IsraeliAIRFORCE: Stop being ridiculous, tell me what sector the Southwest was neglected during GEJ administration?
Key Ministry, Army, Police, Civil service, NNPC, Oil & Gas, Maritime, which area of government was Southwest neglected.
Your problem is this fixation on the Southeast and which office they occupy when they are not even in-charge of any Executive power since return to democracy in 1999.
It's quite unfortunate Southwest (Political and Economic class) don't compete rather they eliminate competition in its entirety as to strive.
I understand it is a taboo in Southwest for a southwesterner to deputize his Southeast counterpart in any political office or public service in Nigeria.
It's quite unfortunate.
Ordinarily I don't engage in issues bothering on supremacy unless it becomes essential and unavoidable.
My Prayer will also be a sharing formula where each of Nigeria's six regions get one each for every six items shared only in political and public offices while merit (the best of bests) is applied in others
Good bye. Dude, who are you tryna fool with your epistle? Your reputation as an igbo supremacist and Yorubaphobe is not in doubt going by your past utterances in these regard. That the SW was clearly marginalized under the last administration is not in doubt as GEJ himself admitted it severally so I don't get why you would try to white-wash a situation that even the President at the time acknowledged. You said the SW doesn't compete but rather "eliminate" competition. This statement exposes typical igbo hypocrisy into full glare, as your people as a group are even more so guilty of this allegation than those you accuse. In what way have we tried to "eliminate" igbos? Is it our fault that you schemed yourselves out of reckoning at the National assembly? Or do we not open our arms to your people who flock to our region in droves? We sell land to you in our region without qualms (something even your own people admit they won't do to a foreigner in igboland and use to taunt us by bragging about buying up our lands). How many foreigners or non-indigenes can or are currently competing favorably in any field of endeavor in igboland -- even if they are from the SS? Your people are the real culprits in the area of intolerance and elimination in the face of competition, even amongst themselves. Yorubas have calmly played opposition for decades without igbos coming to our aid or showing sympathy and we endured -- even in the face of clear igbo antagonism in many cases. All that while you all cozzied up with the governments at the center to our detriment but we weren't deterred and kept playing our politics. We (as a region) took a calculated risk during the last elections and it finally paid off, and now all of a sudden we are the bad guys? ? You people make me sick at times. |

IsraeliAIRFORCE: You should shout it far, wide and louder
Notwithstanding their rejection of one of theirs GEJ made Mulikat Akande from SW the majority leader of the 7th Senate If we are to go by your crass logic, then going by the way Jonathan's gov't treated the Yorubas who voted en masse for him, then the igbos who out rightly rejected Buhari should not even expect anything at all from this government then. Saraki should do the needful and decamp to the PDP coz for as long as he remains SP against his party's wishes, while clearly doing the PDP's bidding, he will lack legitimacy. Everyone knows that the bulk and base of his support is the PDP. The only APC senators supporting him will ditch him when the heat gets too hot, as it's looking more and more by the day. He should just decamp once and for all. |

Metuh should admit that he and his party goofed and consequently tender an unreserved apology to the APC and Daura, or present the only concrete proof to buttress their allegation: his APC membership card. |

TechRev: Awusa and Yorrrrobber told them that Igbo man is their problem. Come on, you can do better than this. Even if truly they were told that, are you saying they are too dumb or foolish to make up their own independent minds? Truth is that the former Eastern Region minorities themselves are divided on their perception of the SE/Igbo majority. They have lived as neighbours for centuries so they dont need a Yoruba or Northerner to lecture them about their igbo neighbours. No need scapegoating the North or the SW as being responsible for whatever divisions that exist in those regions. Those folks are grown enough to independently decide for themselves, regardless of what the SW or North "told them". |

Politics › Ambode Welcomes Walmart, Seeks Firm’s Support On Job Creation - Punch by Flyoruboy(op): 5:11pm On Jul 30, 2015 |
Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has assured a delegation of Walmart Incorporated that the state is ready to give necessary support to assist the firm in establishing its presence in the state.
The delegation of the firm, a leading global brand in retail supermarket, was led by the President and Chief Executive Officer of Walmart Europe, Middle East, Africa and Canada, Shelley Broade, on Thursday.
Ambode said the presence of the Walmart brand in Lagos would go a long way not only to create jobs for the teeming youths, but also boost the economy of the state.
He said the success story of the brand, which currently operates in 28 countries with over 2.2 million employees, would be beneficial to the growth of the state as well as his vision to make life comfortable for residents.
The governor said, “That summaries the reason why Walmart has to berth in Lagos. We are committed to expanding the business scope for Walmart and like I said, I am interested in having your brand signature in Lagos.
“You have been pro-people and that’s why we find a congress between the objectives of Walmart and Lagos State Government.
“As we speak, we have a population of over 21 million people and four million of that population are in the middle class. We have a bulging youth that is craving for employment and whatever it is that we do, we want to make sure that we attract as much investment to Lagos that can help us to take our youths off the streets and give them employment.
“What I stand here to offer is the commitment to make the investment climate favourable to investors. We want to ensure that whatever it is that would make the business bigger for you, we are committed to it.”
“I want to assure you that if it is in the area of land permits or authorisation for issues that relate to setting up business, we are committed to making sure that we fast-track and do it as transparent as possible to allow more businesses to come to Lagos.”
Broader acknowledged the investment opportunities that abound in the state, adding that the Group was ready to expand its business horizon and create jobs for the people.
She said, “We are incredibly excited and proud to be in this exciting state of Lagos. Just looking at the burgeoning economy and at the growth in this market is very exciting and now Walmart operates around the world in 28 countries and our mission is to lower the cost of living, to help people save and live better.
“The passion that you feel right when you land at the airport, there’s an excitement here. You can feel that this is a state within a country really on the move forward. There is a smile on the people’s faces; there is eagerness and there’s a mission that they are on to better themselves and their families. It’s very exciting.”

IMO, Saraki needs to purge himself of the PDP stench to regain his legitimacy. For as long as his tenure remains majorly dependent on the opposition senators, he will remain a danger to his party, same way Tambuwal was to GEJ'S presidency. He can choose to frustrate the presidency under PDP influence. That I think is a no-brainer. |
