Why I Don't Support Tinubu for President of Nigeria

Personal reason: I don't like the choice of his Vice, he strikes me as the true face of Boko-haram.

Health reason: He is obviously struggling with his health and memories. It is not his fault that he is old, but it is his fault that he has refused to rest. I won't push him to an office that his health and age will not carry. He will end up ruling by proxy, which is not good for a country like Nigeria.

Reason based on justice: GEJ and his party were voted out of office based on incompetence, it is only fair that with the woeful failure of APC that has superseded that of PDP, the party should not be rewarded with another tenure.

Based on morals: Tinubu has consistently lied. He lied about his age, his education, and his family. They even hired people to act as bishops and priests in one of their unveiling programs. I do not trust anything he is promising. Even more, is the fact that he is an alleged drug lord and he has not denied his dealings with illegal drugs. My moral conscience won't allow me to consider him.

Religion: He is Muslim, his Vice is a Muslim and they both want to take over from a Muslim. In a country like ours with about 50% Christians, they are simply saying that the North has no Christians. And to make it more obvious, El Rufia in one of his recent interviews described the northern Christians as an "enclave".

Issue base: His major drive to be president is based on the fact that he considers the presidency as his turn (emi lo kan). Even on issues he has spoken about, none is coherent. And even if you think anyone is coherent, they don't seem to have emanated from him.

Note: I have the right to my opinion on the candidates.

Lady in tears after getting beat up in danfo for saying Tinubu will emerge as president

Lady breaks down in tears after she was reportedly beaten up by commuters on a danfo bus for saying that APC presidential candidate, Tinubu, would win the 2023 election.

In a video making the rounds on social media, the unidentified lady was seen being jeered by some passengers.

One of the passengers could be heard saying that everyone is angry with the present condition of the country.

The lady who was still in tears after being unfairly beat up for jokingly stating her own candidate said that she as well doesn’t like the present state of Nigeria, that she had only been joking.

“She jokingly said Tinubu will win the election,” the caption attached to the video read.

Farmers under the umbrella of the United Integrated Farmers Association of Nigeria (UNIFAN) have endorsed the candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi, as their presidential candidate.

The farmers said their support for Obi was as a result of his track record in the agricultural sector when he served as Governor of Anambra State.

The National President of UN IFAN, Pastor Akinlami Aduragbemi Eric, while addressing members of the association and representatives of other related associations like the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), said farmers in the country had no choice than to support Obi’s candidature as a result of numerous challenges bedevilling them.

He said one of the cardinal points of Obi was to shift attention from a consuming economy to a productive one; with farming taking the centre stage.

In  his message, UNIFAN’s grand patron, Stephen Osunkeye, noted that in the last few years, there has not been any serious intervention in the food crisis and hunger, adding that farmers have not been supported adequately, especially those in grassroots.

He expressed hope that if elected, Peter Obi, would provide low interest/soft loans to the farmers and improve on budgetary allocation to the agriculture sector.

Other speakers at the event, including AFAN’s chairmen in Benue and Enugu states, expressed optimism that if given the chance, Obi’s administration would prioritise access to funding to farmers, as well as address the issue of insecurity which was presently preventing farmers from maximum production.

Do you know that Obi had to secure a job for his daughter and relocated her to Lagos due to spate of insecurity in Anambra.
Obi directly had little to nothing to do with the improvement in education in the state other than the missionaries he handed the schools back to. You must be enlightened that Tinubu was the first to hand mission schools back to them as Governor while Obi copied his template in Anambra.
Do you also know that Obi himself as the sitting Governor signed into law the pension law for ex Governors of Anambra state?.
As a majority shareholder of Fidelity bank,he directed all state's ministries and agencies to domicile their accounts with the bank. The bank literally housed the state's revenues. You wonder how the bank's worth which was so small before Obi became Governor suddenly blossomed astronomically during his 8 years. The more money in the bank, the more money in Obi's pocket.
Go verify the claims, if any of them was false, I'd stop taking you for a clown.

If You Provide Evidence I Gave CAN N2 Billion Bribe, I’ll Quit Presidential Race – Obi Blows Hot

Reports of the alleged bribed flooded the social media space on Sunday, with some stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, mocking Obi.

The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi has challenged people spreading fake report that he gave N2 billion bribe to members of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN to gain their support. The allegation was made by a pastor.

The alleged bribed flooded the social media space on Sunday, with some stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, mocking Obi.

Reacting, Obi debunked the report saying it is false.

Spokesperson of the Tinubu Shettima campaign council, Festus Keyamo and other APC stalwarts tweeted the allegation on Sunday.

The development followed an alleged petition reportedly written by one Pastor Frank Onwumere and addressed to the CAN President, questioning why the alleged N2bn was shared by some churches, while others were excluded.

Reacting, the CAN National President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh in a swift statement on Sunday said the organization did not receive any money from the presidential candidate.

He vowed to find the source of the petition and take proper action.

Speaking on the matter, the former Anambra governor, in an interview with Channels TV on Monday, said he does not even have N2bn to give anybody.

He challenged those peddling the allegations to come up with evidence, stressing that he is ready to quit the race if the allegation is proven to be true.

He said, “I don’t even have N2bn let alone giving anybody such money. What am I giving them N2bn for? They are clergymen, they should be praying for the country and they don’t need money to do that.

“I believe that the clergymen also have a problem. Their followers are suffering so they want good governance. Why should I give them money? They should give me money to be able to support me in terms of being able to run around for my campaigns.

“I can comfortably tell you that I have never given one Naira to CAN and if anybody can prove that I gave one Naira to CAN, I will stop running”.

In the North, Tinubu is not connecting with the people and is instead relying on praise singers and APC governors to lead his campaign. Professor Yusuf pointed out that Tinubu only performs at campaign events and then leaves.
