Or they could be saying, "I'm hurting and this seems to be the only option." Later to find out it was a mistake because it changed things for the worse.

no doubt, 2cantango (love that handle, by the way) but knowing and giving into the fact of knowing are two different things. Sort of like you know it's wrong to lie [interchangeable] but at times you do it anyway. You could also know it's wrong whilst doing it but you follow through with it anyway.

charlisco:
infact self i do not think something so secret should be send as text message, as any body can read it when you are not with your phone
which is exactly why my phone is password protected. Putting in the wrong password so many times causes the phone to erase everything on it. Everything. It can all be reloaded after attaching it to your computer where there is a back up of files which is also password protected. I have sensitive things on my phone regarding others personal information so I'd not take it to nicely if someone takes it upon themselves to rummage though it.

Thagodfada:
Mistake na mistake. Doing something you didn't have the intention to do.

When drug or alcohol is involved that is a whole diffrent ball game. That is operating under the influence. So if your sense of reasoning is clouded by a substance, that is not a mistake.
Agreed completely.

wormedup:
I still find it difficult to believe that one person can be on ONE mistake ( and making it ) for 2 hours or more !!!!

common guyz shocked huh
At the moment that could be the last thing from your mind. Also, people can not understand the ramifications of their actions until after it's done thereby making it easier to see it was a mistake after the fact.

Africanboy, not to be confused but I don't see anything particularly wrong with answering one anothers phone. If that's the way your relationship is set up and it works, that's what counts.

As far as phone credits, I'm not sure what that is. huh

RomanceRe: Can One Make Love By Mistake? by flower(f): 5:26pm On Mar 08, 2006
I think we're thinking of two different kinds of "mistakes" so let me first try to understand you.

When you say mistake, are you refering to one being on drugs to a point where they are not concious of their actions OR are you refering to and action being done, either concious or unconcious that is a moral/ethical mistake OR are you refering to both?

I think it's only an issue to those who want it to be. We have an understanding that we don't pick up one another's phone while others have an understanding that it's alright. I all comes down to what works for the couple. cheesy

I see. Whether he's there or not I don't pick up the phone. I either silence it and let it go to voicemail or take it to him. I do the same with the house phone.

Philippians 13b-14: I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven."

Yes, he wouldn't be able to die if he weren't born and we wouldn't be born again if he was never crucified. They both are important. grin

No, don't read anyone elses' things without permission. It's an invasion of privacy. If they say it's ok, then fine. Otherwise, it's being nosey.

I think by the time you reach 2 years you've already settled into a routine with that person and have already made your self comfortable and suseptible to continuing to live with this person without marriage.

I agree with you 2cantango. It's just sometimes we neglect those deep down feelings or we write them off only to feel guilty or ashamed later. There are plenty of times we know something is wrong but that doesn't stop us from doing it.

Stephanie,

I know this must be a real hard and confusing time for you, and we could give you all the adivce, be it good or bad, we can think of. Ultimitely it comes down to you, what you want. Maybe you can take a nice long break from him and focus on finding out what it is you want. Clear your head of what your Nigerian friend says, what your family may say, what your husband says, and what we here at NL have to say and find out what it is you want. I'm saying this because we may not know the whole story so we'd be making one sided suggestions.

Take some time, write it out or do whatever it takes. Find out if you think this marriage is salvageable or not.
