Pass me I pass you football all again, the only ball driving/playing is gone.. Nelson bullied left and right this ain't bundesliga or America all stars... The defense have been fairly okay, like I've been reiterating, its a matter of time they crack, when your forward fails to bury chance and your midfielder kept loosing the ball.
BTW, Xhaka don start again this year, so early.. Issokay o.

I wouldn't say I no dey fear right now... You go fear klopp football Comments from fans says Liverpool's defence have been shaky. But thier attackers have done it in 45minutes... Hopefully, we blow teams away early like them, I can't watch another pass pass pass pattern of trying to break defence of those lower teams. |

Jodera: All the examples you gave are really true. It happens to great footballers, so we can't use that against a footballer, except if such a player consistent does such a mistake. To your second question, that's where Iwobi suppose to come into play. The season is long and hard. But then, we've to look at the board point of view also...ozil and mkhi won't be easy to sell, unlike iwobi, and we need to strengthen. The money can easily be recouped, and once ozil and mkhi are sold, I believe the wage bill will be restructured. I feel if ozil and mkhi were really disposable, iwobi wouldn't have gone. Sorry I digress. Back to your question, I feel Nelson is there. He should see this as an opportunity to grab his spot. If he fails, then it's solely his fault, and no one to blame for that. Saka should also be introduced towards end of matches to give him exposure and experience. Little min like that plus cup and Europa games will give him the needed exposure and confidence Hmmmm Good luck to Nelson,Saka and Fans. |

Jodera: To be fair to iwobi. That's was the only match I can vividly remember where he was easily dispossessed and using that 1 match isn't enough evidence that he's not good enough 1 on 1. Every footballer normally do have an error leading to goals even great footballers, so it's not fair to use that one match in saying he's not good in beating defenders or creating avenue for chances. We all watch matches last season and at least I know he's normally good(even the best ) in driving our team forward. Auba was dispossessed against in Europa final for the 2nd goal.. Lacazzete...At Stamford bridge. Ozil..Loss to utd in Fa cup.. Torreira...against Fulham, Liverpool and wolves... They are fans favorite and are should be untouched.. BTW, I want to ask, who do we look to change the game from the bench for us this year? |

Marcelini: We need good squad depth to challenge Liverpool or City. We were all angry with Iwobi being a starter, but we all know he is a good squad depth player. Liverpool has Shaquiri, Chamberlain, Lallana for squad depth. Those are experienced EPL players and not untested academy Boys.
Selling Iwobi doesn't look that good. Especially when we didn't even buy an upgrade on the left wing position. Keep him for squad depth, Ozil and Mkhitharyarn are useless and can't contribute much. Iwobi created more chances for us last season than both and his salary is good value for what he provides.
We only weakened our team selling Iwobi and putting hope on Nelson who had a failed loan at inferior Bundesliga, and did not in anyway look impressive against weak opponents in the pre season. Nelson cant dribble past his first marker, something Iwobi provides you with, and his finish isn't better than those of Iwobi. How much did Liverpool spend to buy Shaquiri to sit on their bench for squad depth? Why did they not promote an untested academy boy instead? This Iwobi sale was more about finance than football reasons, and it doesn't bode well for the future. Just when we thought we were going to start seeing a brutal Arsenal going all out to dominate in football, they went and pull off this bullshit. The only way this Iwobi sale will make sense is if we replaced him with Zaha. But that didn't happen. So again, it was all about balancing the account books. That's ma niqqa As it stands, We have a v.good starting 11, but a big hole on the LW, Iwobi leaving isn't the issue, but relying on those 2 guys stealing living and untested kids makes it a big worry. Soarez or Zaha, in fact I don't even mind Fraser at this point. You are right, our bench is weak and we lack depth, let's ask ourselves, can any of out bench players start at wolves and Watford? The good part of it is by January or next summer, this new regime will address it unlike the pa Wenger days. |

It wasn't his choice mate but that of the management. It's not because they are that good or even half the player Iwobi currently is, it's the offer that came in for him.

In fact, we can not make any conclusive argument against the physicality of Nelson, Martinelli, and Saka because we have not actually watched them in the EPL in comparison to Iwobi whom I can make a conclusive argument against using your variable. Ahhhh Uncleeeeee Rolandiiii Iwobi can be everything but not a jelly on the ball, he's hardly dispossessed, he may lose the ball in dribble attempts, but not shoved, In fact he along with laca are our most comfy players on the ball. |

solomonbrown64: ...... No worries, people will say Nelson scored 7 goals during his loan spells but won't see that he lacks in several other areas, Saka is even worse, same with Martinelli, they have zero experience. Look at Willock, see how Emery guided and slowly blended him in the team without pressure, today he is doing it against big teams but it won't be the same for Nelson and co. They will be thrown straight into the deep end and they are yet to show they are even remotely ready.
...... They will be bullied, even a 6'2 striker is always bullied and I was shocked with how Christensen bullied and Manhandled Lacazette the other day, talk more of light weight teenagers. Anyway, it will be Mkhi and Auba starting there most of the times, those leeches have to earn their money regardless. Everything is not stat I keep saying, Mustafi with all the shinny stat, wetin we gain? Nelson is very not ready, he isn't even starting in England U21s, his goals in bundisleaguedown are what any teenager can score, his general game play hasn't improved, he side and back a lot for a winger, he can improve anyways but physically and mentally? He isn't ready.. Christensen is even better, I cringed when I saw Lindelof used one arm and waist to clear Auba off the ball, the last time we fielded teenagers in a big game, we lost 8-2... Auba or mhicky on that LW means Tierney will suffer what kola and monreal suffered, in fact opposition will have field day on that wing. |

.... Iwobi once said that he would move if we get Zaha but he had no idea that Reiss Nelson and co will be the ones to send him packing. Regardless, 40m is too good to pass up. It's a thing of pride though to become our record sale. I wish him success at Everton and I hope for his own sake that he improves on his weaknesses. Roland17: Upon further research, he was signed for 3 years, however, the 3rd-year option is retained by Arsenal. So that means if Arsenal picks up the 3rd year option he can be fired before or during the 3rd year and Arsenal don't have to compensate Emery. I think that is where the discrepancy about the duration comes from. So technically his contract is binding for 2 years and Arsenal makes a decision about a third which it retains. Histrory says Emery does much better in his 2nd seasons at new club since 2009.. Let's back him, he'll do well. |

sod09: honestly we dont need him We need him bro, I'm thinking about the future Suppose we get him, he is 25/26 yrs.. Coutinho, cebaloss, iwobi, pepe, lacazete,Nketiah,Nelson and Saka can lead our attack for next 6 years.. It means we are done with purchasing or spending fortune on attacking players over the next 5yrs. Their wages won't cost much, pepe is on 90,000, coutinho won't get more than 250,000, cebalos and iwobi will earn fairly and our teenagers won't give much prob.. Mhicky and ozil earn close to £500.000,and can't do it at this stage in England anymore. Countinho's style can make a difference in a game.. He can single handedly dribble his way in, curl the ball in, shoots with both foot from any distance and free kicks A match winner he is. City& Liverpool are example, despiye not signing any major attacker, they still have the best front in the league, they've done the business 2 years ago, we can do ours now. let's face the truth, ozil and mhicky can't do it for us, They'll have 7 great games, another 18 average games and go missing, injured for 7 games and goes hiding for another 7 games.. This can be evidenced from the past 2 seasons, they couldn't man the team to beat Atletico& Chelsea nor even the last 7 games in the league.. We had to rely on Auba/lava for goals, Laca conditioned his game as a 7,11,8/10 and 9..he does everything upfront.. Let's ask ourselves, suppose we have this scoreline at old Trafford Man Utd 2- 1Arsenal at 80th minute with utd packing the bus, who would you want behind your forwards among Coutinho,Mhicky,Iwobi and Ozil to save the day? As for the defence, with good tactics, strategies and support from midfield, top4 and a trophy is possible, Also we can strengthen them in the next windows. |

Dreamswayne: Liverpool play their full backs at very high line...
It's not a bad tactics when you have guys like Wijnaldum, Fabinho and Milner all waiting in the middle to stop counters...
But when you have liabilities like Xhaka or a not too good DM like Torreira shielding the defense when the Full backs are overlapping...
You are asking for trouble...
I hope we do something about this by next year...
Our goals conceding is mainly because of the full backs and Midfield... Not the center backs...
If you bring out Mustafi's stats, you would see that he outshines VVD...
does that makes him better?? NO!!
VVD doesn't need to do much because his midfielders are all workaholics in shielding the defense...
While our defenders here have to always be involved in defensive duties due to insane pressure from opposition attackers...
You'll now see something like
Tackles:
Mustafi: 72
VVD: 43
The main problem is from the midfield and full backs...
And no Pacy wingers to counter in case the opposition starts dominating through the wings...
Your views? This is the truth, it is even more lovely you didn't jump on bandwagon of Torreira and Mustafi.. That Liverpool midfield trio are runners, they track you down and defend from the front, they run for 90+ minutes, ours stroll, jug and walk all day, unfortunately, our fans see running as activity forming or headless chicken.. When you rely on fullbacks for creativity, you are done, ozil, mhicky only do well againsy teams that gives us space to operate or go less physical against us, against hard English side, they will side/back pass or try to walk the ball in the net and that calms opposition defense.. There's energy and pace everywhere at Liverpool, even Old Milner will run and bully our middle. If we can get coutinho, Our attack is solved for the next 5/6 years, we can be chilling in transfer markets and only focus on young talents in and outside the club. |
