Chelsea star, Fikayo Tomori, has named Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba as a central factor that inspired him to join the Premier League giants as a youngster.
Tomori joined Chelsea academy alongside Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount and luckily the trio rose through the ranks to become fabulous revelations under club's manager and legend Frank Lampard.
At Just twenty one, the Chelsea posterboy has also been handed a dream-fulfilling England call-up by Three Lions coach Gareth Southgate in what ended speculations of his allegiance to Nigeria.
Relishing on his career, Tomori said he was inspired to join Blues because of his admiration for Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, The Nation reports.
"As a kid, I watched Didier Drogba and his exploit at Chelsea inspired kids with African roots like me," the 21-year-old said.
"I met other guys with Nigerian roots like Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi at the academy and that helped me to feel at home.
"Drogba made every member of my household to support the club, and partly because I was there too," Tomori submitted.
Tomori, who revealed it was hard to shun England call-up, also admitted he never forgets his Nigerian roots.
"I am first child and the only son of my parents. My father hails from Osogbo, Osun State, South-West Nigeria.
"I enjoy Nigerian music, I'm Nigerian; it's my culture and I'm very proud of it," the 21-year-old said.

Drake’s body art is a collection of intricate designs, muses and OVO signs. The latest inspiration that Drake wants to commemorate with ink is singer Céline Dion. But, she’s not a big fan of the idea.

Apparently two years ago, Drake allegedly told Celine Dion at the Billboard Music Awards that he was planning on adding her face to his burgeoning tattoo collection. During an iHeartRadio Canada interview, Dion made a passionate appeal to the rapper in hopes of making sure he avoided what she deemed an unwise decision.

“Please, Drake, I love you very much. Can I tell you something? Don’t do that,” Dion said. “You can write me love letters. You can send me autographs for my kids. You can come and visit. Dion continued to buttress her point by stating how her tattooed face will likely not age well as Drake grows older.

“This is not the money maker over here, first of all,” she continued. “The thing I want to say to you, all of us here, we’re going forward in life. I’ve always been very thin. As time goes, as you go older, you too when times comes my face will go longer and it will go not prettier. Please don’t tattoo. If you do it, just do a fake one.”

Sports brand Nike is planning to extend its campus in Beaverton Ore with four new buildings with biggest will named after award-winning American tennis player, Serena Williams.The tennis star took to her Instagram page to announce the great achievement saying she is honored and grateful.

The new mum wrote:

What a year it has been. First a grand slam win followed by a awesome baby… than the most magical wedding. What next? How about a building!!… Nike announced yesterday that one of its new world headquarters buildings will be named after me. It will be the biggest on campus and is scheduled to open in 2019. I am honored and grateful! #TeamNike @nike

The building is to cover more than one million square feet and it is expected to be opened in 2019.
