The President who is the Head of Government is entitled to a Diplomatic passport, same is the case for senior Government officials and senior public servants. From position of Deputy Director and its equivalent in the public service, you're eligible to apply for diplomatic passport which will make your journey outside the country stress free, with ease.
Nigeria can decide to suspend the Canadian ambassador in retaliation and he has to leave Nigeria till the matter is settled.

Lagos State House of Assembly and all public offices in Lagos can and will adopt Yoruba language as means of communication in order to preserve and promote Yoruba language.

If Igbos don't want their language to go.extinct, they should relocate en masse to their envlave and enact laws in their home States too that will preserve their language. You can't stay in Lagos and be scheming to preserve your language in another man's land

I think it's a practice in the Military that when an enemy surrenders or willingly lay down their arms, you grant amnesty.. it's a guiding principle somewhat for combatants in armed conflicts.

Kwara State which Ilorin is part of is largely a Yoruba State because Yorubas are the majority in the State.. note that some parts of Kwara State like Edu Local Government Area is home to the Tapas (also called Nupes) who spread up till Niger State.. there are other minority ethnic groups in Kwara State but Yorubas are the largest there and the Yorubas there carry their Yoruba identity with their full chest.
All Yorubas worldwide share a bond beyond what you and your likes can comprehend.. I mean true Yorubas o, not the ones that can't speak Yoruba language or those who don't think in Yoruba but want to become Governor over Yorubas.

If you sit down and do nothing, they will claim ownership of your lands . they attempted to claim ownership of parts of Yorubaland (despite Yorubas being a major ethnic group in Nigeria). They deployed all tactics including women, half-breeds, saboteurs etc. all to no avail.

Start educating your folks on the need to preserve Ikwerre heritage, language and culture.. no treaty, not even UN documants allow any ethnic group to claim another ethnic group. This is the reason for diversity which is part of the fundamental human rights.
