Brace up Nigerians... Its coming. I was called a prophet of doom but its staring us in the face like in a mirror.

IGNORANCE IS NOT AN EXCUSE. The suffering will be intense.
Politics › Re: Recession: How Can Nigeria Revive its Economy? by Flets:
The person of Buhari is the reason for the recession.

Buhari and his northern criminals are just trading our scarce forex for their pockets and intentionally hiking prices
Politics › Re: Onuesoke To Masari: Jonathan Was Nigerian President, Not Niger Delta by Flets: 7:35am On Sep 02, 2016
Nigerians are the most confused set of humans. Jonathan is an exact description of what a democratic leader should be.
How can a Northern elite who champions one Nigeria more than others criticize a national president for not being ethnocentric?

Goodluck Jonathan came at wrong time, Nigeria deserves him in 2050 cos his thought process is miles ahead of an average Nigerian politician. If we must successfully practice democracy, GEJ remains the template.

If only Nigerians had the slightest clue the level of corruption being perpetuated under this FG, they would have stoned Buhari out of office. From Forex, to military spends to undeclared IGRs to many monumental evil lootings
Business › Re: FG Creating Billionaires Through Forex – Sanusi by Flets: 8:16am On Aug 25, 2016
Buhari has no business being president at this time. The level of corruption in the forex market especially among the northern elites is monumental.

There was public outcry when FG approved subsidized FX for mecca pilgrims at 197 but the masses are unaware that most major businesses in the north have always sourced their FX directly from CBN at that same 197 since Buhari became president.

Guess who is being fooled, the illiterate masses that voted the one they call president.
Politics › Re: EFCC Arrests Francis Ayade Over Contract Scam by Flets: 7:39am On Aug 25, 2016
Ayade have been absent from PDP events since assuming office and he has been rumored to have some ties to APC.
Now Ayade shows up at the PHC PDP convention and the EFCC light beams on him. Buhari and APC are very predictable.

Now doubt, the contract in question might have been inflated.... but so is all contracts under the FG and all state governments in Nigeria. Why single this out?

Business › Re: Oil Price Slides But Market Remains Cautious Over Nigerian Militants by Flets: 4:02pm On Aug 23, 2016
The person of Buhari is Nigeria's only major problem at the moment.... He has has to leave the scene somehow. No sustainable agreement can be reached with Buhari as president because his personality exudes nepotism, division, anarchy and death.

Even investors who fled Nigeria would never return under a Buhari presidency irrespective of what policies they put in place.
Politics › Re: How Far With Our Refineries? by Flets:
Nigeria's problem as at today is the person of Buhari. Let it be known that no serious investor without political backing will invest under a buhari government with the policy summersaults that have characterized this bankrupt administration.

Check out this trail of events:
Towards the elections, investors were quite cautious about further investments due to the negative politics played by APC
After the elections, the investor environment was unsettled as the president did not give any policy direction coupled with the delay to appoint ministers
And the first set of policies immediately revealed the negative thrust of the FG, the investors attempted to pull out their funds from Nigeria and the FG/CBN put in more restrictive policies that will not allow transfer of funds. It got to the point where forex could not be issued across the counter even when one has a domiciliary account
The investors got desperate and mopped up all the forex in the parallel market in a bid to immediately leave the Nigerian market.... even when most of them counted huge losses during the capital flight exercises. This further led to the scarcity of forex in the economy and the FG was clueless to discern and aid

Following this hard trail of investor events under Buhari, NO SANE INVESTOR WILL BLINDLY INVEST IN BUHARI'S NIGERIA/ ECONOMY because his antecedents and disposition towards the economy is clear even to the blind.
Politics › Re: FG Orders Massive Importation Of Kerosene, Say Marketers by Flets: 3:14pm On Aug 18, 2016
How low can we get?

Must there be abject suffering before the government looks out for the sufficiency of the masses?
FG have refused to provide forex for the marketers to purchase products yet insist on fixing prices even when a dollar is sourced at N400.

The FG can order any marketer to purchase products if it does not provide corresponding forex...... and Nigerians do not have to die before the FG figures the right thing to do.

Buhari and his cohorts are not just irredeemable but utterly incompetent and hopeless.
Politics › Re: "Three Of Buhari's Ministers Were Saboteurs" - Akamukale, APC BOT by Flets: 10:06pm On Aug 17, 2016
As at today, the person of Buhari is Nigeria's major problem.

A divisive president can only worsen Nigeria's problems. In the long run, Nigeria must embrace true federalism if it must make significant progress.

Take it or leave it, Nigeria is at a dead end.

I remember that saying "Ignorance is not an excuse".
A lot of us shouted ourselves hoarse on social media on the impending doom before the elections but the most of us were too blind to see beyond our noses because of bigotry and nepotism. Today, we have to suffer for the ignorance of the most of us because "Ignorance is no excuse".

The only hope for a united Nigeria is True Federalism. It can only get worse from here if the status quo remains.

blackprowler:
Abeg go siddon. When there's a popular narrative in the media, everybody keys into it. Abi Dangote wen dey build biggest refinery in the world in Lagos dey wait for "restructuring" in order to build it? Who stops states from struggling to be wealthy and make life better for their citizens? If there's something that hinders a state from doing what they want to do, isn't there a provision to amend the constitution? Do you know how many amendments have been made on this 1999 constitution? Unless you speak the grand words, ehen! Countries progress by hard work, not idle, lazy slogans. There's no system Nigeria has practised that other nations haven't practised successfully, yet we are debating process on our idle chairs
There is no incentive for doing the right under the current system. No current governor that recieves lazy monthly allocations from Abuja will border investing in such projects when he can loot through short term civil projects.

The narrative changes when the governor have to generate his own funds which is electricity/power dependent in the absence of free allocation.
Politics › Re: N80bn Electricity Debts: Why Estimated Billing May Persist —investigation by Flets: 2:21pm On Jul 21, 2016
Nigeria's gas reserves is immense for gas energy, infact Nigeria substructure is made of gas reserves with some oil in it
Nigeria has one of the strongest winds on its coastal lines for wind energy
Nigeria has tons of fast moving water bodies for hydro energy
Beneath Enugu state lies massive deposits of coal energy
The solar energy from the sun in Northern Nigeria is unimaginable

Nigeria can comfortably generate energy to power the whole of west Africa but there is a problem.

The problem is Nigeria's structure. We must embrace true federalism today. Let SS generate power from its gas turbines, let SE generate from its coal deposits, let the coastal region partner with wind energy companies, let the north generate solar energy in partnership with solar energy companies, let the middle belt with fast moving water bodies generate hydro energy from our water bodies.

Without true federalism, No region will invest in these alternative but robust energy sources because of over dependence on oil and gas and we will continue to sabotage efforts aimed at generating these energies under this non-functional unitary system.

The Only Hope for a united Nigeria is True Federalism QED.

For the first time in our history, the FG under buhari has refused to pay its cash call representing 60% of its interest in the oil and gas sector yet goes ahead to lift its entire volumes.

How do you lift crude you didn't pay to produce? The IOCs have run out of funds to continue to fund for the FG and Buhari has refused to be innovative in funding the oil and gas operations through alternative means.

The strike is inevitable, Buhari is a disaster.

Under true federalism, only technocrats will govern states. In the absence of free monthly allocation, politics will be less attractive to career politicians and technocrats can rejuvenate Nigeria in two months

Benue and Kogi can easily be a major export hub for agricultural products if a technocrat mans those states
These northern states can partner with solar companies and generate electricity for sales to other regions as they have lots of solar energy
The solid minerals in the north and middle belt can be explored for greatness in the hands of a technocrat

The only hope for Nigeria is true federalism

Quakertellicus1:
I have news for you.
Even without the bombing, even with true federalism.....we will still have a depreciating naira.
For the simple reason that oil is at $50 per barrel.....not at the $120 per barrel we need it to be to make the naira go to 114 to $1.
We don't have enough forex. And the irony is that zero bombing, true federalism= lower oil prices(due to increased production)=naira depreciates further due to lower amounts of orex.
What we need to do now is simple. Face the fact that oil money is not enough.....and get our economy free from resource dependency. Simples.
Without getting into so much of your details, you want to get our economy free from resource dependency?... How do you get that under a unitary federal system that we practice today..... I am talking practical reality.

The only hope is true federalism, that is the only way we can be less dependent on oil. Let me break it down for you.

Under True Federalism, the governors wont be running cap in hand every month to Abuja for allocations. They will sit their ass down and figure out ways to make the states and regions viable. Every region is this country has resources and potentials to be great but there is no incentive or motivation to tap into these potentials where there is some free lazy oil money available for sharing in the name of allocation.

Let every people manage their potentials and resources and grow at their pace. Lets allow healthy competition across the various regions. That would drive tribalism and nepotism to the ground as we are not grappling for common resources. Niger Delta should be allowed to manage their resources and contribute some percentage to the FG.

Listen, nobody sabotages his own property. Militants will not bomb pipelines under their custody. Patriotism at the regional level will be galvanized for speedy growth. The gains are immense. Infact, no progressive democracy in the world practices the rubbish unitary FG system we run here.

Under True federalism, some regions might struggle for a while but Nigeria's economy will bounce back in less than 3 years and will only get stronger from there. Unfortunately, without true federalism..... Nigeria is gone forever.

Imagine a business partnership where a partner has sworn from the onset that such business will never succeed and sabotages every effort to make gains. No such business ever survives and that is the Nigerian case, Bokoharam will disturb a southern president while militants will disturb a northern president.
