Politics › Re: Army Arrests Boko Haram Members In Lagos by Flets: 6:38am On Dec 01, 2015
It will be poor reasoning to think bokoharam cells are not currently operating in lagos.

Does NA have sufficient intelligence to stop them? NO
Is anything stopping bokoharam from attacking lagos? NO

Its only a matter of time. Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gunpowder and unfortunately Buhari does not care.
Politics › Re: Fuel Scarcity: VP To Plead With Marketers by Flets: 6:33am On Dec 01, 2015
Except the few months leading to the exit of past Govt, GEJ's govt witnessed absence of fuel scarcity for a good part of his five years (festive periods inclusive).

How come GEJ/ Deziani didn't go about blaming marketers and Nigerians?

Wouldn't it be wise that the new govt take a clue from the previous?

Why plead with marketers? This new govt obviously has no plans.

A man who rose to presidency on the most corrupt platform ever funded by loots from Amaechi and Tinubu has no moral right to fight corruption. He's even more corrupt than most.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Abducts Teenage Girls In Borno, Kill Seven by Flets: 7:52pm On Nov 29, 2015
Someone should call madam Oby's attention to this. We now have 'Bam girls' to add to her campaign.

She can't stop her missing girls politics just yet.

As for Buhari, his body language so far seem sympathetic to the Sharia and bokoharam course.

Its really sad to say, but PMB has been a monumental, unparalleled disappointment.

Why we seem as a country to be perennially burdened with poor leadership is simply beyond me. cry cry
Its more about dumb and shallow followership. How exactly do you explain 'Even if he provides his NEPA bill in place of his certificate. ..... we'll still vote him'.

We celebrate mediocrity and renowned criminals. Even the politicians are aware we are too dumb to see beyond our noses...... so they see no reason to be accountable.

It's not an APC thing. The difference is that they no longer have unlimited access to public funds. They don't have contracts to inflate and award to themselves. I look forward to similar controls in the National Assembly.
Why are you lot easily decieved?

How do you stop a minister from receiving kick- backs on contracts awarded under his ministry?

How do you stop the minister from working with the contractor to include his cut to the contract amount?

Get this into your head... absence of TSA was never the problem.

Iran, Malta and Paris in two weeks
18 trips in 6 months

Which responsible leader ever does that?
Especially where certain issues are begging for urgent presidential attention

Why can't he send Reps to most of these trips? Why must he be the one to attend?

Buhari is just out to have fun after being rejected a record three times. He has moved into Asorock and that is all that matters to him.

He has nothing to offer and he does not care. Nigerians will learn a huge lesson in the next few months.
Politics › Re: FG Denies Salary Cut For Ministers by Flets: 3:08pm On Nov 29, 2015
The salaries were never cut. The numbers published last week was consistent with current renumerations for their offices.

It was just the APC Zombies clutching at straws in an attempt to salvage a thoroughly battered image of their lord buhari by claiming non-existent salary cuts.

Buhari does not care...... They can stone all they want. He's only there to have fun having being rejected a record three times.

It ain't started yet. The punishment for rejecting him before 2015 to be meted to Nigerians will shock a lot of people.

Truth is Buhari has nothing to offer. What I don't know is the reaction of Nigerians when they realise its an empty government.
Politics › Re: Buhari Pampering Corrupt Politicians – Tunji Braithwaite by Flets: 6:32am On Nov 29, 2015
Minister of Finance denied knowledge of returned funds
CBN also denied receiving any recovered funds
Obviously Buhari has not received any recovered loot

But more importantly, Plea bargaining under current circumstances is the height of corruption. What are our laws for if a thief can return part of his loot and walk away. Criminals should and must be prosecuted .... that is the rule of law.

Buhari confirmed he is the lord of impunity by openely declaring that he has been negotiating with thiefs and receiving part of their loots in exchange for freedom.

As a matter of fact, assuming returned loot is true ... then the secrecy surrounding it is also corruption. All Abacha's loot that have been recovered were made public but a dead man can't be prosecuted

Buhari will probably be looting the loot of his life as we get distracted by his planned propaganda. Buhari is a criminal like Amaechi, Tinubu, Saraki, Atiku, Obasanjo. .... it takes stupidity to think he is different.

Where there is no clear policy direction, the economy becomes erratic and unpredictable.

The unfortunate part is that the supposed technocrats within the finance ministry seem clueless on how to salvage the situation. They've tightened everything to be tightened in that sector but its obvious they've diagnosed wrongly because its headed downhill so far.

But most unfortunately, Buhari does not care. His trips are more important.

cool Thanks for the above links, reminding us of the aggressive and potent power of the press that brought down the PDP when their time was up. Luckily for the governing APC, the control of majority of these media houses by their controlling partners has reduced the publicity of the current grave situation. Some of those articles quoted were speculative and at no time of those period was the gravity of the situation as bad as now.
However, we hope and pray that this will not be the norm of the next few years, if the honorable minister of state can be this insensitive in blaming the expectant Nigerians for the situation.
Nice Rebuttal....

What. Point? If DPR(FG agency) has been doing their jobs effectively , those hoarding petrol will and can never do it.

So, the blame is on FG/DPR for neglecting their duties. And not on common Nigerians for thinking about tomorrow in such an inconsistent/unpredictable economy.

Kachikwu does not want to take responsibility. And that is very bad. If u can't take responsibilities, how then can u move on effectively?
That is APC govt for you. There will always be someone to blame
Politics › Re: Obasanjo To Jonathan: "I Hope You Have Learned Some Lessons" by Flets: 7:04am On Nov 26, 2015

1. That being in power is not a do or die affair
2. There are other levels of honourable achievements at the global stage beyond residing in Asorock
3. That it is possible not to be vindictive
4. That it is possible to become more popular and celebrated even in loss

The ONLY hope for Nigeria is true federalism and we must embrace it immediately. Otherwise we will continue to waste our collective hope on these kinds of drama and further retrogression.

We dont have to delay anymore as we are sooooo late. even if we imbibe federalism today, no Nigerian alive today will be alive to witness a Nigeria as developed as the Europe is developed today.

Really? ... Buhari really?

Even if they were not informed when they made that promise. ... shouldn't they be more informed now that Nigeria needs more concrete policies than these stipends?

5k per month or 5k per year?
Inflation Impact?
Which list today shows the jobless amongst us?
Which budget will fund this at these tough economic times?

... the list of questions are endless.

Of what use is 5k when we buy fuel at 200naira per litre ?
What benefit does 5k add during massive inflation?

Politics › Re: Nigerians Are To Be Blamed For Fuel Scarcity - Kachukwu. by Flets:
Kachikwu is absolutely wrong on these statements a d APC needs be reminded that propaganda at this time is not acceptable

1. The APC party have consistently blamed the previous govt on similar events. Since when did it change that helpless Nigerians are to be held responsible? This is clearly lack of responsibility from the APC led govt.

2. Never in the past did APC acknowledge the action of Capital Oil as a noble feat but Kachikwu is quick to term him a hero now in an attempt to pass the buck to the marketers and Nigerians. This is clear hypocrisy

Its laziness on the part of Kachikwu not to sustain the continous supply of refined products like his predecessor did. NNPC under Diezani was ahead of the marketers in the game. There was always sufficient stocks to checkmate the excesses of the marketers when they attempt to hoard.

4. But most importantly, if statements like these should be coming from a man who Nigerians were looking up to end this scarcity menace permanently. ....... it clearly shows that this government has no blueprint or plan
