won't be a bad idea if i asked this. Please can someone please explain what domiciliary account is. Whats the use of it to a student travelling to the UK for studies. I will admit that i don't know what it is.

Pls which bank did you use? Thanks I went to GTBank today to try and pay and was told it would take btw 2weeks to a month to process the payment thats why i was wondering which bank you used and within how many days/weeks would the school receive the payment

Well I made use of Union Bank where I have an account. The guy went straight to his system,scanned every necessary document,and started d processing. Don't know how long it will take shaa. It all depends on your bank. U need to act fast,cos the CBN is planning to withdraw anytn Form A.

For those who intend to use ATMs in UK, I advice you to use Standard Chartered Bank.

*Invariably, GTB is charging 479 while Standard Chartered is charging 432 for atm withdrawals.

Yeah they will take the charges. Didn't really ask about the charges. When u get there,u the request for form A,then dey will direct u to d pesin incharge. Then he will request for ur conditional offer letter,ur photocopy of ur degree certificate, details of payment, then if the money is in ur account,u will provide ur account details and ur bvn number,den ur id card ( could be voters' card, drivers' licence or national id card). He or she will then fill the form and attach copies of all dos tnz I have listed. That's all.

I was charged 300 for a pound at Union bank for Form A. As for PTA,I didn't confirm from them.

Guys,if u wana pay ur tuition using Form A, I suggest u do that fast. Just returned from the bank. The rate at which this exchange rate is climbing is scary. Pounds moved from 287 as at last week to 300 for a naira today. Have not gotten info regarding the dollar. Plz act fast before it moves higher.

Guys, if u r planning to pay for your tuition using the Form A, please act fast before the exchange rate increases beyond what it is currently. I actually paid mine today and it was paid at the rate of 300naira for 1 pound. Seems the CBN has given instructions regarding exchange rates. Its so annoying. Please try and act fast if you have intentions of using Form A.
Almost got discouraged when the man kept asking me unnecessary questions regarding why i want to study abroad. He claimed he actually took a study leave from his work place as a banker and studied in the UK for his masters and he came back to Nigeria. That he is currently doing his MBA in Unical. That what's my gain going to the UK to study when we have good education here. That i want to go and damage my dad's money. I felt so demoralized. But i had to summon courage goals i have a goal. Tried not to allow all he said to get at me.

Check Diamond Bank and Union Bank. But u need to act fast ooo. Will be at the bank today, will keep you guys posted.

It's not new now..... For like 3month now, I can only withdraw $140/#45k equivalent depending on d exchange rate for dat day on my Fidelity card and $500 online.

At times I had to go to d atm by 5.30 pm so that I can collect for 2days at once, one b4 6pm and one after 6pm, naija will be by 12am by then

My worry is the exchange rate. The whole thing has skyrocketted. And now its like paying tuition through Form A will be quite challenging.

PLEASE NOTE: Diamond bank stopped usage of Naira debit card with immediate effect sometime last week, Standard Chartered will stop 1st June and Stanbic IBTC has reduced daily limit to $100 so PLEASE check with your bank before you travel

Please rephrase the statement. Diamond bank stopped usage of debit card abroad long ago. But how do these people want Nigerians abroad to cope? This is getting serious ooo. Whats d solution or alternative?

I will tell you a funny scene that happened to me ...

After checking in my luggage's, went thru immigration which took forever and my blood dey hot... as i was dressing up back since we were asked to take off belt and co... i noticed some officers stopping ppl in front asking some questions...

SO walking down to my gate ... so they stopped me ... there were 3 stands, one spoke to me in a very nice way and i decided to give them something as they were polite... as i was leaving the third stand called me , i dont know who they were or whatsoever...

First thing he asked me is How much are u carrying , I said nothing, he was trying to talk too much i just told him one sentence... excuse me i am not required to carry cash and i showed him my ATMS (Barclays, GTB, ACCESS bank) and i told him i do not need to carry cash since my ATM are perfectly working ... so they changed there tone and say sir please find something for us and i said sorry i have no money and i left...

One thing i notice here is if they see you are first timer and they notice you do not know what u r saying they will take advantage of you so please speak like u know what u r saying... do not let them take advantage of you ... It is only in Nigeria airport you will be asked all this stupid questions...

Also be careful with this BALL boys( that is what i call them) they check your passport before you check-in your luggage.. this ones are just idiots excuse my french.... they act like they know something...most times i just give them my passport and ignore them and let them fool themselves... One time, i was traveling to South Africa and the guy said my visa was fake BLAH BLAH.... i said dude dont waste my time... to cut the long story short... he said most nigerians do not know how to defend their self ... and he was asking me for money ... I just ignored him... aside this two , you are fine...

You are going to face another experience so bruv... enjoy it.

Bro, thats not what he is talking about. I think he means some money he could use immediately he gets to UK. Probably to pay maybe a taxi or to buy somethings urgently...not necessarily to give out to "Ball boys".

because of Exchange rate, to buy a pounds here is #490 to £1, can i just buy £350 so that i can hold it, when they ask me at POE so that i can show them and when i get to UK i can now use my Master Card to withdraw from ATM. i hope this will not affect my when they ask me how much do i hold? at POE...

I believe the white paper they gave you at the embassy after approving your visa contains all the relevant instructions. Finally, I do not think you can request it to be delivered to your office. Are you a diplomat?

I guess she's talking about UK visa.
Cos from what I know,they deliver your visa to you.
If she's talking of US delivering visas at your
doorstep,then its a big NO!!!.

But as at last week,CBN sold at the rate of 199 for a dollar and 286 for a pound. So am quite surprised.

About wrapping up my application. Just a few more questions. Just dont want any errors.

1. I set my arrival date as 2nd January. Hope this doesnt mean i can't travel b4 that date once i get my visa?

2. There is a part on the Tier 4 section where it says " please provide details on how you have been accessed as a sponsor"

3. My elder sister is sponsoring me, would it be right to use her bann statements or do i have to move funds. Plus she is based in the uk
