Nigeria will bounce back.
No need for Long story. We must continue with the GEJ template to salvage the naira.

Fix oil and gas downstream, agriculture and automobile sector.

These three are the biggest demand drivers for foreign currencies. Demand for dollars will drop by over 85% if we continue to focus on these three sectors.

This aint time for propaganda. .... its time to work.

I might not totally agree with the confessions...... not because its false but could also be framed.

No doubt. ... the US has used terrorism to keep the world in check and has always been through proxies.

More than ever, Nigerians should be too scared that Buhari has invited same US to solve our local problems.

The lizard of Ubima has been thoroughly used.

He lacks support from the home front and currently a liability in Abuja.

Wike is currently unearthing the evil looting of one man who funded a presidential campaign from the state treasury. Amaechi might be the first ex-gov to end up in jail.

There is no way Amaechi's evils and blatant loot will be probed/ exposed ..... and yet he makes Buhari’s cabinet.

The person of Amaechi is a dent on the anti-corruption posture of the new government.

If Buhari insists in including him in his cabinet, then he might need to explain once again what fight against corruption means
Politics › Re: Alex Bade: Niger Delta Militants Are Taking Up Arms, We Will Deal With Them by Flets: 11:55am On Jun 22, 2015
Rotimi47:
The military is getting more advanced weapons and they ain't using most of the ones in their inventory not to talk of the new ones because these weapons were manufactured to kill on a large scale that's why they can't be used on Boko Haram but in war they can be used, as per Niger Delta wanting to square up against the military, they will be killed in large numbers as they won't pity them like the previous engagements as boko haram have made many of them loose human feeling. Please note that boko haram have been killed in thousands sometimes over 300 hundred in a day but these are kept secret due to the issue it may generate, up to 30 experienced foreign fighters were killed in one day by the Nigeria military in one encounter alone but we only got to know and see pictures from soldiers who took part from the battle; is this what the Niger Delta wants? They should know that we have a lot of northerners in the military who will be happy to come over to the Niger Delta to fight due to what is happening in the north. We better be wise. I am also a Niger Delta but I believe in one Nigeria. Person wey never see the real horror of war na him dey pray make war happen.
You don't get it. There cannot be war and crude production at the same time.

Smartly put....'Nigeria cannot fund a war in the Niger Delta'.
Politics › Re: Buhari To Remove Oil Subsidy - Vanguard by Flets: 7:47am On Jun 22, 2015
Its hypocrisy to reject subsidy removal in 2012 only to accept same in 2015 by same people. This move will be given different tribal interpretation in a long time.

Are we ready for the impact of officially selling PMS at 160 naira per litre in lagos and 230naira per litre in maiduguri and sokoto?

Are we ready to buy a cup of garri for 100 naira?, Are we ready to pay 50% more on food items coming down to the south?

What is the inflation impact? What will cushion the inflationary impact?

Until our trains are effective enough for transport of goods and max. production of our existing refineries and commence construction of new ones by the private sector....... It will be a premature move.
Nairaland General › Re: Ambode Declares Second Lekki-epe Expressway Toll-free by Flets: 7:24am On Jun 22, 2015
What does this change?

Tolls were not being collected at the 2nd toll plaza yet and cannot be collected as the stretch of that road is incomplete

But why collection on the 1st toll gate, what is that for? Does it mean every state govt that fixes a road must toll it? What are our taxes for?

Nigerians are stupid..... Why are they hailing this propaganda? Nothing has changed from the status quo... The ripr off at the 1st toll gate continues

Agbaje promised taking out the toll plaza, ethnic sentiments still did not allow residents of that area vote him in for the removal of that toll plaza.

Politics › Re: All Four Refineries Will Produce Only 19 Million Litres by Flets:
GEJ remains the best we ever had.

Without noise and propaganda he attacked the root of Nigeria's problems.
Contract was awarded late 2012
http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/fg-signs-tam-contract-with-builders-of-refineries/106886/

The enemies of the country utilized propaganda to oust a working govt. We missed a great opportunity with GEJ and if the current Govt must succeed, their template cannot be far off

Imagine if we were self sufficient in Agriculture, automobile/accessories and refined petroleum products. ..... Our economy would have blossomed and naira would have significantly appreciated.

These are the three key sectors we spend our foreign exchange on. GEJ narrowed down on these sectors cos that is where the prosperity and employment of Nigerians lie. The agricultural sector is greatly improved, the car assembly plants are back and functional, the refineries which were dead for years are nearly complete for production.

With these three sustained, we won't be trading a lot with dollars and the demand would drop thereby strengthening the naira

Now the dumb ones amongst us have returned us back to the status quo. No direction......

However I must state that the refineries needs to be handed over to corporations to whom refining is core business. Govt has no business running those refineries otherwise it will go the way of NEPA, NITEL, Nigerian Railways, Nigerian Airways, NNPC etc.

Govt can go into joint venture partnership with major refining brands who will operate the facilities like is done in the upstream.

Imokay:
You are lost case, so only Nigerian refineries were designed with the oldest process technology in the world meanwhile a 1963 refinery in Italy is one of the most efficient in Europe today.

I say you are really a comedian, so after all the information you claim to have, you can still compare a car with yearly model change to refinery equipment that basically remains the same for decades with possible material update in spare parts during TAM.

I am currently working on TAM project for a petrochemical plant built in 1980 and the OEMs have their molds in possession of successor companies. All replacement spares we need can be delivered in 6 months and shutdown is planned for 70 - 90 days. New equipment to be replaced will be delivered in 9 - 12 months.
All the pressure vessels will simply be rehabilitated after RBI and integrity test.

Let them continue to deceive you while you wallow in ignorance, open your clogged mind and learn
That's the reason I allow illiterates like yourself shoot yourself in the foot..... I allow you do that.

A while ago, you said two years was too long a time for TAM ranging from contracting to commissioning.

Read your post again, you said delivery could take 9 to 12months and you have 90days planned for the actual work. Now this is 15 months already

Now that excludes contracting, engineering and all logistics in between which could be another 1yr considering the Nigerian environment.

Using your own pessimists data, can you now see its 2yrs or more?

When next you quote 45 days TAM, kindly tell your uninformed audience that it excludes every form of contracting, engineering, procurement, shipping and every logistics in between.

Half education is worse than stark illiteracy...... And you my friend are stuck in between.

If you are truly on a TAM as you said, then you have some learning to do.

Mr. man you are the illiterate here, throwing around words like contract, FEED, machining does not make you intelligent.
For the years while the refineries ran in the same Nigeria which one was shut for 2 years under the guise of TAM?
Until the locust took power and enjoyed the honey flowing from fuel imports.
Because they told you lies of 2 year TAM we should take it as gospel truth?
You want to machine and custom design refinery equipment? you must be a clown, you order those equipment and only shut down for TAM when they get delivered to site
5 years is more than enough for any serious government to build new refineries not to talk of common TAM
I spit on incompetence

Tell us anywhere in the world where TAM takes 2 - 3 years
Nigerians make themselves fertile ground for scamming with half-baked analysts.
Another illiterate here

You can help him provide the durations required for those activities and make sure it sums up to 20 days

Nigerian refineries run on one of the oldest process technologies. Unfortunately none of the modules accessories can be purchased off-shelf because the technologies have been shelved by the original manufacturers.

For this reason, accessories are engineered and manufactured independently specific for our modules.

Its stupidity to compare TAM of recent technology modules and our old process facilities.

For a layman, have u attempted overhauling a 1983 peugeot car in 2015? Where would you find the parts and which serious technician would take on that?

So am all for new refineries ... No doubt. But I won't allow half educated folks like u decieve Nigerians

Ovamboland:
Educate yourself, TAM takes between 20 - 60 days not 2-3 years. You can build a new huge refinery in less than 3 years. With people like you we will be comfortable with building a new refinery in 10 - 12 years
Another half educated Nigerian on the loose.

Kindly educate me with any example when we completed TAM on any of the refineries in 20-60days in Nigeria. Provide info with a reliable link

How long does contracting take?
How long does FEED and detailed engineering take?
How long does it take to machine the parts of our archaic refining module?
How long does it take to ship the machined and procured items to Nigeria and how long does it take to custom clear?
How long does it take to mobilize personnel and equipment to site?
How long is the tool time to do the actual maintenance on the modules?

How can you even quote a blind duration without quantifying the scope of planned maintenance?

Without trying to sound insultive, you an illiterate on this subject.

Interesting developments

1. Bokoharam are now being reffered to as militants and no more terrorists

2. Since after GEJ's loss, all them foreign media like BBC, Reuters etc have lost their enthusiasm in reporting bokoharam attacks in Nigeria

If you think properly, you will realise the script is well written and being played accordingly

Everything is already being politicized.
'selective justice'
'witch hunting'
'apc and okorocha's handwork'

Yet Nigerians want govt to fight corruption to zero level
Maybe, Nigerians should draw up a roaster of who to start with first.
Painful that the victims of corruption defend the corrupt.
Is this ignorance, tribalism, bigotry or lack of common sense?
And that is what some of you have refused to learn. A complex society such a Nigeria and its multi ethnic challenges and ethnocentrism cannot be rid of corruption through the noisy arrest and jail methods.

Every attempt will be politicized and regionalied and would not end corruption either as our patriotism ends at our regions.

Our systems are so porous that every public office holder is jail worthy by default. We must fix these systems first ..... And make it tough to loot public funds.

Only after the systems are fixed can we narrow down to the few offenders who will attempt to bypass the system. For now, both the prosecutor and accused are corrupt.

GEJ was the man that saw through these ramblings and noise
