He is an ungrateful person who has not only betrayed the trust of all those who worked for him to emerge as governor but has also failed woefully to replicate the achievements of his predecessor, Oshiomole.

Judging by information available in the public domain, Obaseki is tyrannical and suppresses the will of majority...

If you disagree, then tell me what manner of person will swear in 7 out of 24 lawmakers in a state just because the other 17 are not aligned with his interest?

Is democracy not the rule of majority?

I repeat, Obaseki is a tyrant and a threat to true democracy anywhere...

I understand he has employed many people to sway opinion on Nairaland and has even started paying for adverts on Nairaland.

Unfortunately, majority of Edo voters are not on Nairaland and they're going to vote against him for failing to live up to expectation come September 19th.

Few wise Edo people that are here will continue to tell the world the truth. Obaseki is not fit to govern Edo state.

Edo needs a progressive governor that will surpass Oshiomole's achievement... Not one that will win election and start focusing on building political structure to perpetuate their stay in power when they loot state resources and fail to deliver projects for the state.

If the house choose to impeach Obaseki nothing Wike can do to resist it.
We can still remember how Wike and Mama Peace supported 5 lawmakers against 27 in rivers during Amaechi’s tenure.
Also how Wike and PDP famously told the whole world that 16 is greater than 19 during the Governors forum election in 2014.
PDP also says 7 was greater than 13 in Ekiti during Fayose’s reign of terror.
Wike didn’t resist his party then, now that the odd is against PDP he’s claiming victim.

Covid-19 infections and wearing of face masks began only at the end of March 2020! Ize-Iyamu defected to APC last year, 2019. And some undiscerning daft folks liked your obvious lie? Shame!

There is nothing to sugar-coat about it, Obaseki, the MoU-wielding no physical development clown, the daft, wicked ingrate, will be booted out and return to his office in Ikoyi, Lagos (the same Lagos he's been insulting these past few months) at the end of the year!

The battle ground is south where over 61% of the votes come from...

If you are privy to the mindset of an average voter on the streets of Benin regarding this election... They are majorly for the current gov...

Edo Central is a done deal for the gov...

North has the current Deputy who is also a movement and can get more than 50%...

Any attempt to rig the election could cause massive rejection that would surprise many..

And most interestingly, the opposion or pastor as the case may be has nothing they accuse the gov for, not incompetence, not corruption, not Nepotic vices, not lawlessness..... BUT BECAUSE HE STOPPED THE NORMS OF ALLOWING GOVT FUNDS GET TO INDIVIDUAL POCKETS

Edo people should vote wisely. Obaseki brought prosperity to that state. When Oshiomole left government, the law makers (on Oshiomole's side) forced Obaseki to pay Oshiomole a whole #200 million. ....after that payment, Oshiomole wanted more ...he wasn't satisfied..that was the genesis of their problem. Edo People protested against that payment. But somehow, Oshiomole still had his way. If Obaseki hadn't stood his ground, Oshiomole would have milked that state

The significance of a counselor? Politics everywhere is local. Counselors and local government chairmen are the real grassroot mobilizers. Ignore them as inconsiquentials at your own perils. Your aides will not come and mobilize for you on election day. Even commissioners will not come and mobilize for you. Local government chairmen and Consellors are the real deal.
