Absolute balderdash. Enough of the distraction, real issues beckon.

Fuel scarcity is now normal
Darkness is now the way of life in Nigeria

More corrupt avenues have been created for officers to steal. ... police arresting folks with kegs in cars based on IGs announcement, fuel attendants now ripping off keg buyers cos of yeye policies. Bankers now source forex from CBN and sell to themselves. The corruption in customs now is at a height..... normal exporters are now expected to bribe their way through the ports because every container is suspect.

Nigeria has gone to the dogs mehn

Imagine if this was IPOB and not Fulani Herdsmen, Buhari would have declared total war on them.

Buhari and the northern elites are clearly behind bokoharam ... and now Fulani herdsmen. This script has been long written.. The south must arm itself for defense. The time to react is now as it will be too late shortly.

Fashola has been unmasked from the hyped perfomer to a less than average politician who played the media to his advantage.

To folks who believed him, he has been an utter disappointment. To some of us that saw through him, he has been exposed for who he is worth.

As for Amaechi, .... no serious govt would have him in a cabinet.

I again enjoin you to employ common sense.

We had 'peace' some years ago because of the policy of bribing criminals and their leaders with tens of billions of naira. I say 'criminals' because most of them retained their arms even after coming forward for 'amnesty'

We've spent probably half a trillion Naira so far on 'Amnesty' since 2009, and see how hollow it was!

We cannot keep paying people money for 'peace'. Sorry, but that is unsustainable, and eminently unfair to the majority of Niger deltans who don't engage in criminal acts that have nothing to do with emancipation and everything to do with stuffing their bellies.

Force is not the answer to Niger Deltans. Niger Deltans need reassurance that the Government has plans to fix their environment, provide employment etc.

Force is the answer to the criminals that are blowing up pipelines.

#CommonSense
Nigeria is already a criminal enterprise by running a unitary system of government where the component units have not found a unity of purpose since inception.

Vandalism is a crime, same is looting, marginalization, ethnic cleansing, fulani invasion, ethnocentrism.

Until we embrace true federalism, we shall continue to dabble in and out of such policies such as bribing militants. This is not the first time force will be tried and it has continually failed until negotiations brought about the relative peace.

Its lack of common sense in trying a solution that has continually failed at expense of a frail oil dependent economy and a nation in darkness.

At this time, its either buhari embraces true federalism or continue negotiations. .... choose your poison.

Until then, quote me when force restores sustained oil and gas production in the Niger Delta.

NO NATION DISUNITED IN PURPOSE EVER MAKES PROGRESS #Common sense

Sometimes I have to reluctantly agree with Senator Ben Murray-Bruce. A lack of common sense is at the root of many of Nigeria's problems.

When you know that a massive portion of Nigeria's power generation comes from gas powered plants, and when you know that militants and vandals are sabotaging gas pipelines, starving our plants of fuel gas and hence plunging your entire nation in darkness...why will you be foolish enough to wail when the FG takes steps to fight pipeline vandals?

LEave politics aside and embrace common sense! Attacking Buhari for facing this issue squarely yet they will still wake you up at 2am to put on the generator undecided
And you think force is the solution? Tell me about that issue that was resolved with force in the ND?

You really think we can continue crude and gas production amidst a war in same location?

Was force responsible for the increase in generated MW few years ago?

Now remind me what you said common sense was again?

The China deal will even widen the parallel market gap.

So I can buy 500K yuan through CBN for 15Milliona naira at 30 naira per yuan, then I convert my 500K Yuan to 77,360 dollars in Chinese FX market. Then I return to Nigeria to sell my 77,360 dollars at 315 naira per dollar and that gives me 24.4Million Naira.

Guess what, I just made 9.4Million naira profit on my 15million naira just from round tripping. The Yuan arrangement is crap for the economy but good for smart businessmen
Politics › Re: NJC Sacks Gbaja-Biamila And Idris Evuti by Flets: 3:37pm On Apr 19, 2016
Buhari is trying really hard to muscle the judiciary through the NJC. Silencing the judges to play by Buhari's rule is bad for our democracy.

Definitely, I trust the judidciary to fight back. The NJC himself is more corrupt than most, singling out few scape goats to intimidate the judiciary is unacceptable. If there should be a fight against corruption, it should be wholistic.... NJC inclusive.

China can always buy Nigeria's oil with the Naira thereby recirculating the Naira back to Nigeria.
Crude is priced in dollars, what exchange rate shall apply?
You really think Nigeria wants crude oil paid in naira?, the IOCs spend their operating cost in dollars will earn their dollars back. Its not as simple as you think.

China is in a tight pact with Russia and Iran on crude sales, and chinese crude requirement has been on the decline. .... you really think they would sacrifice their long term allies for Nigeria?

We buy items worth billions of dollars monthly from china, so what does china buy from you to balance out payments?

Naira can be used for raw materials like palm oil and other agricultural produce. Chinese industry will need something aside from oil. Besides direct investment will require Naira too.
Over 80% of our gross imports is from china running into billions of dollars on a monthly basis. What are we exporting to china to balance payments of that magnitude.

And pls dont mention palm oil, we do less than $5m dollars monthly of that...... and not even to china. Besides ..... what final product does palm oil form a raw material for in China?
Business › Re: Nigeria, China Currency Swap Forces USD Rate Down: Bureau De Change Association by Flets: 7:10pm On Apr 17, 2016
What will china be doing with a swapped naira? What market will they trade the swapped Naira? What is our volume of export to reciprocate supposed chinese yuan import?

In its simplest term, Nigeria needs yuan but does china need naira?

Behind the answer to this question lies the gullibility of Nigerians.
Politics › Re: Feyi Fawehinmi: How To Make Sense Of Nigeria’s Currency Swap Deal With China by Flets: 3:58pm On Apr 17, 2016
Why do Nigerians refuse to reason beyond their noses?

In a case of currency swap (lets say 1bn yuan swaps for 30bn naira), what would china be doing with the naira? What Nigerian export would they be paying for using the naira?

Obviously china would not be swapping for a naira at a rate less than global exchange rate..... rather it would be at a higher exchange rate.

What is Buhari's fall back plan at tackling what is coming his way from the west? The power play behind petro-dollar is beyond demand and supply.... no developing nation has survived it.

What is Buhari's plan in terms of diplomacy? Screaming anti-west rants on NL can't save Nigeria if the west is really against this move.

The integrity tag on Buhari is the biggest fraud in Nigeria's political history

This is a man who took governance with the barrel of a gun in a military coup

A man who served under the most corrupt military dispensation

A man who till date says Abacha was not corrupt despite receiving recovered loot

A man who could not stick to his words that he would not contest for the presidency aftee 2011 loss.

A man who rose to presidency on the wings of looted state funds at the expense of Rivers and Lagos people funded by Amaechi and Fashola

A man who believes a fight against bokoharam is a fight against the north; What of the blood of dogs and baboons

A man who has and continually dine with all known terrorists and looters of our common wealth.

Buhari is a a huge fraud.

Why police? ... why not Army or DSS? Since when did Buhari trust the police to do the job?

Buhari should condemn the fulani menace first.....

There are no armed fulani herdsmen. .... these are mobile bokoharam. Nigerian army did not defeat bokoharam, their northern sponsors re-assigned them as fulani herdsmen.

Bokoharam has served its purpose in unseating the previous govt and have been mobilized into invasion of minority communities by same northern sponsors.

These are clear scripts being played out here and you'll never hear Buhari and his northern elders condemn it but will rather blame social media.

Now the grazing reserve act has passed second reading. When passed into law, the FG reserves a right to choose choice location in any state for the fulani herdsmen. As such, shortly we would have fulani herdsmen officially occupying FG assigned lands in every state.... and the invasion continues....and terror will be entrenched in the land....

Buhari is clearly behind bokoharam and Fulani herdsmen menace. Every region must make plans to guard itself now.
