Foreign currency purchases in Nigeria will be on

Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele

He said this will kick off the era of automatic
adjustment mechanism of the Naira-dollar rate
with the operation of a flexible interbank market
which shall also have primary dealers.
“There is one window and that is what is will be,:
Emefiele said while clarifying that there shall be
only one rate for the dollar going forward.
The governor said all the 41 items earlier banned
from access to foreign exchange .
According the governor non oil exporters will now
be allowed to sell their export proceeds on the
interbank market at the ruling rate.
He promised that the market will be transparent,

chigozieduru: Hi guys, I'm Chigozie and I'm already schooling here in the US but I'm quite in a dilemma. I just finished my third year and when the Fall semester starts in August I'll be in my final year. However I'm an orphan, lost the only parent I have and it's been hard to pay my tuition. I have a scholarship that covers half of the tuition but not all so I've been trying to find options. I work during normal semester and from there I pay bills like rent, food, & all those essentials. I've spoken to the intl. office but they are really tight on funds so they can't increase my scholarship at the moment. I currently have a back bill that needs to be paid before I can enroll for Fall.
Back to the main topic, I spoke with a female friend like me who's Nigerian whom I met through my flatmate and you guys won't believe what they told me. She said I would have to escort and it pays well she even introduced me to someone who says if I want to be an adult movie model then no problem. This my friend escort as well but I'm confused right now. Should I do it please? I just want others opinion. Thanks in advance guys x No be only excort,if e like make e be convoy or bouncers. Receive sense in Jisors Name!!! |

lazywriter: We landed around 3:15 PM, so did several other flights entering the US through Chicago O'Hare; the Airport was packed full.
As usual, I joined the non-immigrant queue about 20 minutes after landing. Like play like play, I spent 2 hours + on the queue before it got to my turn. During the wait, the sniffer dogs came to my box - in my mind I was like "ma lo koba mi o", but they didn't pick any scent.
So I walked up to this white man who just came back from his lunch break at the POE. I passed him my passport and my I20. He scanned my passport then asked where I was going, where I will be staying which I told him. I don't know if Oyinbos are allergic to Nigerian scent cause he just kept sneezing when he touched my passport, so did the two other ladies I gave my passport to in school.
After the questions, he stamped my passport and handed it back to me. Then off I went to find my luggages.
PS: if you need to find a bus/train station or something, mind who you ask. Na so I ask like five different people for Illinois Bus Terminal and they all told me the same WRONG thing which made me miss the bus I had booked from Naija. gunther6: I think they should just come out and tell us who bought Nigeria I'm thinking Dangote, The last CBN dollar allocation was $132 million dollars... Dangote and allied companies got nearly $50million , foreign investors seeking to repetriate profit got like $79 million... It is now at a stage where Nigerians cannot get a good deal in Nigeria...
Anyway my PTA hunt has been going nowhere, I sent $808 for #268,000 through MoneyGram yesterday to a friend in the states which according to the CBN is my allocation for 3 months... #Dollarhunt continues Dollar hunt is on the increase my brother. Tried paying my tuition via Form A but i wasn't allocated the total amount i applied for. Seems its best applying for something little, say $2000 or $3000 dollars or one can make payments in parts and not whole. The truth about scarcity is real..very real i must say. |

kemkem30: I have just tried to use form A for my fees.zenith advised we split the school fees into 3 and apply thrice that we stood a better chance that way. We received alert yesterday all three deducted at 292 for a pound. We are still expecting charges to be deducted though. This does not answer your question but I just thought to share my experience. I think it helped. I will call my bank this morning to suggest that. |

Whatamidoinghere: So, deposit using Form A, that means the money will go down a little, right? Yeh cos they will charge u based on the CBN rate but i will advice u to go to ur bank so dat they can make the calculation for you cos the bank will include their charges too. |
Travel › Re: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by fizzile(m): 4:46pm On Jun 09, 2016 |
Whatamidoinghere: Thanks a lot bro, I do really appreciate So, after paying the first deposit which is half of the tuition fee, can one prepare for travelling or its necessary paying all fees before heading. And is it possible, paying all fees at once instead of depoait half then pay rest later. After paying ur first deposit, u will have to complete the second deposit before enrollment when u get to the UK..then complete the third deposit something in January, depending on the school. If your payment is in two parts, u can pay the first deposit, then complete the rest later. Its all stated on your offer letter. If you have the full tuition, its better u just pay it and know that tuition is done. Most schools give some little discounts if u pay full. Atleast u could use the small discount and do some little things for yourself. Everything depends on your pocket. |

Whatamidoinghere: Actually, I don't know how to make use of the website. But, can you convert £11,600 and £9,315
Thanks £11,600 is about 3,326,970naira while £9,315 is about 2,671,610naira but if you are to pay your tuition especially with Form A, it won't be that amount cos the bank will pay at a slightly different rate cos they will take their charges aswell. But for the maintenance, thats what u will have to keep in your account for 28days but its advicable to add something little to it incase the rate increases a little bit. |

Whatamidoinghere: Is it possible to use Google in changing currency, like if you wanna know £500 in Naira, can someone make use of Google Do not use google. Just go to https://www.oanda.com/currency/converter/ . Thats the specified site by the home office. Go to the site, the put the value u want to convert then click the value u expect and u will see the outcome. |

obynwanyioma: Sup, have they processed your form A, will start mine next week, I heard it takes 2-4 weeks to process Yeah mine has been processed but I am still waiting for a response from the bank and the school. If you plead with them at the bank to help you process it on time, they will do it immediately. So u have to really plead with them so that they don't delay it. |

Whatamidoinghere: Does it applies to those who are asked to deposit part of school fees to the school?? And is there any other process except from this and how.
Thanks So far, that's the cheapest way at the moment. Its applicable to deposit aswell. U know u have to fulfill ur conditions on ur offer letter before your CAS is sent to you. |

(i know you'll want to work on getting here asap bt my brother my candid advice, forget about work totally until after ur first semester) all the best bro With reference to your second statement, which transaction do you mean specifically? Is it about maintenance fee? |
