Politics › Re: Full Speech Of President Buhari At The AU Summit by Flets: 8:16am On Jun 15, 2015
I watched him make this speech.

Almost everyone in the audience had their translators on including English speaking dignitaries.

I personally struggled to comprehend him. No matter the audacity of a message, if improperly communicated defeats the purpose.
Politics › Re: EFCC, AGF, NSA And Others Fight Over Abacha Loot by Flets: 8:11am On Jun 15, 2015
They should quit the fight.

Abacha was not corrupt and couldn't have stolen any funds... So says Pa Buhari
Politics › Re: Buhari Speaks To ARISE TV On New Cabinet, Saraki, Others by Flets:
Buhari should stop explaining the need for joint multinational forces against bokoharam because he condemned the collaboration during his campaign

Besides, he should not blame the ex-gov for his slow attempt at fixing the numerous issues facing this country. Two months after winning election is sufficient time to at least set some direction.

At least focus on the low hanging fruits..... Fuel scarcity should be tackled ASAP ( he doesn't need ministers to set a direction)

The entire economy is speculative and the lack of direction has given the same old enemies of Nigeria ample time to position themselves in anticipation of his first move.

You don't get the opportunity to make the first impression the 2nd time.

As for APC, the interests within the party are enormous and strong. With the immense lack of trust, its only a matter of time before they come crumbling.
Politics › Re: Unemployed, Poor Nigerians To Get N5000 Monthly – FG by Flets: 9:51pm On Jun 14, 2015
We want to end fuel subsidy for lack of funds and corrption yet we intend to pay 5k to poor Nigerians

How do we identfy poor Nigerians?

Where is the database?

Where are the funds for this white elephant project?

Where are the non corrupt Nigerians to distribute the funds?

What is the inflation impact of this move?

This is the most stupid move by the FG ever. Its first impossible then totally add zero value to our borrowing and poor economy

For the records, Nigeria is not a rich country considering our population.

Politics › Re: Aisha Buhari, Dolapo Osinbajo, Toyin Saraki At Presidential Dinner In Aso Rock by Flets: 2:40pm On Jun 14, 2015
Weird Amaechi. .... He was the only male guest on the female table.
Or his wife is not permitted to be at the event? His wife should be sitting there not him.
Politics › Re: Buhari Inside His Presidential Jet (PHOTO) by Flets: 10:16pm On Jun 13, 2015
What's up with all these picture sessions?

So Buhari has the time to pose for pics in a jet he once condemned?

When are we going to start seeing and feeling governance. Petrol is still scarce and price of commodities have increased by a minimum of 15% in the last two weeks

When are we going to start feeling like Nigeria has a president?

Nigerians have better selfies, enough of the pics...... We yearn for action on the campaign promises
Politics › Re: America's Imperialism Agenda: Neo-colonialism: Nigeria: ISWA. by Flets: 10:03pm On Jun 13, 2015
And Buhari willingly and ignorantly fell for their bait.

I am yet to find a nation that the US afforded help that is better off than they were before the help.

Yet ignorant Nigerians gloat over the supposed western intervention. If only they knew ..........

They can't even help the police killing of blacks within their domain

They refused sale of arms at the peak of bokoharam terror......... What has changed that they want to help now?

Is it not simpler if they repatriate the Nigerian looted funds in their banks and economy?

What is their true interest in Nigeria as we know the help aint free? We must answer this question honestly or we would have ourselves to blame in a few years from now
Politics › Re: Say Something Positive About The President You Oppose by Flets: 8:30pm On Jun 13, 2015
Ok.....

An attack on Bokoharam is an attack on the north

If what happened in 2011 should repeat itself, dogs and baboon will soak in blood

Muslims should vote for only individual who will protect their religion

These are the few good things I can say of Buhari.

...keep quiet...what make the projects or cities uneconomical?.... do u know the economic importance of a port to Onitsha as a city in the south east...the income inflow and cost from logistics they incure of Lagos to Onitsha...when u talk of maintenance is d apapa port maintained properly...mtcheew
Take it easy bro, I am all for onitsha port. Infact I yelled and cried for it to come into fruition until I was educated on the challenges.

Onitsha is a shallow port.... as such those high draft freightliners you see at Apapa cannot come into the port.

Secondly, its on an inland channel and not at the sea front. As such, the regular dredging that such port would require will include dredging the entire transit channel from the closest open water and almost on a daily basis. Imagine dredging a distance like from Sagamu to Benin on a daily basis?....... that is entirely absurd.

Considering the points so far, Onitsha port is confined to small vessels and its not good business for freightliners. No one will run a small vessel with less than 40 containers across the Atlantic. Even if they attempt to do, the cost per container will be triple the cost of a heavy vessel.

Ibom deep port is the perfect option. We can have a rail line tranversing Aba and Onitsha.

Same cloth again?

Maybe someone needs to remind him that campaigns are over...... that same cloth does not mean he looks frugal nor poor.

We can revisit his poor status later but he should change this damn cloth.

I pray its see the light of the day...the northerner baffons and south wasted beasts might want to frustrate it just like the Onitsha river port and calabar sea port...
Lets get ourselves educated. Onitsha and Calabar ports are shallow water ports and the dredging maintenance cost makes it uneconomical.

Ibom sea port is the best deal and would be the deepest port in Nigeria thereby attracting heavier vessels than what currently obtains at Apapa port

Politics › Re: Ibom Seaport Actualization Committee Inaugurated by Flets:
This is the way to go. Its high time this lagos port monopoly stops.

It is extremely shameful that Africa's biggest economy has just one functional port all because of tribalism.

Why should intels port at Onne be concessioned to Atiku and NPA allowed him fix duty rates higher than Lagos such that it can only be economic to oil and gas businesses?

Why cant same dredging contract in place in lagos be applied to delta and.calabar ports?

Anyway, Ibom seaport is very deep such that it would not require constant dredging like is done in lagos.

I also urge the yorubas to intensify the call on other southerners to leave lagos as that will encourage investment in Akwaibom state.

The economy of the SS is about to take a new shape. Everything is working together for good.

Take out subsidy and it rises to 30%

End amnesty payment in Dec then add insurgency in the Niger Delta and it rises to 50%

Interesting times ahead.
Politics › Re: Buhari Directs Governors To Decongest Prisons by Flets:
The sure way out of corruption is fix the system, institutions and eliminate bureaucracy.

All the noise about probe and jail is all balderdash and playing to the gallery.

You can only jail one or two but that is where it ends as that never nips corruption.

We must get back to the GEJ template. Fix our systems.... without that we will be pursuing the wind.

Any fight against corruption tied to a personality (in this case Buhari) is a joke especially in our democracy. Strenghten the system, block the loopholes and make it tough to loot.... thanks to technology.

In the absence of the right systems, looting is easy and almost every public office holder is corrupt. With a stringent system, the few who will attempt to bypass the system can be singled out and prosecuted.

Uninformed Nigerians want to draw blood and wanna hear jails...... but to what end? Assuming Buhari jails everyone (albeit impossible)..... what happens after he leaves?

Enough of the pity party, go get the chibok girls.

Politics › Re: Disgusting Photos Of Kojo Street In Ajegunle After The Rain by Flets:
Fashola is the best thing after sliced bread.... so the SW media propaganda sold to us. ... yet they cannot tell us what Fashola did in 8yrs that is ingenious.

Fashola is the biggest propaganda fraud of the last 8yrs.

Now lets leave Propaganda aside..... I need someone to outline 3 key things fashola did that points to ingenuity

Lagos state has the highest IGR in the country yet resposnible for over 40% of total national local debts

For a state that generates over 40 billion naira monthly from IGR and allocations, Where are the capital intensive projects embarked upon by Fashola's admininstration?

Lagos state is already a commercial hub before Fashola became governor.... how did Fashola improve the commercial attractivesness of lagos?

...What policies aimed at attracting investors was put in place by Fashola?

What jobs were created by Fashola's govt (dont mention Lastma) and how did his govt support the middle class or SMEs?

Fashola fixed few roads in Ikoyi, VI, Ikeja and planted flowers, so did Sullivan Chime of Enugu, Akpabio of Akwaibom, Kwankwaso of Kano, Peter Obi of Anambra.... etc; what makes him stand out?

Increasing tax rates and imposing levies on okada riders, shop owners etc is no ingenuity for raising IGR.... What exactly did he do?

Does deporting Nigerians in Nigeria and dumping them under a bridge in the wee hours of the morning sound like an act of a sound mind?

As a matter of fact, people like Fashola should not be allowed anywhere close to this current govt. Fashola's understanding of governance only support the elites which is averse to the touted Buhari's govt for the masses.

Fixing an existing road and tolling it is the height of insensitivity..... and the first in Nigeria by a state government. Imagine if every state government follows the Fashola template by tolling roads built using tax payer's money or allocation accruing to a state.... we would have about 25 tolls in akwa-ibom, 20 in enugu, 23 in anambra....etc.

Fashola and Amaechi led the governors to demand and share the Soverign wealth fund which led to crash of our economy

Fashola filed a suit against signing the Freedom of Information Bill in Lagos state

Unfortunately, we Nigerians hardly reason beyond our noses... and that is why propaganda sells

Fashola looked like a performer because he took over from a a failed Tinubu under whom Lagos collapsed.

Fashola is an average politician and not even near a technocrat.
Politics › Re: Opinion: Has President Buhari Tackled The Electric Power Problem Silently??? by Flets: 8:21am On Jun 13, 2015
Its simple. .... APC was behind the gas pipeline vandalism under GEJ's govt all aimed at sabotage.

APC is now in power and vandalism has stopped. Sooner or later, current opposition will start where APC stopped..... This is Nigeria.

That's patriotism right there.

Nigeria is not a country, our patriotism only ends in our regions.

And that is why we must adopt regionalism or we violently end the cesspit called Nigeria sooner or later.
