You know you were being reasonable until you drag tinubu and buhari into it, especially calling them corrupt. Do you have any case against them? If it's all these regular talk, how's obi different? I am sure you know they are all called thieves.. So how's obi better than them? On capacity, is obi better? Did he tell you since how he will fix the country?
Go and verify. Google is your friend.
If you are asking me this unreasonable question at this time, it means you have zeal up your mind already. No amount of explanation can convince you. But my prayer for you and your family is that, may APC's Nigeria never happen to you before you become wise.

OK, why did obi or how did obi inherit the endsarz people? I knew Sowore was active during the endsarz, before, and after.
Obi inherit Endsars people because people know he is not corrupt. Only someone who is not corrupt can fight against police brutality. Corrupt elements like Tinubu and Buhari can never oppose police brutality. Check their comments during Endsars protests and check Obi's comment.

As for Sowore, activists don't make good leader. Do you know Sowore is the chairman of AAC? He is also the presidential candidate of the party. He doesn't trust anyone. No sensible and honest person will approve such selfishness.

It is easy to see that Sowore would be very intolerant and autocratic if he enters into government. You can see how Reno, FFK, Keyamo have messed up. When Sowore also get to the dinning table, he would do worse.

PoliticsObidient Movement: The Day Bayelsa Stood Still For Peter Obi by floret23(op): 8:43am On Sep 24, 2022
The government
They strongly believe in the course and that was why they all trooped out on Saturday, September 18, 2022 to support the presidential candidate of the Labor Party, Peter Obi. For them, it is now or never. They said Nigeria is in dire need of positive change which they believe will be actualized when the Labour Party presidential candidate becomes the president of Nigeria. That was the reason why Bayelsans especially youths trooped out to march on behalf of Peter Obi brandishing posters with the names of Obi and his running mate, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba- Ahmed. One interesting thing about the march, which started as early as 7 am of that day from Tombia/ Etegwe roundabout to the sports complex and to Oxbow Lake was that nobody expected anything from anybody as people contributed their individual money to take care of some logistics.

Residents troop out
Not minding that Bayelsa is a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state, the atmosphere was serene for the Obi/Datti to do their thing without any form of obstruction unlike other states like Ebonyi where the march was disrupted. Of course, there was enough security from the police to give them security in case but interestingly, there was none as the march recorded a very peaceful outing. Called a one million man health/fitness walk, the Obedients who marched from Mbiama-Yenagoa road, went with their low bed trailer with other Dyna vehicles which were initially positioned in different junctions to take people from their destinations to the Tombia roundabout the venue for the take-off.

Colourful attires
The Obidients wore white tshirts and face caps branded with the pictures of Obi and Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed holding the Labour Party flags and fliers while dancing to music and singing solidarity songs. Even those that couldn’t afford the branded t-shirts and caps all came out with other attires to join happily trekking to the joy of all. At Oxbow Lake the venue where the walk terminated, the state chairman of the Labour Party, Eneyi Zidongha addressed the people and said the massive turn-out was an indication that Nigerians have become wiser and decided not to give an opportunity to politicians who will destroy their future. The chairman disclosed that citizens have confidence in Obi and are ready to take back their country from those who have recycled themselves over the years. The chairman said “The massive crowd shows clearly that Nigerians have decided for their future. They have decided to say no to unemployment, and insecurity. They have decided to say no to politicians who are supposed to be role models but instead are destroying the lives of Nigerians.

Govt must wake up
“Nigerians are saying today that if we can walk freely to say we want someone who can lead us, someone who has confidence, integrity and they can trust. And today they are all out for a fitness and health walk, just to demonstrate our love for our country. “That shows that they want to take back their country from the hands of those who are recycling themselves in power and their entire families. Someone will have his wife at the senate. Another will have his children in the house of assembly. These are people who are determined to run the country as their family business. Nigerians are saying enough is enough.” Also speaking, Furebi Akene a surveyor and a Bayelsan an elder statesman who said he left Abuja to Yenagoa because of the walk said, “I just took the decision to be an Obedient. Looking at the situation in Nigeria, everybody is tired of the destruction that was suffered at the hand of the so-called democracy from 1999 till today. “Some people feel that they own the country. How can somebody come and tell you that it is my turn? That means they have shared the country turn by turn. One has sold everything we have in Nigeria in the name of privatization and they want to sell human beings now. So Nigerians, we are tired. It is a new dawn. So we have to take over for the benefit of every Nigeria even the unborn child. You make up your mind nobody will force you. That is the movement of Obidients.”

Obedient structure
On the rumour that Obi does not have a structure, he said, “What is a structure in the first place? Underline the word and asses the mental stability of people who said that Obi does not have structure. What is a structure in the first place? You see the crowd today and what has been happening in other states. “Structure is a group of people who gathered together and be stealing Nigerian money and oppressing our people with the money they stole. They steal your money and oppress you with the money. That is what they call structure. Here, you can see that there is no hired crowd, no women group is dancing. No man is dancing. Everybody volunteered. You cannot see a place saying that we are sharing money.

Future hope
“What structure is better than somebody who made up his mind to say, this is what I want. So the structures they are talking about, maybe they don’t understand the meaning of structure. If they really understand the meaning of structure, they will not say Obideint doesn’t have structure. “To crown it all, I was a member of PDP and I moved to APC but I never participated apart from the David Lyon election. The APC cathedral in Bayelsa is a one-man business so I didn’t follow up. As a commissioner, I went there to make things work and I warned the leadership of the state particularly, that the chief executive doesn’t listen to professional advice so I walked away. “I resigned for the benefit of Bayelsans and for the sake of the state and the Labour Party movement is that we are for the development of the people and the environment. The people have to benefit. I attended primary, secondary and university but in university, my parent had minimal money. “Okilo gave us a scholarship and that money was good enough to take care of my accommodation, my registration everything including my feeding. So I want a government that will come in a way that both the poor man child and the rich man child will attend the same school. That is the meaning of Labor and that is the meaning of Obedience. “My advice to the youth is that they have brains. They should be resourceful. Look at the people, when they give you N5,000 to go and destroy people, carry ballot boxes and so on, where are their children, where are their family members and what I’m saying is that they made me change the classical definition of politics to a classification that says it’s a game of very stupid people. “I put it that way in one classical definition the reason is that you run around if this man doesn’t win we won’t rest, but when they die the family will take over. How many of these people are related to the candidates? The youths should take up their lives and see who will represent them and give them advice and which way to go. They will give them knowledge, advice, and ideas to grow not to depend on somebody giving you N5,000 and saying that you want to pay house rent, and you want to pay your children’s fees. So we want to bring back the government that everywhere will be good so the youths should support us so that we can actualize that.” An administrator and a public servant in Bayelsa, Dou -Ere Otuka, said: “If Peter Obi comes in as somebody who is highly educated, who has the experience, he will put things in the right perspective. You can agree with me that ASUU has been on strike. If he comes, he is going to rectify it.

Nigerians tired
“Do you like what is happening in the north? There are killings everywhere. We don’t want it. If you are not there, maybe your relative is there. It could be an army officer. It could be a police officer. People have died and every family is crying. If you have this opportunity to stop it, please join me and let’s stop it. “Obedient is the answer. They have so impoverished us that 1000 is very meaningful and that is the strategy that they are going to use and we have gone past that level. We are here. Nobody paid my transport fare to Tombia roundabout. Voluntary services are what we are doing and together we will make it happen. If we don’t take it now, Nigeria will die. Nigeria is coma. Let us be the oxygen to bring back Nigeria. “Wari Denyefa a lecturer in federal polytechnic said, “Peter Obi is the man for the people. He is the shining light for Nigeria. I want to charge all youths to come out in mass and vote for the man that understands the plight of Nigerians the plight of the youths. Where ever you are, come out and support this course.

Lecturer speaks
A lecture with Niger Delta University and a member of Peter Obi support coalition Bayelsa State, Dr Charles Oyibo said, “We are out to sensitize people about the need to take back Nigeria. We are sick of what the structure is making us suffer in this country insecurity, poverty, deprivation and the fact that students are still at home while their kids are abroad schooling. “This is not about partisanship or political movement. It is about a movement to take back Nigeria from the greedy despotic leaders that have proffered over time. This is a clear demonstration that people are simply tired. That is why you are seeing this mammoth crowd today. No money was paid to anybody. Everybody you see here today came on his or her own conviction that it is time to do the needful., Chum Dalyot Paul from Plateau State said, “We are facing insecurity. They have been killing our people and the government is not saying anything. That is why we are supporting the man from the South East. I will never support anybody apart from Peter Obi.”

It's because you are not an economist. As an economist, you will tackle the biggest problems first, because solving them will solve other problems by half.

For example, tackling insecurity will increase food production. Deregulation of oil sector will increase government revenue and eventually lower petrol pump price due to market competition. Fighting corruption and reducing cost of governance will leave more money for education, health and agriculture sectors development.

You can't tackle all the problems at once.

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi yesterday in Lagos unveiled seven economic master plans, his administration will concentrate, if he emerges the winner of the 2023 election.

The LP candidate, in his engagement with the private sector under the aegis of the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), said what his government will do was to ensure creating the right environment and follow up on implementing those policies.

He said he will engage in aggressive private sector driven economy and block leakages in government.

Obi added that his government will deal with insecurity issue as fast as possible by overhauling the total security architecture and encourage creation of state and local policing.

The LP candidate said under his watch, no government assets will remain idle, assuring that all will be put into productive use in partnership with the private sector.

He said his government will encourage massive production centre growth for food security, ensure effective legal and institutional reforms and expand physical infrastructure

The Revenge Of Nigerian Youths And The Rise And Rise Of The Obidients - By Achike Chude
Just when we were in despair that our entertainment-loving youths would never step up and stand up for their country, the unthinkable happened in October of 2020 as they rose from their deep slumber in unison and with one voice, embarked on one of the biggest pro-Nigeria, pro-people and anti-government protests in the annals of our much-beleaguered country. It w toas an amazing spectacle to see our young people from the south engage in the politics of the country - the downside being that northern youths were not on the same page with them. But happily, the younger generation of our northern brothers and sisters are waking up to the fact that we are all under all manners of socio-economic siege.

Suddenly they have become afraid of them after calling them "lazy Nigerian youths".

It was an amazing spectacle to see our young people from the south engage in the politics of the country - the downside being that northern youths were not on the same page with them. But happily, the younger generation of our northern brothers and sisters are waking up to the fact that we are all under all manners of socio-economic siege.

Yes! Our youths had woken up and have shown that they are averse to going back to sleep. They will now fight the fight that we and our parents refused to fight for them. It is a fight that they must win or go down fighting. It is the final battle for the soul of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. And it is a fight that must be done with our support.

Yes! Our thieving and roguish politicians and elites never reckoned with them. That is why they never truly invested in them except when they had need of their youthful energy in the perpetration of crime, mischief and havoc. They have been useful to them all these years in the unwholesome acts of electoral fraud and intimidation of voters as well as the murder of political opponents.

While some of our young ones have seen the light and are struggling to change their narratives and the trajectory of our country, others have continued to walk in the dark and have remained under the thumbs and control of their traducers and paymasters. Some of them have branched out into insurgency, banditry, unknown gunmen - all, anti-social activities for which they will pay the price at the appointed time. It is a fact of life that nothing lasts forever - not even evil.

In their myopia, our now thoroughly discredited political class still think that they can keep our youths down forever. It is why they denied them the education that liberates and motivates them to become good citizens. Educating the citizenry will give them the capacity to ask questions about their country and governance - questions the politicians do not want to be asked.

And as the children of the political elites were sent to the best educational institutions in the world, their parents who were busy masquerading as political leaders in Nigeria were busy spreading division and poverty in our country through their misgovernance, maladministration and their unending and unbridled looting of our treasury.

Now, as a result, we are now a country of over twenty million-out-of-school children - the highest in the world and a country of extreme violence, kidnappings, death, dizzying poverty and a country in which those citizens who have the means are escaping or 'japaing' with their families to other saner climes.

But we all cannot run away from our country. We have become the proverbial animal that has been backed to the wall and has no other escape route except to face the frontal challenge. It is forward ever and backward never.

It is why a vast army of Nigerian youths are responding to the call by former President Olusegun Obasanjo who has told them that the fate of the Nigerian nation is in their hands and that they have the numbers and energy to make the change.

It is why they believe that those who have handled political power in the country at the centre for the past twenty-two years and failed so spectacularly must not be given another chance to complete the demolition job they started in Nigeria from 1999 to date.

It is why they are on social media, arguing, rebutting, refuting, haranguing and propagating their visions, their expectations and their hope for a better Nigeria for all.

It is why they are on the streets across different states in Nigeria in their thousands preaching, rallying, crying, and praying for a Nigeria in which social and economic justice, equity, fairness, competence, national commitment and patriotism will be the hallmarks of political leadership and responsibility.

It is why these youths believe that if the PDP governments of Presidents Obasanjo, Yar'Adua, Goodluck Jonathan, and APC's Muhammadu Buhari did not embody these critical elements and virtues of governance during their over twenty-two years in power, then they must be retired come 2023 and their suffocating stranglehold on Nigeria ceased.

It is why they believe that the politics of "We no dey give shishi" is far more valuable, far more superior and agreeable than the shameful and dehumanising politics of "stomach infrastructure"

It is why the majority of these youths are 'Obidients.' It is why they have embraced the Obi/Datti Labour Party platform. Because they know that in content and character these two leading lights of the Labour party are vastly different from those of the leading political parties in Nigeria. At one time or the other, they might have made incursions into the politics of Nigeria as senators and governors, but they have largely remained unsullied by the contradictions and corruption of the system.

But the #Endsars generation of youths is not supporting Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed solely for their sakes. They are doing it for themselves. They are fighting for themselves. Just as the younger generation has become an instrument for the political fortunes of the Obi/Datti movement, so also have Obi and Datti become instruments for the actualisation of the political ambitions and visions of the youths for a better Nigeria. Obi and Datti cannot afford to fail them if and when the politically unthinkable happens.

If we were not afraid and ashamed to vote for Jonathan and the PDP in the first term, and we were not afraid and ashamed to do the same for Buhari and the APC, should we now be ashamed and afraid to vote for others, especially when presented with candidates with far better credentials? Besides, why would the discerning youths support those who gave the order or supported the order to the Nigerian Army to shoot at them on the night of October 2020 at the Lekki Toll Gate during the #Endsars protests?

Yes! The chickens have come home to roost. The political elites have suddenly realised that the youths, if they stick largely together can make a difference in 2023 and it is a nightmare situation. They have become afraid of the power of youth anger. It is why those of the major political platforms are seeking to change and control the narrative on social media. But this is like daring the lion in its den. On social media, the younger generation is riding the frequency and airwaves in cyberspace. It is their habitat and ecosystem. They are in charge 100%. It is why, out of frustration, their traducers have resorted to calling them rude and disrespectful - as if they are deserving of respect - the unconscionable renegades and enemies of our country.

May the revenge of the youths yield bountiful fruits in 2023. We all need it regardless of our religion, ethnic group and geo-political provenance.

State police is far more than the millita that work under Amotekun, Ebuagu and Sharia police. If armed robbers came and attacked...them lot would call the NPF. Not attempt to engage them...because they can't.

You need to arm them (not possible for most of the above) build training facilites, and also provide weapons, buildings, jails, and forensic facilites for the police.

Also, we need to reform our judicial system drastically...so that we don't have things like awaiting trial crowd....

At the end, if state police comes, it needs to be funded properly by TAXES...which most of you lot are not willing to pay.
I won't argue with you again because you have made up your mind not to accept the possibility of positive change. Politicians have made you believe nothing can work in Nigeria. My prayer is that you will be alive to witness positive transformation by Obi next year.

You guys are free to vote for Obi. I don;t recall telling you not to. And FYI...Tinubu and Atiku too have talked state police in the past. But one thing you Nigerians don't get is that it has to be paid for.
That means you once believed in Buhari. I never believed in him. I actually expected him to perform worse.
