Keziahgarba2023: You don't need a transit visa if your ticket with Air France is Abuja to US. Are you spending days in France before heading to the US? Will you be exiting CDG into the country of France? |

janda1: If you take time to read the last 20 pages on this thread, you'd find all the info and steps and planning you require to attend a B1/B2 interview and "probably" get it approved. There isn't much thats hidden by anyone that you can't understand when you read through. Your resume or profile as a person for the past 5-10 years will also play a crucial role. The VO at your interview has the opinion you (and everyone else in NGA) has the intention of not coming back, and the whole process (from filling your DS160 to the interview) is for you to demonstrate that you will return to your home country. What is your economic status over the years? Are you equipped to be financially responsible (equipped with education; steady job over the years; you own a business or hustle or company doing well)? Do you have compelling social factors that will make you return home (family, wife, children)? What role do you play in your current job (employed or biz owner)? How much have you earned over the years to finance a trip to the US (flight ticket is about 900k; hotel for two weeks is like 700k; you will eat for two weeks; your visa is a visit visa for vacation, you will need money for gate fee and Uber to Clubs to Disney to Madison Square to Miami Beach to museum, and all the places you are going. You will shop and buy one or two things. So to go on a visit to the US for 2 weeks, you will be needing like N3m - N4m Let's say you earn N300k a month, so you plan to use 10 -12 months salary to travel on a 2 weeks trip? N500k a month is total salary for 6 -8 months Remember you have rent and phch and Tinubu petrol to buy in Nigeria so have you saved or earn enough to pay for the vacation and all the social and job functions wont suffer? Every single VO have interviewed thousands of Nigerians over the last 6 months and they have heard all the BS and story Nigerians can 'formulate". They know a lie even before the applicant opens his mouth. They know Nigerian salary scale. They know what rent is. They know how bad the economy is. They know that salaries are not enough. They know there is underemployment. They know Nigeria more than Nigerians sef. So when you can sort all of these, your interview improves from 0% success rate to 51% success rate. 5 Likes 1 Share |

janda1:One of the not too recent changes in the DS160 is listing your social media accounts. These are known as social identifiers. The most effective and direct identifier in society is your phone number. You go as far as making your phone number publicly available after stating the fact you plan to abuse the visa if and when you get it. I don’t know if it’s true VO’s are on NL, but there is enough tech in the world today crawling and gathering data to get things like this. Don’t get yourself flagged. It may be when you want to adjust status this will show up and you blame village people. There is an example of a popular fraudster who got unmasked from a NL posting investigators used to link his true identity. |

You are busy blaming everyone but the bank. Focus on the issue and not blame people. That is how things are resolved. |

janda1: Just post here. I am not on WhatsApp and I live outside NG. If you can, read as much as you can in this thread. To get a visit visa approved requires convincing a VO you’d return after the visit and you can financially afford the trip. You will return because you have a lot going on in Nigeria that is super important you don’t have to remain in the US despite the better opportunities. Good job. Family. Home. Business etc etc here are thriving You are financially able because you earn enough and have a good savings to pay for the trip (visa fees, flight ticket, hotels, feeding, vex money, spend money, shopping money) without getting stranded. You have a plan for the visit (what are you doing for the period while in the US). What are your plans for the vacation - places you are going to... etc 1 Like |

Techyking: The challenge with scripted Q&As is when a question outside the script is asked (which is guaranteed), it throws the applicants off balance and the interview timeframe is so short, there is no time to recover and continue properly. VOs are said to study body languages, confidence level and voice frequency/patterns. Rehearsing Q&As is good, but comes with a pitfall. WRT your Q&A, I think its good and should serve its purpose. Your dads surgery is also a good reason for your mom to return to Nigeria, but if the VO doesn't ask why she's applying alone, then that information is lost in translation. That info should be included compulsorily with the answer you have for How long do you intend to stay in the US question, which is a guaranteed question to be asked by the VO 1 Like |
Politics / Re: See Palliatives Shared By APC In North And South West by fkj950ax(m): 6:03pm On Aug 29, 2023 |
This palliative thing is just moronic. The cost of the 36 + FCT buying food items across the nation to share to the citizens is a lot of money being misappropriated in the guise of palliative. Politicians and government officials (plus wife and girlfriends and side chicks) are making money getting contracts to be buying rice and oil and tin tomato is bulk to supply. I think it should just be stopped. 3 Likes 1 Share |
