Poverty is really very terrible, but when you add it to ignorance you get hell fire. Poverty affects you such that even when you have money, you will still have a wretched mindset unless you educate yourself. ![]() |
I just feel sad for my club Milan. Now that the years of building is paying off, the players are coming of age, key players are now running out of contract. The harsh reality is that as these players become very good, they start thinking of more money. Even if they don't like money, their agent go carry the matter for head. It may be expensive to keep all of them, but I hope Donnarumma stays. Even if it means letting Zlatan and Cahanoglu go |
lathrowinger:When you see such, it's likely a political thug getting familiar with the site. I've been on nairaland long enough to know how they start |
People have to take into context the different times of these footballers. First, Pele was a global star in his time and Santos could not pay him by playing in Brazil alone. As a result, Santos organized many friendlies with European super clubs at the time which was basically to drive revenue. These friendlies were not as friendly as we have it today like a pre season. They were hardly fought with bragging rights and sometimes trophies on the line. I find it ridiculous when people compare players who played in different generations. When you consider that, you'll understand were Santos is coming from. Those friendly goals were not just friendlies in the real sense of it. |
If they were denied by SEC, what stops the EFCC and the so called SARS from going after them? We have to be proactive in this country. I understand the victims were gullible, but then, they are still citizens of the country, and it is the country's responsibility to try as much as she can to protect them. |
The challenge for Arsenal is how to finish the match with 11 men on the field regardless of the scoreline |
![]() There are many things bedevilling a child in Nigeria. One of those is the right of every child to know there parents. It sounds simple right? The government should ensure that public and private hospitals have the facility to conduct a DNA for every child at birth. The reason is simple. When I see children begging on the roadside, it's always with their mothers. Except the father is dead, if a DNA is carried out at birth, every man must be responsible for his offspring together with the woman of course. And there is also the other issue of men raising children that are not theirs which is a story for another day. The point is that when the man finds out in the future, he loses the love he has for that child which is not the child's fault. The right for every child to truely know their parents and the parents held responsible is important in our world today. Thank you |
The investment Klopp made on those youth team players in carabo and FA cup over the years is paying off. Who would believe that that goal keeper was making his premier league debut against wolves. Like those kids just slot into the big stages without any fear. They look like they are senior players already. |
amiberry3000:Yes I was. Anything I should know? |
Smartwayne:Hello, please can you share how the interview went? I would really appreciate |
When you see the cowards roll out war trucks for civilians, you'll think it's a strong army. This is the same idiots that have never won anything battle against armed men. The militants were begged with amnesty, Boko Haram are being given vip treatment to beg them. The army have never reported any victory. I think Nigeria has the the weakest army in the world. If any country should attack us, then we are all doomed |
![]() I don't know what is wrong with restructuring that people are afraid of it. Restructuring simply means a change of structure. It is what we do daily in our homes and at our work places. When something is not working, we look for ways to tweak it to make them better. We don't leave it the same way and hope it works. Some say a new structure should be a fiscal federation, some say it should be parliamentary. Whatever it is, the idea is for everyone to agree first that the country needs a new structure. Once that is agreed, we can then discuss what the new structure should be. My problem is that people don't want to believe in the possibility of a new kind of Nigeria. They just want it to remain the same way it is. If you fall in that line, the question you should ask yourself is, is Nigeria working as it is currently structured? If your answer is no, then, why are you afraid of change? Except you are happy with the way the country is presently, then I rest my case. I am not proposing any structure here, I am only saying that we agree first that this isn't working and a change is required. All of us have to come to that agreement first. |
![]() As a long suffering Milan fan, I just hope the club will rise again. But it seems they are getting it right this time ![]() |
It's a no brainier na. If you're into politics in Delta State and you are not in PDP, even SUG president sef you no go win. It is what it is... |
By my guess, almost 99% of these workers are men. When you consider the number of men at the warfronts too, you have your answer on why the life expectancy of men are shorter. They risk it all for their families and for glory. I just wish all workers safety in their hussle. It's never easy to lose a loved one. |
How do you create so many chances, knowing that finishing was the problem, then you leave out Icardi and bring Chupo Moting. I don't understand ![]() |
If Ronaldo scores that Mbampe miss now, they'll be shouting tap in. ![]() You guys think it's easy to tap in at the highest level ![]() But this final is worth it though. Kudus to both teams for holding their own. |
![]() The pandemic is part of the problem here. Goals that should be scored over 2 legs home and away, now Bayern is forced to score all of them in one match. This is not fair on Bayern. And they are running out of time |
Testes Erititis Mihi. In English, You shall be my witness. From the comments above, most of the schools have there motto in Latin. A strong Christian influence by the missionaries. |
Assuming it's a 4 years course, weather you go to the university or not, in four years time you'll be 29 years. The only difference is that if you go, you'll be a 29 years old graduate. If you don't go, you'll be a 29 year old non graduate. Whatever decision you choose, time is still not on your side. Time is not on anybody's side. Just do what you want to do. Good luck |
When the story starts from a new chat. Is it that lovers of 4 years have no prior chat history? OP is a learner |
This life sha. Liverpool don't need any favors, yet they are getting it. Last season, they needed a favor from January to May, and got none. The moral of the story is that to be successful, you just have to mind your business. |
espn:Chelsea vs Barcelona is another classic. But I doubt if Lampard's boys are ready to give us those sort of games |
As we look forward to the round of 16 draws. Here's a list of possible outcomes. For me, Tottenham vs Barcelona will make a great game. Especially for the Mourinho factor. allytinted:I remember Ferguson saying that the goal for every season is always the league. Every other cup competition is a bonus. City can go far and lose three key players to injury before the final. Just as Salah's last season. These things are decided by fine margins that can sometimes not be your fault like a bad decision from the ref. Even the best experts in the game know that at the semi finals of the UCL, every team is almost equal. Any team can win from there. At the end if Gardiola wins, will Allegri not be considered a failure at Juve? It's the champions league and getting to the semi final is the goal. Then you're three matches away from becoming champions. Anything can happen |
I understand perfectly. It's just like the A students then in school. When people are celebrating that they got a D or C in certain courses, B is seen as failure for the A student. As for me, I'll rather keep going that far and be termed a serial failure than play at the lower level competing for top four, Europa or trying to avoid relegation. At the end of the season either Klopp or Gardiola will be termed a failure in one way or the other. That's the price you pay for excellence ![]() |
Why can't people understand that creation is at the service of man. If all living things have a right to life, then what will man eat or use for production ![]() As long as they can be reared or cultivated to guarantee continuous existence, then what's the problem? BTW, it's Christmas season, and we the Chicken right activists will hold a protest tomorrow. ![]() |
