BlueRayDick:Exactly, and which begs the question of, what is the use of keeping a lot of Fringe players without using them when it matters and doing so adequately? Come to think of it? non of our fringe player have played a complete match this season (correct me if am wrong). My point is knowing when to have all your players fit is the difference between success and failure in EPL. Honestly I will be so mad if we don't capitalize on Man Citys dwindling form this season, at lease lets give them a lot gap pending when they pick form towards the later stage of EPL. I genuinely hope he gets this sort out because the season is still long..o On a side note, bloated squad does not mean squad depth, players like Cedric to me are just occupying space, let them leave so that we can replace him with one of our academy player that will understudy Tomiyasu and Benny blanco, same can be applied will elneny. |
Hello Roland17 a penny for your thoughts? ![]() About Arteta's man management, what is your specific line of argument? Is it that he is not developing youngsters well enough i.e bringing out their potential? or he isn't rotating the team well enough to give space for rest for other first team players. My own opinion is that, he needs to do better with giving first team players rest, he needs to rotate the squad better so as to avoid, burnout, mental block or injury. On the aspect of mental block, I think that is what is affecting Martinelli-that final output. Otherwise, I think he was impressive yesterday IMO, he was causing defenders problem, but you see that "what to do with the ball in the end" that is where he is frustrating to watch. Saka has a better chance conversion than him, but I digress ![]() On the aspects of Arteta's player management, I am trying to see things from his perspective in the sense that, he thinks he is under pressure to win all games and as such he doesn't want to take chances by fielding in so much youngsters. There was a time I was furious with Wenger for always featuring youngsters in such a way that we were constantly bullied by the likes of Sheffield and Stoke city. However, if it is in the aspects of bringing out the potentials in a player, is it to early to commend Arteta for that? seeing that he was able to turn things around with Xhaka and about to do the same with Kai and Jorginho. In essence, all am saying is that, maybe he has the ability to develop potential but he thinks now is not the right time, as he needs to deliver. But on the aspects of Squad rotation I totally agree because asides Saka, Gabriel is another player that featured in almost all our matches. Those guys need rest so as to be available during the final stages where teams like Man City would be in mad form. Arteta needs to know that the league is won between March and April and we need all our squad to be fully fit by then. What say you? |
I Dey tell you, baba is patiently waiting for his flowers ![]() Roland17: |
No worries Spy. Jodera Dey introduction page of his apology essay..LMAO!!! |
Hervertz!!!!!!!!!! |
Todays game was frustrating sha. Brighton don wake up..o Them Dey exploit Ben White wing now. Also, Nketiah is useless up front. |
Omo! We need a second goal like right now. |
It seems Odegaard is in the mood to play today. Also, Saka has been impressive today. |
Raya Dey vex me with the way he holds the ball sometimes. |
Finally. This ref smoke Igbo sha. |
Roland17:Omo! I just want us to see off this game. We’ve been impressive all through, except that we have been wasteful/unlucky. |
Nketiah can be annoying sha. |
Roland17:You called it. Now we will be under unnecessary pressure. |
Lmao!!! Nawao!! Spy360, you are being rude as Bleep. Get a grip of yourself. |
IMO and from my stand point of view. Arteta was trying to push Ramsdale to be better, however he didn’t anticipate Ramsdale reaction to the decision. His intention was good but the execution was poor. So he did get it wrong. It will take until end of the season when Raya leaves for him to rectify his error. But until then, Ramsdale also need to buckle up and fight for his place. What Arteta needs to do is bring back some stability to our goal keeping position and that’s solely on Arteta. Arteta has 70% of the blame while Ramsdale has 30%. So yes, Arteta is at Fault here. Come to think of it, why not work on your Goal keeper directly in a gradual manner if you want some improvements to his game? Take Gabriel for example, Baba was known to be rash and aggressive but has improved his game immensely this season so what makes him think that Ramsdale can’t improve too, is it not by game time a player can improve? Why is Ramsdale not given the same amount of chances he gave to Havertz? I might not be a Stan of Arteta like I used to, in the previous seasons but I have to say this, he is biased in his player management, simple. If Arteta likes you, you are good in his eyes no matter what everyone else thinks, and if he isn’t sold on you, then he doesn’t care how hard you try, you won’t make his team. I guess that’s his own flaw, even though sometimes it turns out good for us, take for example the turn around of Xhaka. P.S na God save us for Saliba issue, if not na PSG or Madrid that guy go Dey play for by now. |
daveP:Well, I too, do miss him but not as much as I had thought in the beginning of this season. Yea, I agree with you, except that it was Xhaka who made Martinelli more threatening because he usually held on to the ball a bit to let him run behind defenders, I think those moves covered some of Martinellis weaknesses like not look ahead to detect free spaces or create clean chances for other players. Having said that, Rice has good work ethics, and stamina. I like when he makes those drive from midfield to oppositions half without losing possession. He does it so effortlessly and still have the stamina to run back to his position. Baba Dey ball Abeg. Kudos to him. Special shout out to Kai. He delivered today when we needed it. Top of the table baby. COYG!!! |
Rice is my Man of the match. The baba no Dey make us miss Partey. |
Ramsdale Dey do like person wey Dey inside poto poto. Make him sha no kill us today. |
We are bit fluid today and I’m loving it. |
Shey una Dey see passes wey Zinky Dey throw abi? Na why playing him in AM won’t be a bad idea. Now baba don score self. Well done and COYG!!!! |
Saliba!!!!!! Rolls Royce!! Baby!!! |
Jorginho na clown I swear. Na from him side them carry possession want go score us. Baba lost his man, and still had the nerve to be directing other players to do the marking. If not for Salibas intelligence, them for score. Baba thinks he is the best player in the pitch…Lmao!!! |
Rice is a big match player. |
Guy! this match don tire me. |
We’ve not been ruthless in our Attack. I need Nketiah to up his game. Nice one from star boy. |
Just a friendly reminder that Almunia was a useless goalkeeper. I’m just watching the derby highlights, baba drink goals not just goals but silly silly goals like water. Omo!!! I don to suffer for this club. We really deserve to have two world class keepers, it’s been a long time coming. |
I don’t like how Paul Mason is setting us up for dragging. Although I’m not going to lie, it feels good going into a derby match with so much confidence. Omo! If we win tomorrow, I go raise my shoulder up through out the day |
Roland17:I said something exactly like this last season. Trosaard plays mature football. No stress, just pure technique. |
Guy! Odegaard na baller! |
Finally. |
That’s it boys. Kill them! By the way, Rice na Baller. Gabriel’s hand was on his chest na! Someone should explain why he still deserves a yellow. |
