kai! starcomms just de frustrate me this holidays. every 5minutes e go disconnect.

@samir101. toshiba is holding the fourth spot in laptop sales, and it makes just laptops. apple is good but definitely not the best. sony makes classy and expensive notebooks. for me, my lappy got to be rugged. just got myself a thinkpad. they say they are legendary, i can't agree any less.

Right now I use a 12.1" Acer Travelmate 6292. It used to be a 14.1" hp compaq 6510b.

had a friend that bought the acer christino was talking about, the poor thing started smoking and blew when it was plugged to a projector so all acer owners BEWARE, the owner is traumatized, trust boys we didnt give him peace when it happened.

that's a joke. my first, second and third notebooks are all ACERS. Acer makes good notebooks. ever wondered why  it's the leading notebook maker and the third global pc vendor?. for every brand, there are models that suits the need of business people. these  models are are made a little more rugged than notebooks that are intended to be used more often stationed at a place. for example they have features that safeguard your HDD, spill resistant key boards, carbon fiber or magnesium -alloy casing etc. you find such features in Acer travelmates, Dell latitudes, sony viao BZ series, toshiba tecras or satellite pro,Lenovo thinkpads etc
when i chose a laptop, i consider this factor. i carry my notebook around very often.
another thing to consider is how you handle your notebook.

starcomms is not reliable. very inconsistent.

give us more details. like coverage, office, website, etc

multitouch? nah. my keypad responds just as well. accelerometer,proximity sensing, etc, if only all these will improve network quality, you know what? send me mms of a short video clip done on your iphone.

iphone. you make call, receive call, send text, receive text. then listen to music,watch videos, play games, surf, my cheap but cool E51 can do all that.

some times it makes a lot sense to hide your ip if your internet traffic is originating from nigeria. i bought a CD in uk that can create a website for you, but down in nigeria when i wanted to activate the package, guess what i saw:

are they scared to advertise the 3G? MTN is busy putting 3G and EDGE radio in every city and expanding coverage in already covered towns and villages, and advertising seriously too. now that's a company that means business. one more thing, the speed is very good!

this starcomms network problem is getting on my nerves. them no fit just put one evdo mast or radio to enhance coverage? na so the evdo radio cost?

RIM carved a niche for itself in the corporate world where it has strong foothold. the reliability and security of its email service has gain the trust  of a large number of business executives, sale force team, etc. its only now that its trying to capture a larger market share by making trendy handset designs and incorporating multimedia features in these models. just like they say, all work and no play. the iphone has a sweet UI, makes music and games a pleasant experience, beyond that,it's just another phone out there.

@cabali. instead of throwing blanket statements, go down to specifics. what features in the blackberry have you noticed shortcomings or what areas has the blackberry not lived up to your expections. give us sreenshots too.

Who said storm can come close to being an answer to the iPhone?? or even The nokia 97? thats all rubbish! If you like the iphone for what it does, the u will not get moved by the blackberry.

I have always said the blackberry is overated! completely overated. Its selling point used to be push emails but now nokia, SE, iPhone and others do push so what do I need a blackberry that is tied to RIM for
