Politics › Re: We’ve Overcome Boko Haram, Buhari Tells Investors by Flets: 9:09pm On Mar 14, 2016
What happened to Shekau when Buhari took over? .... why his silence?

Some would argue he was killed or defeated ..... but this all looks like a well played script. Because if an attack on Bokoharam is an attack on the north. ... then embracing Bokoharam would be embracing the north.

But what Buhari and his co travellers forgot is that no sensible and long term investor will come close to the NE in the next decade. They might have won the political plot but failed woefully on the economic plot.

Buhari thinks the world is blind to his propaganda and media gag. Even more advanced nations dont jump to the media with such loose statements.

Politics › Re: President Buhari Wins Polio Championship Award by Flets: 8:43pm On Mar 10, 2016
GEJ brought the following to an end for the most of his tenure:
Polio
Fuel scarcity
Ebola
Blatant election rigging using INEC
Unmotorable roads
Comatose railway
Abandoned agricultural sector
Total power black out
Lack of FDI

Buhari is in a race against time to return all the problems GEJ solved. Even Buhari is not aware what the award is all about.

What exactly has improved under Buhari?
Fashola's incompetence masked with propaganda is now in full glare.

Only fools would expect that Buhari can invade ogoni, fight IPOB, Tompolo and militants. .... and the gas pipelines would be intact..... Jokers

No nation disunited in purpose can make progress. True federalism is the only hope of a United Nigeria

Politics › Re: Nigeria Joins Islamic Collation Against Terror by Flets: 7:35am On Mar 07, 2016
After watching the aljazeera interview video...... its certain Nigeria is in deep poo.

Buhari has shown gross insensitivity on the faultlines of our differences as a people.

is it not enough to answer "No" to the question? ...... why this statement? “Why can’t those Christians that complain go and fight terrorism in Nigeria or fight the militants in the south"

The response to the biafra agitation and the fact that he agreed to have access to forex to send his kids abroad but others who can't afford it should bring their kids back ...... shows a very insensitive man who would rather set the country on fire than acquire common sense.

Acute Forex shortage is not due to crude oil prices like Buhari and his minions will want us believe.

The biggest cause is the massive capital flight that followed Buhari's lack of economic direction. Nigerians are not aware that investor funds contribute over 60% of our forex supply.

Buhari's cluelessness and dumb attitude towards economy made investors pull their funds out. He further placed monetary policies that caused panic in the investor environment. The plan to fund the national budget with MTN fine was the final nail on investors funds.

Buhari is solely responsible for the very poor state of the economy.

To think non of these happened under PDP and Jonathan that south easterners love so much ..

Innosson became more popular under APC regime.
GEJ provided the necessary environment, publicity and incentive for Innoson to be where he is today. His auto policy which revitalised the comatose auto sector is public knowledge.

As a matter of fact, Buhari has no plan for anything including automobile sector. He already budgeted for BMW cars.

Everything about Buhari and his government has been utter disappointment ranging from Speeches, international relations, monetary policies, economic direction, upholding democracy, disharmony among tiers of government especially judiciary, extrajudicial killings, Budget of yams, No capital projects or initiatives, electricity tariff increase, propaganda and lies...and even more lies, political witchhunt in the name of fight against of corruption, denial of electoral promises, increased poverty, reduced FDI, capital flight etc........

What exactly has this govt got right?

Nigeria needs no additional enemy cos Buhari is already doing enough damage both at local and international fronts.

Who in his sane mind paints a bad picture of his home?
Does Buhari understand what diplomacy in speeches mean?

Every nation has its social challenges but they don't go about brandishing it at the slightest opportunity.

Are we worse than the Chinese, Indians, Lebanese and even Americans? Every nation is working at improving itself but not by washing its dirty linen on international media.

And we wonder why all the investors took off after May 29?

Buhari should never have been Nigeria's president at this time of global media frenzy
Politics › Nigeria's Reputation For Crime Made Them Unwelcome In Britain - Buhari by Flets(op): 11:14am On Feb 06, 2016
Nigeria's president has warned his fellow citizens to stop trying to make asylum claims in Britain, saying that their reputation for criminality has made it hard for them to be "accepted" abroad.

Muhammadu Buhari, the tough ex-general elected last year, said those who had joined the migrant exodus to Europe were doing so purely for economic reasons rather than because they were in danger.

He added that because of the number of Nigerians imprisoned for law-breaking in Britain and elsewhere, they were also unlikely to get much sympathy.

"We have an image problem abroad and we are on our way to salvage that"

"Some Nigerians claim is that life is too difficult back home, but they have also made it difficult for Europeans and Americans to accept them because of the number of Nigerians in prisons all over the world accused of drug trafficking or human trafficking," he told The Telegraph.

"I don't think Nigerians have anybody to blame. They can remain at home, where their services are required to rebuild the country."

Mr Buhari's remarks may upset refugees' rights groups, who claim that the vast majority of asylum cases lodged by Nigerians are genuine. In recent years, many have said they are fleeing Boko Haram, the Islamist group that Mr Buhari's army is now struggling to stamp out in northern Nigeria.

However, only around one in ten of the 13,000 asylum claims lodged by Nigerians in Britain in the last 15 years have been accepted.

And the claims of persecution appear to cut no ice at all with Mr Buhari, a headmasterly figure who famously waged a "war on indiscipline" on his fellow Nigerians while serving as the country's military ruler in the 1980s.

Back then, Nigerians could be whipped if they did not stand in line at bus queues, while lazy civil servants were forced to do frog jumps in the office if they arrived for work late.

While he has not re-introduced such measures as a civilian ruler, he makes it clear that a minority of his countrymen could still do with improving their behaviour. "We have an image problem abroad and we are on our way to salvage that," he said.

Buhari is just out to wreck Nigeria.

Imagine borrowing $3.5billion to buy BMW cars, update website at almost 1billion naira, Feed himself with 1.7billion naira among many other frauds contained in the 2016 budget.

And all these without a clear cut plan to pay back. Why on earth should we be spending on excessive luxuries and nonentities in an austere period? No clear economic direction, no diversification and in the face of dwindling crude prices.... and he wants to plunge Nigeria into a mess that we will continue to battle with after he is long gone.

Buhari is just out to punish Nigerians for rejecting him three record times at the polls.

This is a government that has not invested a dime in the power sector
This is a government that does not have a clear economic direction nor a power sector roadmap of its own
But their first instinct is to inflict more hardship of the masses by increasing tariff on a sector they have done nothing on

What happens to first strengthening the regulatory agencies towards overseeing the DISCOs?
What happens to ensuring that every home has prepaid meters first?
What happens to increasing the power supply first to justify the need for tariff increase?
Why cant the govt subsidize the power sector instead of petroleum products?
The criminal and fraudulent excesses in the 2016 budget (website update, double dip zungeru projects, Presidential feeding and BMW car fleets and many other unnecessary luxuries) running into hundreds of billions will go along way in subsidizing the power sector for the next four years.

Buhari's govt is fraud and must be resisted as much as possible
