OyoTunjiUSA: A phone call is always faster and more hands-on than an email. A different passport number from a DS160 Application and/or MRV will not be processed. For all intent and purposes, the VO is supposed to deal with it that something sinister may be afoot. No VO will knowingly become liable for a variance in something that important. That 'wrong' passport number is real and belongs to someone else who may be on an FBI Watchlist or in UK or Russia or Afghanistan or even waiting on his/her interview appointment at USinNigeria too. |

Serendipity2023: You honestly need mental evaluation and probably commitment to a psyche ward. Your comment and topics all over NL is filled with so much bitterness and hate. If you suffered a bad experience with your choice of men in your past relationship(s), you should seek help. ACTUAL HELP. Not Tiktok Affirmation and Mantras of all these Nonsense Self-Love BS online. Go to an actual health institution and see a trained and licensed Therapist, Psychologist or Psychiatrist. And I also think its time the Mods pay close attention to your rants because you are not contributing CONSTRUCTIVELY to society, whether on NL or in Real Life. 1 Like |

writetopoka: When we get comfortable to publicly share things people are afraid to even do in secret, then the society has lowered the bar so much it is in the mud. Nigeria and Nigerians have to do better. You are not supposed to have 2 birth certificates. Even if the original is lost or damaged, you can only be issued a CTC. This is the only legal option, according to Nigerian Law (NPC). (1st forgery) Also, you are not supposed to have 2 marriage certificates. Even if the original is lost or damaged, you can only be issued a CTC. This is the only legal option, according to Nigerian Law. (2nd forgery) Your Uncle (cousin's dad) is NOT your Father. Filling legal documents - saying he is - that you will sign at the end declaring all information is true and you haven't perjured yourself is very ILLEGAL. (3rd forgery). You are even jeopardising your wife and maybe your childrens' options in the future when they will need to apply for themselves because they will be tied to the names on these documents you have procured. The truth is you may not need all these maneuvering you are doing. Your profile, a dose of confidence, God, and a level headed VO may get your visa approved, but everyone is too fixated on providing 'supporting' documents for US Visa Application or Interview. Once again, it is unnecessary and irrelevant. Attending a Birthday and seeing your (new) dad are amusing reasons to travel. Nobody needs a Doctors note to visit a parent. Even if you get this 'health record / invitation letter' your cousin promised you, the VO will see through the ruse and ask you questions that will bottom out all your claims. Your passport can be withheld and handed over to Nigeria Police / Immigration Service if the magnitude of suspected crime is high. Now this cousin of your has stiffed you (exactly the way a lot of Nigerian in the Abroad behave) by leading you down a path and disappearing when you are in the thick of it. She honestly did not find any fault with all you have done. She is distancing herself from you to avoid any problem for herself in future. America is not Nigeria. Data and information you submit stays forever and will always be verified. I am not you, but if I was in your shoes, I would revert back to the "normal details" you mention in Nos 2 of your post and do things properly. You don't need a marriage certificate or a birth certificate for a US Visit Visa Application and/or Interview. Do tell me where you uploaded or attached these things in your application. 4 Likes |

Putinofrussia: Continue being an unfortunate being and support evil. Your cheque is coming in the mail. FYI 170 drones, 30 cruise missiles and 120 ballistic missiles were fired towards Israel. None of the 170 drones reached Israeli territory, he said, while 25 of the 30 cruise missiles were shot down by Israel. A young Palestinian Bedouin girl was critically wounded when shrapnel from an intercepted ballistic missile hit her family home near Arad, in the southern Negev region. Jordan and Iraq also shot down the air attack. That’s nations predominantly Muslims standing up against stupid behaviors by Iran which you support. If you think Iran has the right to attack Israel, then why did your lots cry foul when Israel attacked Hamas in Gaza? Only victim unfortunately is a PALESTINIAN that was injured by Iran |
Health / Re: Between Federal Medical Center And Teaching Hospital, Which Is Higher Ranked?? by fkj950ax(m): 11:41pm On Apr 16 |
Kemistri3: From the names, you should know they aren't comparable. Everything in life is not about competition or non-useful public conversation (comments and engagements). The Healthcare Industry is built in layers and or structures. A General Hospital's function is different from a Specialist Hospital as is different from a University Teaching Hospital and a Federal Medical Center. A Community Health Care Centre is also different from a Health Post. There is no ranking system for a Healthcare of a nation. |

freshStarz: The B1/B2 Visa is valid for 5 years with multiple entry. You can't stay as much as you want on a visit or entry, because CBP or I94 is restricted to 6 months per entry. You should use your first entry as stated in your application, though circumstances change. If you stay as much as you want - 8 weeks, 9 months, 2 years - on a single visit/entry, then what happens to your job, business and/or school you said you have in Nigeria (profile) when you applied or at your interview? Your renewal or subsequent immigration plans with the US will be judged based on all you do. 1 Like |

I guess the US Visa Fee Regime is a better situation than the Nigerian Visa Fee Regime for anyone planning to come to Nigeria “CNN International correspondent, Larry Madowo, has expressed dismay over Nigeria’s visa fees. Madowo, who made this known on his LinkedIn account on Monday, disclosed that despite holding a Kenyan passport, which grants visa-free access to numerous African nations such as Uganda, South Africa, and Ghana, Nigeria requires a substantial fee of $215 for a single-entry visa. He wrote, ”Nigeria just charged me $215 for a one-month, single entry visa. Again. I was here three weeks ago – paid the same $215. This is actually my third time in Nigeria this year, so they have made $645 from me in 2024 alone. “The visa itself costs $25, but Nigeria charges a $20 ‘processing fee’ and $170 for biometrics every time. My fingerprints haven’t changed since I was here three weeks ago. Why am I paying $170 to have them taken and to pose for a picture each time I visit? Isn’t that a standard part of admitting someone into a country?” 1 Like |
Education / Re: From Inspector General Of The Nigerian Police To A Jail Cell by fkj950ax(m): 7:29am On Apr 06 |
Balogun attended the University of Lagos, graduating in 1972 with a B.A. in Political Science. He joined the Nigeria Police Force in May 1973. While a police officer, he gained a law degree from the University of Ibadan. After working in various positions around the country, he became Principal Staff Officer to former Inspector-General of Police, Muhammadu Gambo, then Deputy Commissioner of Police in Edo State, and then Commissioner of Police first in Delta State and then in Rivers State and Abia State. He was appointed Assistant Inspector General of Police in A.I.G. Zone One Kano, the position he held when promoted to Inspector General of Police on 6 March 2002.[1][2] In November 2001, as A.I.G., Balogun reassured reporters that there were provisions to ensure the safety of businessmen in Nigeria through the outfit called Diplomatic Corp and Foreign National Protection Unit.[3] Balogun became IGP in March 2002, replacing Musiliu Smith.[4] He was responsible for overall police security during the April 2003 national elections, which were marred by reports of police abuses.[5] In August 2003, Balogun presented a paper on "Nigeria: Electoral Violence and National Security" in which he advocated improvements such as use of national identity cards, mass education, electoral law reforms, citizens participation in politics, good governance and establishment of a constitutional court.[6] In December 2003, Balogun organised extensive security measures across Nigeria to ensure that there were no disturbances during the Commonwealth of Nations summit.[7] Following various incidents in 2004 where reporters were beaten and their equipment damaged by policemen, Balogun made apologies and promised that those responsible would be punished.[8] Towards the end of 2004, newspapers published allegations of corruption on a massive scale, asserting that Balogun had pocketed public money and taken bribes from politicians and criminals. These led to his forced retirement in January 2005.[2] Later career edit On 4 April 2005, Balogun was arraigned at the Federal High Court, Abuja on charges involving about N13 billion obtained through money laundering, theft and other sources.[9] The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission under Nuhu Ribadu brought 70 charges against Balogun covering the period from 2002 to 2004.[10] He made a plea bargain with the court in exchange for returning much of the property and money.[11] He was sentenced to six months in jail.[12] He was released on 9 February 2006 after serving his sentence, part of it in Abuja National Hospital.[13] In November 2008 and again in February 2009, the Chairman of the House Committee on Police Affairs, Abdul Ahmed Ningi, asked the Inspector General of Police Mike Okiro, to provide details of the money recovered from Balogun, a request that he passed on to the EFCC chairman, Mrs Farida Waziri. However, the EFCC stated that they did not have records of the exact properties recovered from Balogun.[11] It was said that some of the houses had been secretly sold to certain individuals at give-away prices.[14] In April 2009, the House of Representatives Committee on Police Affairs invited Balogun, Mike Okiro and Mrs Farida Waziri to explain how the N16 billion allegedly recovered from Balogun went missing.[15] He died on 4 August 2022.[16] |

Until we have a good and sustained uptrend in exports, (and maybe downtick in imports) we would not have lower FX rates.
