Let's tell every team out there that the era of Banter is gone, this team means business, starting tomorrow. I dey vex, we are winning, I'm not scared again.. My take on the matter is that the initiator might have good intention of engaging the Muslims to do beautiful recitations... But, our people turned it to what one can support its condemnation..
Most of the recitations are not correct, no pause/stop, some turned it to a joke, some used it as opportunity to show off especially the ladies.
It could have made sense if channeled the proper way. |

.... I remember when I used to defend Ozil on Justarsenal forum like my life depended on it. We need this and that to help him regain his form and be blazing again but my eyes became clear last season and I respected myself. Still, I saw a difference in his play during the pre-season, he was willing to play especially during the Bayern match in the US. There was hope there and if he brings that to the field this season in the EPL, I will support him regardless of last season's debacle. That's how sane people behave and the reason I respect Baba Ray despite our conflicting opinions.
... As regards Mr Jerry Curl and his over zealous critics I am done oh. There's no salvation in sight. I pray you resist the urge to indulge them as sometimes they have no shame in lying just to get a reaction from some of us like a post up there blaming Burnley's goal on the lad. All trolling in the end. Kokane surprised me the most, I used to look forward to reading his post,Those days, he was among the few here who gave correct view on Giroud, he just turned something else, I enjoy how he trolls rivals but not when hw does to his own team. As much as Ozil frustrates, some part of me wants him hit top form, after all its for the teams progress.. Even Nelson who I feel isn't Ready to replace Iwobi, I'm willing to be patient to see what he'll do. As for Mr Jerry curl, everything is negative about the boy, they are Waiting for Saturday and all bad days to dissect the boy. solomonbrown64: ..... Imagine the hate. Was it not Ceballos that was wasted in midfield, the Burnley player dribbled him so bad that he was glued to the ground before he made that deflected pass. Luiz failed to track his man, Nelson lost possession that led to the counter in the first place and the one player who tried to prevent the goal is the one who gets the blame .... This is ridiculous on all levels.
... Una go tire anyway, Arsenal has seen his "recycling job and blatant giveaways and side way passes" and has deemed it fit to reward his efforts for a new bumper contract. Una go tire last last. Honestly, the thing tire me,I think I'm done on that issue with them.. Even Baba blueray commends some aspects and points out his weak areas.. To them, "he does nothing", I hate him" he on the bench is a curse to the team bla bla bla.. The day I finally gave up was when Kokane still found a way to bring in Guen away at wolves last season, we were 3-0 down at half time with Xhaka/Torreira in middle, he said " your team is shyt when you have Guen on the bench" he saw nothing wrong with the way wolves dissected us from the midfield, Guen and Nketiah came we scored a consolation..and he rewarded him with hate again.. Same at Anfield, Even the Chelsea games we played in the league with Guen, we had a decent show and score..3-2 and 2-0 Europa final, Chelsea finished us 3-0 with Xhaka/Torreira, Guen,Iwobi and Willock came we scored and looked like we wanted to score. I'm not discrediting Torreira, he his new, young and does well, I'll always protect him. But ma niqqas still had to find a way to bring Guen to how we conceded and played poorly. Its very shameful, you see rival fans come here and laugh at those their talks.. Over 70% fans wanted him here after his first year,Emery and Arsenal wants him here, the pundits and legends are backing him, so Goodluck to the few who wants to be in sifia pains. |

kokaneprodigy: It was you who said Emery’s style is not possession based that it is direct attack with pacy wingers.
So How does Guen’s play style of unnecessarily holding on to the ball, taking several touches before releasing a pass or the fact that he most times returns pass to the originator help this Emery’s style of play attackwise.?
Defensewise Guen doesn’t do much. So what does he bring to the tactics other than boring me with his age. Ohk, All you see Guen do is hold the ball too long and pass it back to the originator? The times he was finding Pepe on the wings nko? The driving runs and passes he was putting behind defenders for our full backs? I understand your case, its just like asking an average Arsenal fan you see out there what Xhaka and Mustafi brings to the tactics. |

solomonbrown64: ..... That's the ish bro... I don't just get the complaints... The full squad isn't fully used yet, we had two teenagers starting both matches of the season and yet we are 2nd of the table, people are complaining. The days of Possession and counter attacking sole kind of identity are gone. Guardiola's game has evolved from soft tiki - tika to direct football and now they are very aggressive with smart tactical fouls whenever a team is trying to build something. It's just how football is; you evolve. Now, Liverpool don't press as hard as they used when they play the lower teams but come out in full throttle against the top 6 because Klopp now knows going full throttle all season isn't feasible.
.... There are games we will aim to control and there are games we will come in to counter the other team's style. We are still a team in transition, one season won't change decades of Wenger's style and imprint in the team. Fancy football and Identity is good and we will get there but now it's all about results. We need to qualify for the Champions League, that's priority number 1 for this season, everything else is secondary. I already know what some are driving at, to them, it is Guendozi who isn't making the game flow, that he adds nothing.. I even saw some wanting us to lose so they come in here to say I tell you, immediately the lineup came up on sat, its like they were so sure we'll lose and were waiting for final whistle but were disappointed, so they resorted to we played bad and got lucky.. They are waiting for Saturday, so Liverpool can give them say, But they have forgotten Vidal,Rakitic and Busquet couldn't add anything to Barca's attack nor defence that day... Now get me clear.. Guen's profile says he's a DM/CM, he isn't the type that based his game on scoring or assisting... Majorly, he helps in getting the ball from the back, recycle the ball around, get it to players in advanced position like AM, full backs and wingers to do the attacking job, Also helps out in defense, by interceptions, tacklings, pressings and closing players down. Though he doesn't have the physical frame to do some jobs, but he never hides, shy nor fear getting into duels..it is hoped with time, he'll muscle up and improve in other areas... On Emery, he already stated the style he wants to play, the materials pa Wenger left can't do Jack, he's been clearing them out,and bringing in his, with time, our football will get better, you can't expect it in game2. Forget Pa Wenger's era, teams don't pack bus and budday again, they sigh quality players and get at you, teams go at Chelsea, Utd and Spurs to, Even city and l.pool, the only diff is their forwards are far more clinical than rest of us. kokaneprodigy: You are missing the point if u think any critic is talking about score line.
The argument is based on how we are playing and how are the deployed tactics creating scoring opportunities and dominating games. You don’t have to even score to dominate a game.
There’s nothing spectacular with the way we’ve played so far as a team, those last two games we won were games we could have easily earned a point or even lost. A lot of peeps couldn’t wait to hear the final whistle.
You can win a game 1-0 and still be dominant cos u really pressed the opponent, created lot of scoring chances but were unfortunate not to get more than a goal. I can live with that.
With Emery if Auba and Laca didn’t turn up we would hardly score compared with Wenger days where you see goals from anybody on the pitch due to his tactics. What would Emery have achieved with a striker like Giroud that could decide to go weeks without a goal?
Then even Xhaka was a goal threat these days he’s a shadow of himself.
What we are saying is, his approach is not sustainable it’s just a matter of time what happened 2nd half of last season repeat itself when u face teams in the bottom half fighting to avoid relegation. He wants to play from the back and use 4 3 3, with this, check top teams using this tactics, 80% of their goals and assists come from the front 3 and the Ams.. City's goals come from Sterling, Aguero,Silva andSane Liverpool...Sallah, Mane and Firmino PSG, Neymar, mpabee and Cavani Barcelona... Messi,Suarez and Neymar/Dembele At Arsenal, we don't have a specialist LW, Auba and Iwobi just dey try and Nelson is still learning We have noTop RW....Auba tries there, mhicky isn't it,Nelson still forming and Pepe is new.. We have none at AM, Ozil and Mhicky have passed their prime, thanks to Cebbalos but still new. So I feel in few weeks time, we'll be better on that front, We would have sorted CF,RW and AM... Tierney will help us from the left. |

Like some people here will say, Trophies are everything, so are 3 points.. We haven't won our first 2 games in 10 years, we did and some still want to squeeze Guendozi and Emery's head. Shameful! There's a reason Bpl is the biggest and toughest league in the world, gone are those Wenger days where teams outside top4 are easy wins with possession.. You expect Newcastle and Burnley to respect Arsenal by not coming at us or leaving space for us to attack.. Have you all forgotten Newcastle was last team city lost to and even dropped points against before Spurs this last sat? The same Burnley held chelsea fighting for UCL at the bridge and won their first game 3-0... We should understand we do not have our full and standard 11 yet.. Bellerin,Holding,Tierney and Luiz are still to be integrated as the season progress.. Torreira is coming gradually,Guen didn't do much pre season and he is partnering with unfamiliar bodies, Willock and Nelson are new to the system. Cebbalos and Pepe are still understanding the culture here ... Why not chill a bit, by October, the team would have oiled, for now 3 points is what matters, no one cares about bossing the games.. Only city and Liverpool boss teams Here and even in Europe, l.pool even struggled at Southampton, they could have lost.. Individual efforts is part of the game, there are games you see Messi,Ronaldo,Neymar,Hazard,Sanchez,Sterling, Henri,Sallah and many more where their individual brilliance saves the day.. Auba did it for us And thats incredible, there's a reason we spent fortune on him, Even Pepe's individual brilliance made lille runners up with Lille. |

Xhaka... Torreira... Guen

Idea is to choke the middle to deal with Liverpool press, and leave speedsters upfront to hazzle their defence. Ceballos who is skillful and can see a pass is tactically placed behind Pepe and Auba.
2-3 We win. This will be good for 2nd half around 65th minute, that's if we leading or drawing the game, Starting that means our wings will be exposed.. Liverpool play more from wing than middle. |

...Lol, Sokratis was there when Firmniho headed in the ball last season or was it Mane? He was also beaten by Sallah which caused a penalty but you are right, partnering him with Chambers isn't wise but I am still not convinced about our heading abilities. We allowed Burnley players to head the ball mostly undisturbed in our box last game. Let's hope things change in the next game. Liverpool didn't score headers against us, 2 penalties, firmnno slicing our defense, another look away goal and tap in for Mane... Niles,Monreal, Torreira have to be very solid and ready for battles . Burnley are arguably the no1 team on air in the league, we are always gon struggle against them. Liverpool is by energy and pace, our back 5 were to slow and weak for them last time, Iwobi and Niles were the only ones causing them problems, Auba was isolated, Ramsey struggled, Xhaka and Torreira didn't know what hit them, but we looked better when Laca came on. We need laca and pepe to be very sharp, Auba's pace and cebaloss creativity.. Everyone else to the back, just defend and get the ball to those forwards. |

solomonbrown64: .... Lol, I don't think it will be a cricket score but while we have not clicked yet, Emery now has a better squad and a very important player in Ceballos who is good in bringing the kind of moves Emery was known for at Sevilla. Forcing teams to come at them and then creating counter attacking moves through vertical play. I saw a glimpse of that on Saturday and I was impressed. Ceballos is key to anything we can get from that game.
..... We made lots of mistakes from that game last season and thank God some of the culprits won't be playing next weekend. Liverpool will be wary of our attack too so I expect them to be cautious. We are getting better at beating the press which is encouraging but the real test will be this week.
... The only thing I fear is our failure to head out balls in our last game. Guendouzi shys away from that, so did Sokratis. Monreal and at times Luiz were the ones heading the balls out. It was annoying and that is where Xhaka comes in and Chambers too. It's a dicey situation regarding people that will start that game. Robertson and Arnold are amazing with pin point crosses but if we fail to head out as we did against Burnley, we will be in trouble as Van Dirk, Matip and Firmniho are dangerous in the air. Chambers is too slow for Anfield, Sokratis can beat firmino on air, luiz can battle it with Matip and V.dijk, We can cope with their crosses, the only thing I fear is their power and pace.. To stop Sallah, just choke all spaces to run at, Mane is almost unstoppable. Guendozi can hold and calm possession in the middle, but won't cope with their energy and pace ... Anfield isn't for xhaka, Torreira and Niles/luiz would have been the best option but they are untested. |

BlueRayDick: What are u even saying?
When has qualifying for champions league become a trophy? Arsenal has been qualifying for aons and nothing to show for it. Spurs qualified last season and got knocked out in the finals. If course you know runners up doesn't count as trophy.
Qualifying for UCL in England in is like a trophy and success in recent times, Mourinho even attested to this, it may sound funny but that's the fact, when asked from fans to choose FA cup or top4 last year, many Arsenal fans voted for top4. In pa Wenger's time, top4 was easier, we now have top6. With the level spurs are, reaching UCL final with those memorable nights on their way there,is a success and like a trophy.
Wetin concern me with budget? When arsenal was qualifying for champions league with low budget shebi na una still dey call for the head of the coach
You talk about taking advantage of their injury, like seriously? A season we lost our best CB in holding, we lost our RB and some other key players in the course of the season, u are talking about we taking advantage of their injury.....How They had injuries also, they resorted to academy boys, fatigue and all, they bottled it severally but couldn't take advantage.
If u believe they are top level, good for you. As far as I'm concerned, tge metrics which has been used to measure arsenal's failure/success in the past few years; trophies is the same I've used for spurs and they are mediocre like arsenal at the moment. Let them win carling sef and I will rate them. You can only start using trophies this year, they are competiting with heavy spenders in England. |

Except u just want to say u enjoy good football and that's what makes a team a top level team. Then I won't have problem with Ur personal standard of judging top teams. What I'm trying to say is that, everyone understands and expect Arsenal, utd,l.pool city and Chelsea to make top4..This is so because historically, we've been the giants in England and till date we invest the most..Tottenham came and began to displace some of us and/or even eliminate us from cup games..for their standard they've done okay, it'll be unfair to tag them failure.. But now, they've started competing with us in player signing, they even flexed muscle with us on Coutinho ceballos,Saliba, £65 on Ndombele lo ceslo et al. Now poch's got no excuse.. With injuries and suspensions, We would have surrendered top4 and get done by Dortmund in last 16, were we to be in their position. If qualifying for UCL in England via the log and getting to UCL final( with thier budget, history ,injuries and all) isn't top level performance then I give up |

sod09: they are lasan since they all judged arsenal tropyless, they should win trophies too if they want to feel like a big club. LFC were lasan until last season Arsenal's got history, after Liverpool & utd we are the next big thing in England, so they expect us up there... If we can pull what spurs did to city in UCL knockout and yesterday against them, then we can face any team in Europe with confidence.. A barca fan was telling me the pressure city mounted on spurs yesterday could have resulted to a cricket score, he even doubted barca can survive and praised Tottenham's energy. |

sod09: bros I said since wengay days Let's compare their total net spend on players Pa Wenger's regime spent far more than spurs. |

sod09: Tottenham is ordinary, I wonder how pundits in England live with their hypocrisy. This so called spurs have been spending and yet no trophy to show but they tagged wengay trophy less man until he won 3 fa cups in 4 season with community shields they even branded those trophies spoons. I wonder what will happen here next week if arsenal eventually defeat Liverpool Which spending? They didn't by pin last year and they got to the highest stage in European football last year.. Based on their history and transfer budget, no one expects them to win a trophy or get to UCL, but after this summer and the statement they made last year, you can start judging them by top4 and trophies. |

BlueRayDick: The thing just dey wonder me. I just dey observe all this loserpool debate since yesterday o.
See Tottenham lásán standing up to almighty man city in their dreaded home ground yesterday as if nothing dey happen.
Even the loserpool team hasn't even been at their best in recent times. Tottenham is not lasan and you know it.. I understand not many Arsenal fans will swallow their pride and admit the top level spurs are in recent times |

solomonbrown64: ..... Playing for the counter is inviting pressure too and Pepe who will be instrumental for that to work isn't match fit yet. You are right, Torreira is decent in beating the press same with the youngsters but it takes superior skills to beat the press as shown by Ceballos.
.... I remember how compact we were against a high pressing Chelsea side where we won 2 - 0 last season. If we can be that disciplined, it could help us. I will be looking forward to how Emery will set the team. For hardworking midfielders, we have able men there. We need to win the midfield that's why I am advocating for 3 at the back. 3 at the back will get us raped, Sallah will have lots of space down the left, kola won't track back, Auba can't defend..Arnold and Sallah will have a field day on that wing. |
