Only the enemies of Nigeria will choose a Buhari over a Jonathan.

No rational Nigerian will try that.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Campaign Bus And Hilux Set On Fire At Suleja by Flets: 7:14pm On Jan 25, 2015
I might just have to embrace the reality that Nigeria might not survive as a united entity for much longer.

The evidence is all over. Many thanks to Buhari.

SweetJoystick:
It's simple like he said stop appreciating mediocrity... Nigeria is way too wealthy to have these as trains in the modern world... Buhari/OBJ might not have done anything in the rail sector, but they sure did well where they focused on....anything worth doing, is worth doing well
Please name what Obj/Buhari performed excellently on and I will take you on

SWG1:
I don't really understand, Who will they be fighting: the masses that voted, the Aso Rock, or the APC candidates . last time I checked, it takes two to fight a war. If they have what it takes to war, they should have gone to North-East to salvage the boko situation and save their son from being voted out.

By the way I am not a fan of either parties.
I will attempt a response to you because you stated you are no fan of either parties.

There are lots of children on nairaland. I have read comments saying they should take their oil yet never said how the country will survive without the oil.

The truth is, we are stuck with the ND oil for the near and medium term as a country and we can only get out of it if the policies of GEJ on diversification are aggressively followed for the next 6 years.

When the militants say war, reason appropriately. They will only set the oil facilities in their backyard on fire and this does not take more than 20mins. But the resultant effect of that 20mins activity is massive. Oil and gas facilities are not fixed like cars in few days, it takes months and years.

No oil operator will keep running an oil production facillity in a chaotic region. Even if you mobilize the entire army to the creeks, the oil majors will not be in a haste to send the workers back in there. This was the case just few years back.

In between, our revenue is lost. No allocation to states, no salaries (remember 75% of employed nigerians are employed by the govt), no projects, zero investor confidence, no gas to run electricity power plants, anarchy, chaos will be the order of the day.

Am not sure most Nigerians have thought this through before commenting. The few who have are looking at relocating their loved ones after the election.

The militants did it before and Obj and his army could do very little with violence. Yaradua was smart with negotitions and amnesty. Before Buhari is done dealing with the menace, 4yrs will be gone with so much pain. So the kids proposing force and violence for such delicate issue are just the kids they are.

Buhari should submit the one release by his school to INEC.
Agreed, he should at least make a public statement agreeing or disagreeing with the published result.
Politics › Re: by Flets: 5:36pm On Jan 24, 2015
Apt write-up.

For the lazy readers, he said
1. Buhari has no certificate
2. The army of the 80s accelerated the progress of the northerners to suit the grand plan of holding power indefinitely at the detriment of southern soilders
3. The jailing of Awo was preplanned to stall the growth and education of Nigerians which he pursued vigorously
4. Northern politicians and soilders has no plans for Nigeria, their plans are for the north alone

No sane Nigerian who wishes Nigeria well will support a Buhari presidency
Sai GEJ!!!
Politics › Re: Buhari’s Daughter, Halima Opens Up On Her Father by Flets: 4:47pm On Jan 24, 2015
Halima,

Please tell your papa to request for his certificate from Cambridge first

After that he should tell us his plans outside stabilizing global crude price.

And you halima needs to tell us how your poor father futes your expensive lifestyle in Europe since he's been borrowing money all over Nigeria.

Am sorry, this is not military. Only the courts can send people to prison...... Buhari cannot.
Unfortunately the judges are more corrupt than average and the elite can pay their way through.

So when next you go on your anti corruption rant.... verify it makes sense to you.
Politics › Re: What Will Be The Fate Of People Like Asari Dokubo, Tompolo, After Febuhari 14th? by Flets: 4:36pm On Jan 24, 2015
They will be right there.

If GEJ returns, they will remain with more caution

If GEJ leaves, in less than a week, they'll set the creeks on fire and wait for the troops for hide and seek games in the creeks. Before we ever get out of the mess..... Buhari's 4yrs is over. By then our economy will be in a mess, no salaries, no allocations and dollar might even be going for 300 naira cos of no foreign exchange.

Finally we start afresh stupidly in 2019.

shut up.

Refinery cannot be build without constant electricity. Without electricity nigeria is a joke. No meaningful development can take place.
Dont tell me you are this dumb.

Simple question. ... does offshore oil platforms run on public power? Does refineries run on public power?

For your knowledge, most refineries run local gas turbines fuelled by their produced gas. Does it make sense to you that process plants will run on public power.

Get educated and move on.
Politics › Re: CNN Lists Nigeria as 3rd Expected Fastest Growing Economy In 2015 by Flets:
The tripod policy of GEJ holds a very great future for Nigeria.

Its a no-brainer that the agricultural, automobile and oil&gas downstream policies under GEJ spells abundance for Nigeria.

Key examples for a layman

1. If all we did was feed ourselves without import in a year, the agricultural market in Nigeria is worth approx 20 trillion naira per annum assuming 300 naira per day for 170 million Nigerians for 365 days

2. The oil and gas downstream can employ the same number of people currently employed by the upstream. We can have refineries littered all over communties by the private sector in just two years at the removal of subsidy in Jun 2015. This industry will double Nigerians middle class which is the bane of the economy

3. With 5 car assembly plants nearing completion and another 5 to be completed this year. With the Target by FG to have the companies start car parts manufacture in 2017, Nigeria will be the soul of manufacture in Africa shortly and no engineer in Nigeria will be unemployed

4. Imagine if we save the foreign exchange used in importing food products, cars and refined crude oil products.... this will greatly improve our foreign exchange. A dollar could easily equal 70 naira or less by the time we are self sufficient in these three main sectors.

This is the future of Nigeria staring us right in the face and yet some people are screaming change. Change from what to what?

We cant afford to lose these gains. NO, NEVER!!, Unless God has given up on Nigeria. GEJ is a man of the future, shallow minds dont understand his policies.

They've tried bokoharam
They used propaganda
They claimed 'change'
They bursted gas pipelines for power turbines
They've spread uncountable lies
They've forged certificates
They've stoned the president's convoy
They've burnt PDP buses and continued to destroy posters
They've resorted to killing

.....Now they've hacked the military site

SHAME ON APC

Only if Nigerians knew exactly where this projectile is headed, the change they are propagating and the Sai Buhari they scream.

This is clearly aimed at getting power back to north and islam. Every other thing is secondary. But the reaction will raze down this country if they succeed.

Vote wisely.

I laugh at Nigerians

What will hit that country if GEJ is not returned is still unimaginable. You'll all be back here lamenting.

Its no threat, its reality. Anybody can claim militant and ex-militant. But when the time is ripe, we shall know who owns the creeks.
