Scheduled my interview for Abuja. Is this allowed or I have to stick to Lagos?

Fill another ds-160 and input location as Abuja Nigeria so as to match with your Abuja appointment date on your CGI profile , call customer service to update your appointment

Sounds very plausible!

No State or Federal Public Servant requires a Special Assistant on Photography or Social Media or New Media or all these nonsense that are funded by TAX PAYERS.

There is a Department of Public Affairs in these places that can EASILY take photos as the Public Servant moves around.

The joke is on you. The burden of Families are on my shoulder. Seventy people weight load dey my shoulder yet no bending. Get lost

They should have chosen someone else, and not you. Bad decision. Why do you want to be the only champion in your family?

Imagine if they had chosen someone else, and that person has been able to raise 20 people in the family. Each person today will have just the responsibility of just 3-4 person on their shoulders, and not one person alone carrying 70, and boasting on NL "no bending". You even call your family members weight. Your mind is black evil.
You see your education was a bloody waste, and you are not a nice person, even to your blood family.
Bring up others to raise the whole family, and STOP TRYING TO BE LORD AND SAVIOUR of your family.

The best thing I've read this year. Aside status, owning a house is not a good investment. For a struggling guy, grow the shit out of that 25m. 25m in a good business should give us at least 70m in a year. Rent and grow this. In , 4 years, use the residual income to buy a house. Don't go and dump all your life savings in a house.

DrDoc:
Unless you have excess, it is better to expand income generating systems. I.e build more businesses than build a house that doesnt generate or create substantial wealth on time

Assumption is the lowest form of intelligence.
How do you both know he hasn't been expanding on income generating systems and built more businesses for the past 30 years?
How do you know he hasn't grown the shit out of the 25m in good busineses that generated him 70m in a year for the past 30 years?
And what is the point of doing what you both advise him to do and only use the residual income to buy a house (which is what he is doing right now)?

Nope. International Trade won’t be affected. It’s the pocket and bank account of import dependent societies that will be affected.

Please I need a very good immigration lawyer that can appeal a refusal.
There is no legal grounds to appeal a visit visa denial. It’s solely at the discretion of the VO.
Appeals are usually with other categories because they have education or familial dynamics.

The 5-minute slaughter rate mainly started after the second round of fighting (after the hostage deal).

The IDF pigs are being ambushed in large numbers almost everyday now.

You can do the maths for the timeline from that period.
Statistically it’s impossible.
24 hours means 288 soldiers die daily?

Leave propaganda out of the conflict. It doesn’t stop the IDF from achieving its objectives
Foreign Affairs / Re: ‘We Lose A Soldier Every 5 Minutes’ - Israeli Officer Beg Students To Enlist by fkj950ax(m): 6:51pm On Dec 17, 2023
There are 70,200 minutes between Oct 27 and Dec 15

Ground invasion was Oct 27

If a soldier dies every 5 minutes, that means Israel has lost 14,040 soldiers

Statistically that’s a lie and impossible

This is another propaganda story from this conflict

There is nothing toxic about the above situation you shared.

Please don't let anyone confuse you. It is not compulsory and you also do not have to.
As at when you applied, you had Passport A. Before interview, you obtained Passport B.
Go for your interview with both A & B. Stick with your guts. 4+5=9, so is 8+1 and 3+6 and 2+7

Thank you. Don’t know what to do because @newboykhashoggi said it’s compulsory.

If you aren’t comfortable with filling a new DS160 for the fear of losing your date or it getting rescheduled.
The applicant should just attend the interview with both the old and new passport. The VO will unlock the form and update new passport number.
It’s not compulsory
Career / Re: Suggestions: What Would Be The Minimum Hourly Pay Rate For The Nigerian Workers? by fkj950ax(m): 1:03pm On Dec 12, 2023
BluntCrazeMan:
Preamble:
During the 2023 campaign period, part of the things which Peter-Obi promised that he would do in order to increase the “productivity” of the government workers was to phase-out the “Monthly Salary” system, and introduce an “Hourly-Pay” system, where the hours of work by the workers are calculated and paid at the end of the agreed periods of payment.

He promised that there would also be flexibility of how the workers chose to be paid...
Either Weekly, Biweekly, or Monthly.
.[/b]

Political campaign speech are nothing but speeches. There is no substance in them.
Everyone has a plan until they get hit in the mouth. AutoCad designs are beautiful until you break ground at site.

Simply because it’s don’t that way elsewhere doesn’t mean it will work here. Our economy is not built like that.
How do you get to this 2nd job when you have hours of traffic to contend with?
And overtime is taxed. You have 40hrs a wk and everything above that is overtime. You earn 1.5% of regular pay as OT.
Your total income for the month is taxed. Different tax rates for the regular 40hrs and the OT hours.
Example
You work 10hours a day and 6 days a week at 10/hr and 15/hr for OT
That’s 60hrs a week. Your hourly pay of the first 40 hours is calculated (10 x 40) and your OT hours is (15 x 20).

OT and 2nd jobs work in other countries because the economy doesn’t shut down daily at 5pm. Most businesses in their economy run 24hrs. There’s demand for labor for 24hours a day. Our economy is built around 8am-5pm.

That’s the first thing to change. But we haven’t solved electricity problem. Without which nobody can run a business 24hrs.

We haven’t solved transportation problem. There is no transit system in any state in Nigeria whether roads or public transportation which will allow workers move easily 24hrs a day

So it PO was CiC, he wouldn’t have been able to implement hourly pay because of these 2 major hassles.

It’s easy to make speeches at campaign ground but reality is different from PowerPoint presentation.

Good evening GURUS my sister filled her form since February, her interview is on Tuesday 12, she’s trying to retrieve her form but says it has been submitted, is it adviced to fill another Ds160 please tonight?

Thank you

She obviously submitted a filled form in February.
It’s advisable to stay within a 6 month window so she should fill a new DS160 and update. Feb-Dec is 10 months.
If her circumstances hasn’t changed, then no cause for alarm. Just reprint the confirmation.

Hi Everyone,
I'm in need of an interview date between now and January 15th 2024 (Lagos/Abuja). I know it sounds like a long shot but please what can i do to increase my chances?
Thank you!

There is nothing you or anyone can do to increase chances of getting appointment dates apart from logging into your ustraveldocs.com profile everyday - limited to 3 times a day so the portal doesn't temporarily block you - and checking for available dates.
The above is even dependent on you already having received the mail to book a date and you have done so.

Both names as sponsors. You and wife. You work and direct relation/family to your mum.
Leave GC matter for now. It will give notion she won’t be coming back after B1/B2 and will adjust status. That’s easy reason for VO to hide behind when denying the B1/B2. You guys can do GC later on.
Start searching for dates yesterday.

Hello,

I recently filled the ds160 form but in the field I ask asked to input my income in local currency, I submitted the amount I receive in $ since Im paid in $ cos I work with a foreign company. Will this be a problem?

Fill a new DS160 and resubmit.
Since you already earn in USD while working remote, you don’t have a compelling reason to return to Nigeria.
Be tactful and intentional not to allow this be a reason your application is denied.

No one can give you a definite answer to this question as each applicant’s circumstance and interview experience varies and can sometimes vary significantly. I know folks who have been given an F2 visa and others who have been denied an F2 visa. Although U.S. consular officers are notoriously known for not checking applicants’ documents, you may want to go with your husband’s current I-20, copy of his F1 visa, proof of current enrollment, transcripts, apartment lease, TA/GA/RA appointment letter, paystub if he has a TA/GA/RA, biweekly stipend if he is on a scholarship/fellowship, your husband’s bank statement, your bank statement, and proof of your marriage. Any other document that you have to prove your home ties is also a plus. Better to have the documents and not need them than to need them and not have them!

How long does your husband have left to complete his program? I ask because if your husband is in an MSc program and has already completed a year, he probably has a year or less left to complete his program (minus OPT) so be prepared to respond if the consular officer asks you why it has taken you at least a year to apply to join your husband and why you want to go now when your husband might have approximately a year left before he completes his program. Good luck!
