The truth remains that Buhari has no idea what governance in 2015 entails. Buhari is not just confused, he is lost. |
Thanks to GEJ/ NOI who did a good job bringing us to where we are as these numbers are reflective of 2Q15 actual data. Outside a few countries, Nigeria had an outstanding growth rate from 2014. Typical dummies will say these are mere statistics but these are key economic growth indices. By 2019, When Buhari is done dealing with Nigeria ... Nigeria would be lucky to be in the first 100. Buhari has succeeded is stifling cash flow, strangled businesses among countless job losses and capital flight. Investors have continued to escape the Nigerian market. Buhari has succeeded in marketing Nigerians as the only and most corrupt entities in the world who does not deserve investments. He has continued to ignore and cancel investment agreements by previous government under the guise of anti-corruption. Buhari's lack of direction in all key sectors has set the nation back for 10yrs in just 6 months. Buhari seem to be racing against time to make a mess of the Nigerian economy.... and if these indices are re-calculated today, we will be luck to be with 0.85trillion $ threshold. This is the reality of Buhari's directionless government. |
It's truly hard being Nigerian. The hardship in the next few years will be unprecedented More suffering through tools Increased electricity tariff Removal of fuel subsidy Dollar selling for 251 naira These are all in addition to the current suffering and massive job losses and economic nosedive And the Nigerian masses have to deal with all these with 18k minimum wage which the governors cant afford to pay. In developed countries, tolls are on new roads and there are always alternative routes. Interstate roads without alternatives are not tolled. Where dod Fashola get his template. The masses asked for it.... Fashola's elitist policies in lagos now goes national. |
Fire has been a formidable tool of economic sabotage against the Igbos. Argue all you want but this is bare truth. Fire have always been used to keep their economic growth in check. The causes of the fires can always be blamed on electricity triggers etc but the perpetrators know exactly what they are doing. |
Only an extremely unintelligent government will set a public timeline towards ending terrorism. Even the very well-equipped nations with all the intelligence reports are yet to fix a deadline to end terrorism. Yet ours that cannot manufacture a bullet and without intelligence for a simple village are quick to set dates. Absolute stupidity. |
The most unfortunate part of this whole scenario is that there is no clear direction or plan by the current FG to correct this trend. The so-called Finance minister seem to be lost in the scheme of things. |
Too early ...... way too early But APC set the precedence already, APC as we know it today is run by a collection of criminals who jumped out of PDP to form what they termed 'new-pdp'. Evil cannot last for sooooo long. |
Only true federalism will save Nigeria. Otherwise anarchy beckons. |
APC is everything our democracy does not need |
And we've lost all our democractic gains in six months. Thanks to the daftness of Nigerians |
Nigeria must embrace true federalism now. There are no rooms for further delays |
smoothpapuzy:Its no prophecy. ... its reality. These were very easily predictable |
Ok |
Nigeria needs federalism/ Regionalism right now. No further delays will suffice cos it might just be too late when we are ready. |
Yes he has inspired African leaders towards lootocracy, political godfatherism, election rigging and collection of states monthly allocation. Yes he has inspired Africa in all the wrong things. |
Only in Nigeria will a near-nonentity who has failed in all facets of governance of a mere state and whose only claim to fame are Lara and NLC throw tantrums at a global technocrat whose services are crazily sought after at the world stage. Fear ugly short people who always feel life has been unfair to them. |
grandstar:You are wrong sir. Naira will hit 300 per dollar before June 2016. As at today, it stands at 248 naira per dollar. It will definitely hit 260 naira per dollar before year end 2015. And as long this current FG continue with its current policies and CBN policies continue to stifle cash flow.... then 300 is within sight |
Nigeria must embrace federalism now. There are very few options left. |
This news is public knowledge. There is no difference between Oshiomole's face and mind... both are very ugly. This same dubious 15bn loan was quickly granted by Buhari immediately he resumed office without any form of scrutiny. People like Ibori, Tompolo etc have more moral rights to fight corruption than Buhari and Oshiomole |
tuale4u:China is not a progressive democracy either. I only referenced progressive democracies. |
icedfire:Faith without works is dead....So says the holy book. If prayers alone could uplift nations, Nigeria would have be a geographical part of heaven. |

Definitely, Nigerians will love this news of hope as we are very hopeful people but we need to learn to embrace reality as well. Nigeria can only deteriorate until we embrace federalism/ regionalism. 55years is some significant number of years to prove that our current system of government cannot work. We are all interested in sharing oil money at the detriment of the numerous potentials which are achievable under our various regions. This primitive lazy unitary system of "share the allocation government" is no more practiced by any progressive democracy in the world. If we must make progress, we must collectively embrace federalism through implementing the confab report. Unfortunately, we might have to wait till after 2019 cos our dinosauric president will never think in that direction. |
No difference between oshiomole's face and mind.... they are both ugly. |
mrvitalis:Your Mile 2 is less than 0.02% of Nigeria. ..... so insignificant. Hope you dont expect us to believe you and disregard vanguard? In the act of sycophancy..... there are limits. |
The actual efforts towards power improvement ended with the last administration. Even when we knew the improvement we met post may 29 was only temporary due to the rains, they attributed it to Buhari's body language. Buhari has remained silent on his power plans. Is he sustaining the gas masterplan left by the previous administration? What is he doing to encourage the investors who have committed funds towards power plants and gas pipelines? Quantum energy, Black Rhino and other key stakeholders already reneging on previous commitments due to the lack of direction by the FG. GEJ did a lot in the background for the power sector. Buhari must at a minimum sustain it rather than mess it all up as he is doing. No power + fuel scarcity + hot weather = frustration |

North is the problem of the north. Since there is no GEJ to blame. .... they will continue to blame every other person and groups but themselves. Like Kukah said, bokoharam is an anti-GEJ tool that went wrong in the hand of the northern elites. Right now, there is no running away... they must live with the monster they created and nurtured. |
Ok |
It will be poor reasoning to think bokoharam cells are not currently operating in lagos. Does NA have sufficient intelligence to stop them? NO Is anything stopping bokoharam from attacking lagos? NO Its only a matter of time. Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gunpowder and unfortunately Buhari does not care. |
