Those who are praising Odegaard are doing so because of fans like you that always see greener grasses in your neighbors yard. You wan start to dey twist like Shakira and turn Amala again? Where did I say or implied that? Odegard is good but not at the level of Madison. |

Also, I read some fans trying to gas up Odergard over Madison, Arsenal fans like self consoling or deluding a lot. ( We like to think we always make right decision)...
That Madison isn't on form now doesn't mean he won't pick up, or whenever he plays his team must win, must assist or give up good stats.
Again, let's see at by mid season or ending. |

Nuno espirito, thank God we no carry am I didn't hype him, I rate him good enough to take Arsenal up the ladder. How he unearthed quality players playing good Halal football with little or lesser budget... ObaIgwe1: Great, I cannot fault any part of your post and I don't think many here disagree with this.
So basically you have no problem with the defenders we bought, but wish we had gotten better midfielders, with a better AM instead of Odegaard right?
You mentioned Maddison, I kinda noticed he has been on a decline towards the end of last season, and since the start of this season, he has not completed 90mins in any match neither has he offered any fantastic return, no goal and no assist either.
I agree with you that our midfield needs revamp, Xhaka should be gone already, only the managers know what he does off-field that make them keep him. In many people's opinion, Lokonga should be selected ahead of him. Also we need a better AM, we can not complain of money, if we can afford 50m defender, we surely should be able to cough out 60-80M for a good AM, but the question is: Which better AM will agree to come to Arsenal that is not playing in Europe? I am not fully sold on Maddison in his current form, maybe Edu and Arteta also saw his decline; reason no formal bid was made for him... Give me another name apart from Maddison that will readily come to Arsenal, high price notwithstanding. I kinda fancy Nabil Fekir, though injury prone... Also, I think this is where those in charge of transfers are failing, there's a way teams like Leicester discovere talents, Everton are doing good business on that front.. For me, there are abundant talented players around Europe and Africa who can be signed for not so expensive fees. |

kokanepyramid: Going into last season and considering the situation with Ozil, I was expecting 3 midfielders at least. Partey, I was okay with Ceb partnering him then an elite AM in the mould of Maddison at least.
All these megedefegede signings that won’t walk into the starting line up are just a waste of time. It was the same formulae Emery did that made him tinker and tinker till everything turned upside down.
If Wenger is signing a player you already know what gap he’s there to close, Wenger’s period we had a starting line up, then he makes minor tweaks here and there depending on player availability and opponent. You see All these tinkering every match day is not for me, it’s a sign of cluelessness. I can categorically say we are the team that tinkers the most among the big 6 teams in EPL.
Reason I stopped watching our games since last season, I only watch serious teams, I was surprised when Roland17 started telling me about comparing someone with Mari, Mari that I don’t even know what he looks like In Arterta and Emery's defense, I want to say the club probably ain't ready to splash reasonable fee for an ideal signings that's the reason those coaches tinker with the megede and Academy graduates. Just my opinion o. |

BlueRayDick: Mehn, their midfield with Decoure and Allan is at the base is really solid.
As regards how promising their team is, truth be told in the past two years those guys have been making good deals in the transfer window. See them parading Gray, Townsend, Rondon, Dacoure and other EPL tested players and showing great promises.
This is what I've been advocating for a while now, Arsenal just park money to transfer market ; but any random player that plays whatever position we are looking to fill, yet we abandon such players that are available in the league playing for smaller teams but doing really well.
Despite the money Ancelloti made them spend before he bolted, Everton still spent this transfer window to further improve the team. That's how to plan for the future and not the nonsense Edu and that Vini-whatevwr are doing at arsenal In fact you spoke my mind on their transfer deals, 100% agreed and on point. When I saw Gray and Townsend up top, I envy them o. They reminded me of when Utd were bringing in Maguire, AWB and Fernandez, now they are icing it with Varane, Sancho and CR7( who you regarded as atleast 20 goals a season player). Btw, English commentators sabi sha, He said Townsend not a great goal scorer but scorer of great goals. |

BlueRayDick: Anybody seeing this Everton vs Burnley match? The Dacoure pass to Gray in the build up to the third goal; that's exactly how one would expect Xhaka to be playing forward passes instead of holding on to the ball unnecessarily and trying to shield the ball to win fouls.
Play a pass into space and allow Ur attackers make a run for it That game is end to end, I love the energy from both side. This Everton side look promising, they never even introduce James, in times like this, I envy Everton fans...see the stadium bubbling.. Chai. oh my Arsenal. |

ObaIgwe1: On the other side of the coin is that Norwich also came fighting very hard. We had a number of close scoring opportunities not converted; two by Auba, another by ESR and even Saka wasted another opportunity that could have led to a goal. Norwich also had 2 very close opportunities though.
Let me just say Norwich did all they had to do, it was a tensed battle, but thank God we came on top. The way Norwich fought and lost honorably is what I expected from our matches with Chelsea and City. Yes, maybe games are now more intensed than it used to be, Same Norwich defeated city 2 yrs ago. That "fighting hard" thing has been an issue for long at Arsenal, I don't know if its the manager's fault here or the players are just plain weak,soft and lazy. |

Nairaland General › Putting These Principles In Practice Will Make The World A Better Place To Live. by Fkhalifa(op): 10:24pm On Sep 08, 2021 |
1. Don’t call someone more than twice continuously. If they don’t pick up your call, presume they have something important to attend to;
2. Return money that you have borrowed even before the person that borrowed you remember or ask for it. It shows your integrity and character. Same goes with umbrellas, pens and lunch boxes.
3. Never order the expensive dish on the menu when someone is giving you a lunch/dinner.
4. Don’t ask awkward questions like ‘Oh so you aren’t married yet?’ Or ‘Don’t you have kids’ or ‘Why didn’t you buy a house?’ Or why don't you buy a car? For God’s sake it isn’t your problem;
5. Always open the door for the person coming behind you. It doesn’t matter if it is a guy or a girl, senior or junior. You don’t grow small by treating someone well in public;
6. If you take a taxi with a friend and he/she pays now, try paying next time;
7. Respect different shades of opinions. Remember what's 6 to you will appear 9 to someone facing you. Besides, second opinion is good for an alternative;
8. Never interrupt people talking. Allow them to pour it out. As they say, hear them all and filter them all;
9. If you tease someone, and they don’t seem to enjoy it, stop it and never do it again.
10. Say “thank you” when someone is helping you.It encourages one to do more and it shows how appreciative you're;
11. Praise publicly. Criticize privately;
12. There’s almost never a reason to comment on someone’s weight. Just say, “You look fantastic.” If they want to talk about losing weight, they will;
13. When someone shows you a photo on their phone, don’t swipe left or right. You never know what’s next;
14. If a colleague tells you they have a doctors' appointment, don’t ask what it’s for, just say "I hope you’re okay". Don’t put them in the uncomfortable position of having to tell you their personal illness. If they want you to know, they'll do so without your inquisitiveness;
15. Treat the cleaner with the same respect as the CEO. Nobody is impressed at how rude you can treat someone below you but people will notice if you treat them with respect;
16. If a person is speaking directly to you, staring at your phone is rude;
17. Never give advice until you’re asked;
18. When meeting someone after a long time, unless they want to talk about it, don’t ask them their age and salary;
19. Mind your business unless anything involves you directly - just stay out of it;
20. Remove your sunglasses if you are talking to anyone in the street. It is a sign of respect. Moreso, eye contact is as important as your speech; and
21. Never talk about your riches in the midst of the poor. Similarly, don't talk about your children in the midst of the barren.
22.After reading a good message try to say "Thanks for the message".
APPRECIATION remains the easiest way of getting what you don't have.... #Culled randomly from Facebook. |

Spy360: So if you are made Arsenal's TD, you will make Haaland, Bernardo, Vinicious, and probably Lukaku, Mbappe etc to sign for us?

Bros wake up, you're still dreaming.
On a more serious note, forget it. It's a general management principle to first strengthen defense before attack. Especially when you have fairly above average attackers. It's cheaper, easier, more sensible, more long term, and more achievable. After that, focus can then be given to attack.
That's exactly what the club is doing, and they are on the right path. Next season with Lacazette and say Nketiah off, the club can then bring in two or three high profile attackers. Hopefully then, we would be in a good position to negotiate and attract them. Happy Sifia pains in advance, May God spare our lives till then, I'll so troll ehn. But, my stance is Arsenal are 90% not making Europa this season. |

Spy360: The annoying thing self is the calibre of players you mention as if they will upgrade us. Bros if you really want to build our attack biko look for other options. I know Arsenal won't spend, so I came down to a realistic level. Arsenal won't get Halland, Bernado and Vinicious, but Arsenal can get those I mentioned to START with or patch things up till they can get funds through proceeds from European competition. IMO, Maddison,Countinho and Draxler has a higher chance of taking Arsenal back to Europa at the end of the season than this present attack. |
