I am just apprehensive because I heard the form A will soon stop. Don't want to go n change the dollars I have been saving and form A no go work . I am yet to go my form I-20 from my school. So I still have a long time to wait. I think its still possible withdrawing from the dollar account. One has to act fast before the Central Bank withdraw the Form A. |

justwise: It's definitely consequential because you posting what he has written is as good as him posting it himself.
His interview transcript does not supersede no jack! A ban is a ban.
He was busy diverting traffic to Facebook while we have the same group here in trave section and Education.
I pointed out this to him last September but he constantly keep asking people for email addresses to add them up then he was banned, he emailed me and asked for the ban to be reduced but I unbanned him.
Now few months down the line he was at it again leaving me with no choice.
Yes I quoted that 50yrs comment because here in nairaland if you don't dispute inaccurate info then people take it to be true. Justwise, Please we are soliciting for his ban to be reconsidered. Sirriddy is not a stranger to each of us. Please, am personally pleading. Funny enough Sirriddy will simply move on, afterall he has gotten his visa approved. But for some of us,sirriddy is a great resource. Many have benefitted from him. In future he will help some with sevis fee and application. Please. |

Mekurexx: Hello Guys...So my transcript goes thus. Firstly I want to Thank the Almighty God. He was the one who gave me admissions and I always reminded him that he started this journey with me since last year, he cant abandon me now. [i]I serve a God that uses a stick to bring forth iron from the sea to disgrace the magnet. He showed Himself strongly today. I said a prayer that the Lord should straighten all crooked ways and grant me favour, He answered. My appointment was 11am (I chose 11am cuz recently approvals were from 11am appointments). Got to the embassy around past 9 thereabout. The usual security checks and then we walked into the interview room. It was jam-packed Trust me whatever nerves you have, after standing up on that queue, the nerves will dry up. today more of approvals than denials I was interviewed by a VO in Window 6:
V.O: Good Morning, pass me your docs (passport with ds-160 etc folded in) Me: Morning, How are you ? *passed the docs* V.O: Great! So where you heading to? Me: Minnesota state Uni, mankato for a masters degree V.O: So why did you choose this program? Me: My strengths and motivation lie in the field of community health. I look forward to research work with Dr. Vick who we both have the same research interests. I will also take a research preliminary exam at the end of my program that will make me a certified health education specialist V.O: Nice!. Have you been here (embassy) before? *Me: Yeah. I see you have been to the US. Me:Yes I have, for my sis grad at Columbia Uni. V.O: gives an impressed smile. Me: shines teeth. V.O: how did you find the experience? Me: Excellent. I had a great time. V.O: So you finished what year? Me: 2013 V.O: What have you been doing? Me: Went for my Nysc. been working as a medical sales rep. V.O: Started chatting with me. since your program starts in august you cant enter till july.... dont forget the Educationusa predeparture. goodluck with your program. I will approve your visa Me: Thanks! Have a nice day
It was lets say 3mins but I was smiling all through and in the middle I knew I was gonna get approved but still stood my calm.
The V.O approved a woman who said her husband works as a gym instructor at punch newspaper. and he was like gym instructor and punch newspaper? how come? And she replied that he trains them during exercises and make them look fit But He approved. and he denied a man who is a supposed ''big man''. he asked him why he earns so much and never travelled but he couldnt explain well, he denied. Point is every case is unique. be honest and confident. And maintain a positive attitude. And pls dont CRAM. alot of folks sounded like they were doing tinsel auditions and obvs they got denied. OK for married couples, as they queued infront of the VO they were all lovey dovey, the only thing that remained was just for them to makeout , dont know if that helps but I noticed it.
In the course of my applications God made me meet people who helped me cross bumps I faced. I wanna thank Bigfrancis21 for all his help with my payments and also all the encouragements. a big thank you! This guy effortlessly made sure all my payments went trhrough and still email me to know progress. #selflessact To this great guy too, Fortissimo the mock interview on skype was really helpful. and my big big buddy, fizzile, right before I even booked my appointment, he always spoke positive words to my ears and last night gave me good drills on mock interview. He is a friend turned brother. Thank you. and other members I messaged at one point, purplesummer, aadeyi, sirridy (tanks for asking on my prep when you called) etc God bless you guys!. Thank you justwise for this thread! immensely helpful. Congrats bro. Am sooo soooo soooo happy for you. Had to tell my peeps that ur visa was approved and they were so excited. Am so happy for u, man. Though i planned we were gonna make it big at Minnesota State University, Mankato but as you know my admission didnt scale through. Notwithstanding, UK is just a year and i'll surely hook up with u in the States. All the best, man. idi toomuch...idi badddddd!!!!!! |

Yababoy: Hello Guys, it's been long I went through the UK Visa processes and I need some help please. I am going for a PG program in September 2016. I have already paid my tuition fees in full, secured my hostel accommodation (by experience, more comfortable due to proximity to school) and gotten my CAS letter. However, I remember that I also need to have a TB Test done. Can I be guided as to where this is being done? Can anyone that has gone for it advise me on how long it takes for this test to be out as I want to apply for the visa very early enough. Also on the IHS, will this be paid with the visa application fees or separately? The TB Test is done at Migration Health Assessment Centre, Lagos. No 5D, Reverend Ogunbiyi Street, Off Oba Akinjobi Way G.R.A. Ikeja - Lagos. If you are in Abuja, u will go to the abuja address. You will have to pay $130 (thats about 27k) to Standard Chartered Bank, Account name: International Organization for Migration, Bank Account: 0001847002, Sort Code: 068080017, Referece: Applicants Passport Number |

gunther6: Oga this whole thing reeks of desperation and hysteria. I really think you should take a step back from all this and analyse it dispassionately. Yes there is something inherently humiliating about the Visa process but you need to chill out mehn. If I were you I will take a break from all this, get my 'greek' money back and concentrate on graduating with an excellent CGPA afterwards I can always apply for grad studies in places better than the UK
fizzile I sight you Bro, you just hit the nail on the head. The dude should be patient and simply have a good GPA in his undergraduate and apply to US. Whats the need going for a 3month course that is not relevant to your field then come back and end up not using it. The ECOs are well trained and they can detect where you possibly lie or seem desperate. Well if he wants to try,no problem but he should not cause a situation where he will be put on red flag. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by fizzile(m): 11:24pm On May 24, 2016 |
diamondsare4eva: Now the case is showing some signs of desperation. What the ECO said is simple, why would you want to study Greek language in the UK? I believe you have a reason why you paid that much for a language that you can easily study online using Rosetta stone. Changing your program at this time will not really help your case. State why you want to study a foreign language in the UK and how that will help you in your academic pursuit. If your sponsor has been the one taking care of you, show them proof of your relationship with him/her. Provide records of their financial transactions not just bank statement, if they are business people, documents of business registration, what they do and how they generate money for their business. Know that its not just providing documents because they know that documents in Nigeria is readily available. My worry is of what relevance is Greek language to Nigeria? Even if u want to go into Academics, maybe to lecture Economics, which group of persons learn with greek in Nigeria. To me its not just relevant. Ok why UK when u could have possibly learnt greek from Greece. Why not go to greece and learn greek? |

So please be on the safe side use high rate when doing your calculations... this ppl are just finding different route to deny US... see attachment to what i am saying... ABEG OOO Take note.... Thats serious. Please what exchange rate do they use for academic visas? |

People come here and read well articulated transcripts and possibly benefit from those transcripts, but when its time to put up their own transcript they end up posting trash with lots of typographical error and expect someone else to benefit from such rubbish. how ungrateful !!!!! Didnt mention any name but i think some people need to grow. |

creamyworkz: Best bet, keep two Accounts, Gtb i'ld say is reliable, bt stanbic nd standard chartered have relatively cheaper exchange rates. i think for stanbic you can still get a pound around 430naira, while gtb has bout 454 or thereabouts. bt then if u can, moneygram save you some more cash. Well what i actually want to do is to pay in some money here in Nigeria then make use of it when i get to the UK. So i wanted to know which is cool. |
