Gift Monday proving that we won't miss Ajibade much in the final. SA get ready |
At this point, we should be humble, pack the bus and try to force a penalty shootout |
This our goal keeper, how many times do you have to spill the ball to your opponent? |
See how those Marrocans are looking fine with their hair styles. E be like na only Nigerian Muslim different ooo |
How does CAF have nominations before the AWCON is concluded. You're simply saying that their European performance is all that matters ![]() |
MrEgghead:My point exactly. Let's get in an extra midfielder and see how it goes. |
do4luv14:I believe he needs to make adjustments ooo. The world cup is not negotiable for us. Not when the rival is Ghana |
My observations from the first leg: 1. We were outnumbered in midfield, hence ceding control of the game. Two central midfielders vs three for Ghana. It's even worse because of the absence of Ndidi 2. Our creativity is from the wide men. The Ghanians figured that out easily like the Tunisians did at the Afcon. Once a winger has the ball, they simply doubled on him and the attack comes to nothing. Solution. Drop Ihenacho and bring in another central midfielder. That means going for a flat 4 3 3 like top teams play. The effects: You wrestle control of the game in the middle of the field. Then you also have enough cover for the defense. This will allow the fullbacks to play higher up the pitch, thereby doubling up in the attacking wings to create more space for the wingers. The wingers can drift in to help Osimhen, thereby displacing the Ghanian fullbacks and creating space for the Nigerian fullbacks to deliver good crosses. The 3 central midfielders can guard against potential counter attacks. A good example is how liverpool play. The presence of Alex Arnold and Robertson joining the attack makes it difficult for opponents to focus only on Salah and Mane. That is possible because of the industrious hard work of the central midfielders. Recommend a change for the game. Let's go... |
Nigeria has an edge here. Ghana is a solid team, but they lack attacking firepower. You wonder were the goal will come from. Nigeria has good forward players that can score without playing well. In football like this, that one moment can define it all. |
The present generation has a trophy and a world cup to play. Like they can meet or surpass the older generation by getting to the world cup semi final or even winning it. The old generation is over. This one can be much better. Let's just be patient. |
All these people that say gender identity is what a person decides, are just funny. If Anthony Joshua comes out today and says he identifies as a woman, should he be allowed to box with another woman? Or if Messi says today that he now identify as a woman, should he be allowed to represent Argentina at the women world cup? Now I hear a child shouldn't be ascribed a gender until it grows and chooses a gender for itself. Now that's ridiculous. |
At this point, I think Simon Moses should be wrapped in cotton wool and put in a freezer for protection. I no wan hear story ooo |
The beautiful thing about the Eagles is that they now run. Kudos to the coach for that. This is the same super eagles that play games at walking and jogging pace. As long as they keep running like this, and pressing to win the ball quickly, they have a good chance of winning the tournament. |
uunwanaobong3:Afcon has been moved to June/July. Cameroon asked for an exception because of the high rainfall in their country by that time. The same thing is happening to Qater for the world cup and everyone understands. So why if Africa's case different? |
chloride6:It has been shifted to June/ July. Cameroon asked for January because of the high rainfall in June. Besides the Euros is not played in winter because of the snow and bad weather. The world cup has been moved to November to suit the weather of Qater. So why is Africa's adjustment to weather an issue? |
Today, we live in a world of perception and imaging. It's no coincidence that it's called the social media age. What does that say? It simply means that our perceived social image goes a long to to determine the opportunities made available to us. The difference between a success and a failure most times come down to opportunities. In case you maybe wondering, "I'm intelligent, I'm this, I'm that, but no one wants to give me a chance". The problem might just be that no one wants to be associated with a person who is perceived to be primitive. Below are some ways to increase your social perception in Nigeria. Have money (the more, the better) I think this one doesn't need much explanation. And besides, there's a reason it's up here as number one. In Nigeria, having money makes you socially better. A person who is dirty will look cleaner with money. Even though he/she is still a pig, he/she can buy more sanitary tools like washing machine, hiring a cleaner, and spraying expensive perfumes to look neat. A person with a poor sense of fashion, can look better with money. Even if he is still bad at fashion, at least he can afford newer and finer clothes. Having money can help you improve your social image, but money alone cannot work the magic. What else can? Speak English (good one at that) O yeah! I get it. This is Nigeria. There's that urge to remind everyone that you are from the streets, or that you are not an"ajebutter" . It's necessary sometimes to avoid being taken advantage of. But, while everyone claims to be from the streets, nobody wants to associated with the streets as they move up the social ladder. Think about it. The multinationals want to employ only eloquent people most times, the market woman respects you for your command of English, even if she has more money than you do. You will be more attractive to the opposite sex in most cases too. In general, you have a higher social image and more respect just by speaking good English. But if anybody do anyhow, still change am for am ooo. E geh Y ![]() Play Chess and/or Scrabble ( I'd prefer Chess) The people from a low social background most times know how to play 3 games: ludo, whot and sometimes draft or that game with 12 holes of 4 seeds each. I know it as "ncho". Playing a game like Chess makes people perceive you as being socially progressive. You are also perceived to be intelligent and from at least a middle class background. It might be true in some cases because if you look at it closely, the schools that teach kids to play chess are middle class or rich schools. Only middle class or rich parents can afford to buy their kids a chess board too. And chess requires progressive thinking. There are still idiots who play chess ooo . But it takes nothing away from the fact that chess helps improve your perceived social image.Play an unpopular sport In Nigeria, football is a very popular sport because everyone can play or at least appreciate the game at any level. The problem here is that you are not very much attractive for playing football. How about playing tennis, table tennis, golf, etc. Those games listed are perceived as games for the rich or at least the middle class. The simple reason is that the facilities or equipment used for those sports are quite expensive, and not readily available to everyone. You see, there's that special admiration and respect you get if you play an unpopular sport. This is true, especially too if you're a lady ![]() Read books, Pursue knowledge (...any book. Just keep reading) Who are the people with access to good schools, good books, serene environment, better connection, more advanced knowledge, and by extension, a better life? Your guess is as good as mine. When it comes to climbing the social ladder, there's a limit to what packaging can do for you. Sometimes you need to have substance, and you can't fake that. It's just a matter of time, you'll be found out for the empty vessel you are. In conclusion, your social perception in Nigeria can determine a whole lot about your life. From the kind of friends you make and keep, quality of jobs you get, even down to the quality of spouse you attract. Your social position is very vital. It's true that we are all proud of the streets we came from, but truth be told, there's no good life on the streets. It's about time we moved to a more peaceful and enlighten life by trying our best to climb up the social ladder. You can add more suggestions you think are necessary in the comment section. |
Unfortunately, I'll do the same as a business man. Why work so hard to build an empire only to hand your money over to the government for the politicians to squander all in the name of taxes? People have to be realistic with this tax issue. The hussle is not for the government. ![]() Of course I believe in taxes for the development of society. Just taxes that is fair, and not to rip you off. |
Nice to see that a "big man" with his money is waiting for 7 hours (even if it might be just his driver). He did not ask to see the filling station manager. He did not come out to rant. He did not scroll down his contact list to check who he can call. The "big man" need to come to Africa to learn how to become a better"big man". Starzo:I mentioned that. And yes, he waited 7 hours for his driver to get back. A normal " big man" should be making lots of calls by then. It should not get to 7 hours... no it should not. |

Yes oooo |
It was a fateful night in 2002. I went to the living room with my food to eat. The television was on art sport2 on Cable Mission Television (CMTV) *smiles*, and a football game was on. That match was what I later came to know as the Milan derby. I just knew that I liked the team on red and black... the rest is history. Since then I adored this team. I saw the team win Juventus on penalties in the UCL final of 2003. I watched as they threw away a 3 goals lead vs Liverpool in Istanbul in 2005, I was heart broken when they lost to a Ronaldinho inspired Barcelona in the semi final of 2006. I saw the magic of Pirlo and Inzaghi to lift the UCL in 2007 (My favorite goal that year was Kaka vs Man united in the semi final of 2007. Yes, Gabriel Heinz and Patrice Evra can tell the story better). After that came the gradual decline. I followed the fall of the Berlosconi empire on the club. I saw how the club finally won the Serie A in 2011 under Allegri. Then the final collapse after 2012: Zlatan and Thiago Silva was sold to PSG, Pirlo left for free to Juventus, the stalwarts of old all retired. It was really a mess. The club was sold to fake Chinese investors. The defaulted on their loan and the investment company took over the club. The club made losses and got punished by UEFA for breach of financial fair play rules. Then something happened. I knew if the club was to ever come back, they must do it without spending money. Who else can perform such a magic but the stingy Ivan Gazidis of Arsenal. Gazidis became CEO in what I believe is the best signing Milan ever made in the last decade. Came with his free transfer and cheap market policy and found gold just like he did at arsenal in those years. And after many years of struggle Milan is back to the Champions league, this time as underdogs *sad*. I felt bad when I saw the draws. But then I remembered that the Big Nights are what this cub is about. I fell in love with a club for big occasions. Milan isn't about beating Cagliari or Empoli or Torino. This is what Milan was made for... the big nights. And what better place to start than Anfield. Let the show begin. Bring it all on. Forza Milano |

I see a sanitary pad as gift item. Good one. There are NGO's who give out free condoms for sex even though sex is a choice. Yet, nobody asks how young girls are coping in a country ravaged by poverty since they didn't choose their gender and anatomy. But the feminist don't care such things. If the feminist where serious, by now pads will be free all over the world ![]() |

I suspected that too. The body gets to fight viruses like this on it's own. If your body isn't strong enough, the virus will take you down. Then to the vaccine issue, it shows how vulnerable we are as a country. Yet we keep deceiving ourselves. Nigeria cannot hussle for vaccine without getting assistance from WHO and African Union. And we wonder why other countries look down on us. The truth of the matter is that a beggar can never be rich until it changes its mindset and hussle like every other person. The first step towards developing this nation and standing as a force in the world is to reject every form of foreign aid and think of solutions from within. The politicians don't care because they want to steal the aid. The donors know too that the money is being stolen, but they keep donating because it keeps the beggar at a lower level. That's including the idea that they can control the leaders of such beggar nations. Despise the free lunch... that remains an important law of power. |

![]() Their governors cannot speak for them. It's time for the youths to do it their way. I've always said it that the general problem of Nigeria is a failed leadership. You see it happening in every region of the country. Whenever there's a problem affecting the people, their so called leaders will turn a blind eye. That will create a vacuum for someone else to step in to fill the leadership gap. Sometimes it leads to chaos |
I think the problem with the injuries at the back for liverpool is in midfield. The energy and drive of Henderson and Fabinho is missed. The defense robbed them of their best midfielders |
