If these guys can be preserving Yoruba culture in this way and manner, someone should please tell me why Lagos that is core of Yorubaland should surrender her Yoruba values to outsiders.. ehnn. Yoruba ronu!! |
Melonsmasher:Eyah.. poor Dele Giwa. A lot of great minds have been sacrificed in this country. May God help Nigeria. |
Shivisee1:Igbos faced genocide and pogroms in the North, but somehow the biafran troops marched into Mid West with hope of occupying South West and then "liberate" Yorubas. The see finish from the Igbos no be today something.. it's the reason we are waking our people up to start using their brain to "ronu" and end this nonsense for good. |
I recall Gloria Okon's case.. speculations were rife back then in the early 90s' about her having links to IBB. Just like Dele Giwa's murder, her case remains a puzzle. |
Elusive001:IBB can't claim to know more than people like David Ejoor, T.Y Danjuma and co. who gave their own accounts of the coup because he was junior in rank when the coup happened. It's people like T.Y Danjuma that ushered in the Northern counter coup that killed Ironsi that can tell Nigerians the real events at the time. |
My advise for you is to avoid trouble.. you have no obligations to the woman, let her husband buy her a phone if she needs one. He is working for crying out loud.. so what's your own business with them?. You better avoid trouble and don't allow a jealous husband end your life this 2025. Tell her point blank that you can't give her your phone because you don't think it's the right thing to do.. let her meet her husband or relatives to gift her phone, not you the neighbor. |
Jokes apart, PBAT is a well respected politician in Nigeria, it's only Igbos that try to taint his image and Yorubas are taking note.. I can't forget the Lagos bomb blast of January 2002 at the Ikeja cantonment in a hurry and the role our amiable President played to put out the inferno that claimed many lives in Lagos. That man is a gift to this country, just that some of you despicable beings won't allow the man drink water and drop cup. |
I'm sure he saw it coming.. Trump is pro-White and most of his appointments will go to the Whites. It's his time and his decisions. |
From some of the accounts I read about the coup, most of the supposed coup plotters whose names are.now flying around as against the ones documented in history like Ifeajuna, Anuforo, Nzeogwu and co. didn't have prior knowledge about the coup plot.. they were deceived by Nzeogwu that it was an exercise they were going for only to get to the scene and the "exercise" turned to something else, with some of the innocent soldiers who opposed the brutal killings by Nzeogwu getting killed themselves. There is no way it could have been a Yoruba coup cos no record of any Yoruba soldier pulling trigger on anyone on that sad night.. the Igbo soldiers fired all the shots and it was the reason the July 1966 Northern counter coup targeted only Igbos. |
The Adeleke man is naive.. he should have listened to the counsel of the AGF and Police instead of going ahead to conduct elections in Osun.. it's the same FG that will pay the LG council chairmen and if FG deems it fit not to recognize the elected chairmen, there is nothing Adeleke or PDP as a party can do about it. Wisdom they say is profitable to lead. |
If not for history and video evidence, some Igbo revisionists would have succeeded in pushing false narratives to the younger generation. Zik was part of those who made sure Awolowo was sent to prison because he wanted to undermine Western region political strength.. little did he know that the Hausas are way smarter than he was. As agenda no gree agend again, they planned coup to remove the Tafawa Balewa Government that Zik and his Igbo kins enthroned, then changed mouth to claim they killed people because they wanted to set Awolowo free.. joke of the century. It took several months for Awolowo to regain freedom courtesy of Gowon who dropped all charges against him and declared him a free man. God bless that man Gowon and his entire household. |
franchasng:For the sake of sensible Igbos, I'll overlook and not pass comment on your last paragraph. Just know that your leaders, not Yorubas are the ones holding you back in Nigeria.. some Yorubas too want out of the union but you don't see them blaming or accusing Igbos or Hausas of keeping them in Nigeria. Don't push your luck too far wishing for conflict with Yorubas, we are not your problem. |
Softmirror:Yeah since 1945, Northerners have been dealing with Igbos because of their terrible conducts in other people's lands.. the killing of their Sarduana was the height of it all and the Northerners went on killing spree of Igbos both innocent and guilty. You can see from their conducts that they haven't changed.. now it's Yorubas trouble they are busy courting because they know Yorubas are slow to anger and genocide. |
franchasng:I used to think you're wise but now I know better.. simply because Yorubas aren't blo0d thirsty like the Fulanis doen't mean you can try nonsense with our people. Noone is begging you for love, if you hate Yorubas so much, stay in your region and stop entering night buses to Lagos, Ibadan and other Yoruba cities. |
LegendHero:It is what they have been wishing for.. to engage Yorubas in a fight. These same people have a huge chunk of their population living in Yorubaland. We just use their insults to rub body.. they dare not go near North cos those ones will deal ruthlessly with them. |
The same man that mismanaged billions of dollars meant for power sector reforms back then?.. these people must really think we're fo0ls o. Who is responsible for the mess in Nigeria's power sector today?.. no probe, nothing. |
Mr. Obi has no right to tell NAFDAC or any of the regulatory agencies to open a market for any reason whatsoever.. he has never for once condemned those producing the fake drugs because he is an ethnic bigot, a terrible one at that.. but here he is trying to tell NAFDAC how to do their job. Imagine the slowp0ke telling Government officials to inform fake drugs producers before inspecting their shops. Just imagine the audacity of this fo0lish man. Same way the hypocrite won't condemn sit at home and other human rights violations going on in the South East but will be poking nose up and down in matters in other regions. |
Imagine a coward that fled war front to Ivory Coast after losing the biafra war asking another dictator Abacha to kill a duly elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for demanding that his mandate be restored.. Yorubas have suffered in this country called Nigeria. PBAT deserves a second and even third term for this injustice on South West. |
BloomingDale:You and I know the reason Awolowo didn't die in that January 15, 1996 coup was because of his incarceration in Calabar prison.. Claiming soldiers toppled the Government at the time to install Awolowo, a civilian as Head of State (or whatever nomenclature they planned to use) is laughable and pure falsehood. |
Awolowo was too learned and sophisticated for such.. it's only Igbos that will go and kill people unjustly (errand noone sent them) and then turn around to claim they did the evil acts to install Awolowo.. install Awolowo as what? Do you have any legal power to install someone as PM or Preisident without election or due process?.. you lots should keep deceiving yourselves. |
phantom:M.K.O Abiola was a man of vision, a true leader that got massive support from North to West.. he lost in Igbo States and Igbos still played the lead role in annuling the election he won fair and square... you can't compare M.K.O to your packaged Agulu fraud a.k.a religious war merchant who rode on campaign of calumny and divisiveness to secure the meagre votes he got in places like Lagos. We'll see the lies he'll come up with in 2027 that will make him secure South West votes. |
lightwind:I disagree.. Yorubas fought for return to democratic rule during the dark days of Nigeria under Military junta. You must have heard about NADECO and the June 12 struggle. Yorubas (including maybe few Igbos) fought that battle to save Nigeria. You see likes of Arthur Nzeribe, this Peter Obi some misguided ones are rooting for and many other Igbos were beneficiaries of Military dictatorship and anti-democractic principles. Obi was an appointee under Abacha when men were challenging the status quo. |
agadez007:She is the widow of late Odumakin and she is Igbo. |
Why didn't he retire Vatsa silently instead of the execution Vatsa faced for coup allegations?.. those Military guys back then acted recklessly, it's either 100% loyalty or you go. |
I'm sure most sane Nigerians are against the attempt by IBB to rewrite history.. the only truth in his book is the part he admitted M.K.O Abiola, GCFR of blessed memory won the 1993 presidential election, others are just manipulations. |
IBB is entitled to his own opinion about the January 15, 1966 coup d'etat planned and executed by majorly Igbo soldiers just like others e.g. David Ejoor and co. who termed the coup as an Igbo coup because of the pattern it was orchestrated, killing only non-Igbo leaders and elites in Nigeria. You can plan something with a group of people and they'll go behind to carry out their own sinister plan without your knowledge.. January 15, 1966 coup was a coup within a coup and North and West suffered the most casualty. The reason we are stating these facts is not to crucify their offsprings but to remind them of history and the events that followed (such as the July 1966 Northern counter coup, pogroms and bl0ody killings of Igbos across the North and eventually the civil war that claimed millions of lives in Nigeria). If you watch well, you'll see that Obi and his followers are towing the same path today sowing hatred and discord all over the place simply because he lost election.. see Igbo youths holding spaces on twitter inciting one another to attack Yorubas and Yoruba leaders, not to talk of the hate broadcasts of Kanu on radio biafra before his arrest and incarceration. It's very wrong of IBB to come out and heap blame on Gowon for not saving Igbos.. in that instance, there was nothing Gowon could do because the Northerners were in sad mood over killing of their leaders and Igbos were rejoicing over it, calling Northerners unprintable names and using ethnic slurs on them. That alone makes the book a NO NO for me. I won't be party to lies and half-truths. |
beejay85:Don't stress much with that guy.. serious ground work is going on in the North regarding gas pipeline security for Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) and the Trans Saharan gas pipelines.. heard from the horse's mouth and the person was Commander operation lafiya dole. The Military and Security services are all involved with 24/7 surveillance, any boko wey go near, na sorry. |
beejay85:The Europeans need gas from Nigeria as most nations in Europe no longer want to depend solely on Russia for their gas supply. They need gas badly so they'd certainly see to the success of the gas pipeline project. I'm sure Niger republic and Burkina Faso are aware of what is at stake. |
CDS is a Nigerian Government official most likely on official assignment to attend the event of veterans in Canada.. there is big difference between an asylum seeker and a delegate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria sent on official duty abroad. He might not even spend up to a week before returning to Nigeria.. who wants to stay under bad weather situation?. |
The Agulu fraud and his fellow hypocrites won't see anything wrong with this news since it didn't happen in Lagos or other parts of South West. Let LASG demolish a distressed building or illegal structure erected on darinage channel, you'll see them wailing and writing uselsess epistles up and down about how Igbos are hated and are being persecuted. Shameless ethnic bigots |
Antichristus:Nigeria will start selling gas (which Nigeria has in abundance) to North African countries and countries in Europe. The idea is to get the gas to Algeria and then meter and sell the gas to Europe through existing gas facilities in Algeria. Nigeria would probably sign contracts and agreement with Algeria to enable her use Algeria's facilities. It's a big deal and game changer if it scales through.. Nigeria will become wealthy (in dollars) once sales of gas to Europe commences and we won't have need to flare gas again in the Niger Delta and other O&G producing areas. |
That's the Trans-Saharan gas pipeline project that will transport gas from Nigeria to Algeria where European nations can also be serviced Kudos to Niger republic for signing the deal. It's been years since the gas project was conceived, alongside OB3 and AKK gas pipeline projects. Better days ahead for Nigeria |
