If the season ends like this, it will be seen as remarkable success especially knowing where we are coming from. You will say this is mediocrity, but I'll say it's not being stupid. if you read comments on front page the day he was sacked, you'll see how many are of the firm opinion that Nuno is a good coach who found himself in an unfortunate situation, a lot opined how he wasnt given time, given his players etc.

it does not still change the fact that he is a good coach who made wolves a fearless team beating all the top teams, discovering quality players and played a kind of football I liked. mind you, i wouldn't agree he played defensive football, I saw his side coming out to attack and score likes of city and Chelsea.
That he wasn't given time, or didn't work out at spurs doesn't change sincere minds opinion about him and that can be evidenced on the front page comments.

Truth be told, the bulk of the older generation Arsenal fans I have encountered are very unhappy with this distasteful level of mediocrity. Infact, many have either moved on to other teams or have flat out stopped watching Arsenal. The rot we are suffering today did not start today, it evolved over time and I would hate to bore you. As for now, while I agree that ownership is a big problem, coaching is very poor and it is evident everyday. The younger generation who are enamored by statistics make it difficult for many to see the current rot and how mediocre this team is. They exaggerate irrelevant stats that make many see progress but in reality, regression when stacked against other teams.

Sequel to a post I read few days ago on Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo) celebrating his 62nd years birthday, A guy made a comment on how Ogogo snubbed him when he stood up to greet him after briefing about him to his friends. He felt embarrassed and stopped watching his movies.
